Sweets for the Sweet Amazing Fold Card

Here is the second Make ‘n Take that we made during my Luau Catalog Launch Open House. Who wouldn’t love getting this colorful little card and isn’t the ruffled ribbon just fantastic? This card is an Amazing Fold card that was a special Make ‘n Takes for demonstrators during the Alaskan Cruise this spring.   Each year Stampin’ Up! offers an incentive trip to its demonstrators that they can earn. Demonstrators who earn this trip get an all expense paid vacation for two and get to enjoy fun events with Stampin’ Up!, in addition to sneak peeks and lots of free goodies and stamp sets. Want to learn more about joining my team and being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator? Click HERE for more information.

This special card uses the Sweets for the Sweet stamp set which is so much fun to use. For those of you who were unable to attend my Luau Catalog Launch here is the FREE tutorial for this card. Just click HERE to download your FREE tutorial.

Butterfly Pin Convention Swap

I got such a great response from my card that I showed you in my July 24th  post that I was inspired to try and make the butterfly into a pin to wear for a convention swap also. Everyone that saw it loved it and so this is going to be my next swap at my SINKS demo meeting in August.  I just love the way it turned out! My husband quickly grabbed a few for gifts before they were all gone.

My Friend Tutorial

As promised in yesterdays post, here is the card we made at the Luau Catalog Launch. I just love our new In Colors, don’t you? Stamps sets that are nature oriented are always appealing to me and this set, My Friend,  lends itself to so many different techniques – it’s a must have for the new or experienced stamper.

Luau Catalog Launch

It has been crazy around here lately so I apologize for not posting the past week. Our daughter, Kaitlin, started Band Camp last Monday and since I am the secretary of the Boosters Club there has been a lot to do, so I haven’t been home much. In addition, we are hosting two of the visiting band staff members in our home which has been a lot of fun. Of course, when I am home I have been canning or freezing the items coming out of our son’s gardens. With this long stretch of heat we’ve had lately I’m afraid there won’t be much left before long and no tomatoes I’m afraid this year.

There are so many different things that I have been wanting to share with you that I will try and get caught up over the next couple of weeks, this include the tutorials I’ve finished but haven’t posted yet. So check back frequently.

I held my 3rd annual Luau Catalog Launch the last weekend of July and I think everyone had a great time. There were lots of samples of cards and other projects to see, a silent auction, retired items for sale, along with drawings, door prizes, demonstrations of some new products and 2 fabulous Make n’ Takes! Whew! There was a lot going on – I thought I’d share some pictures with you from my two day event.

Here was the table that held my free gift to everyone who came, a “Catalog Survival Kit”,  along with some of the door prizes and of course the Grand Prize of over $50 in merchandise in one of our fabulous reusable totes!

And of course it wouldn’t be complete without some punch and goodies to snack on. Thank you Helen for sharing your brownie recipe they have been a big hit in my household as well as at the Luau!

Here is a shot of some items that we have made in past Clubs. I have another club starting later this month. If this is something that might interest you, why not check it out by clicking HERE.

Here is a shot of some of the card items that were on display.

Everyone was able to relax and check out our new 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalog while enjoying the goodies.

And here some of the past class projects I’ve done, along with some things for  my upcoming events. You can click HERE to see my calendar of events.

Make  N’ Takes were a hit and they used all of our new In Colors  – the colors are just so beautiful.

The first project used our new stamp set Sweets for the Sweet and was a 3-D card made on the Alaskan Cruise Incentive Trip this past spring. I’ll be posting a tutorial for it later this week.

The second was a card using our new stamp set My Friend and our new Lace Ribbon Border Punch. I’ll be posting more information about this card along with step by step directions tomorrow.

Everyone could try out our new Designer Frames Embossing folders on the Big Shot. Along with our Letter Press Plates.

Even my husband couldn’t resist sitting down and making his own card to add to his personal stash.

Missed the fun? Wish you had our new 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog? Why not give me a call or drop me an email to find out how to get one of your own! You’re going to love it!
