Well Said Thank You

Today’s project is a thank you card that I designed to to go with a small gift as a little thank you for those customers that helped me reach my $100,000 in sales.

I whipped up a quick tutorial so that you can make some too. I used the Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper for this project since it coordinated with the note books. I just love the bright, bold, and cheerful colors used in this pack of paper.

Hello Cupcake Birthday Wishes

This past week was my birthday and so today I thought I would share some of the wonderful hand made cards that I received. It’s always nice to receive birthday wishes by snail mail verses face book, don’t you think. I know I enjoy them up on my mantel for weeks.

Since Sale-a-bration is in it’s final count down I thought I’d share this fun pocket card done in Lemon Lime Twist with you first.

Cute right? I love this cup cake and good news you can still earn it during the last 5 days of Sale-a-bration when you place a qualifying order.

This second one is soft and lovely done with the Marbled Background stamp and Dandelion Wishes stamp set.

And how about this card done in a quilt like design using scraps – my fellow stamp has challenged herself to create with her scraps! Love the idea. No surprise since I love quilts too.

And this final card is a thank you I received. It is an oldie but goodie but goodie retired set – dragonflies are always a hit.

That’s it for the day. It’s late since I just got back from the grocery store after a fun day day crafting and working with the NEW March Paper Pumpkin Kit that just arrived. I’ve got a fun alternate project I will be sharing with you soon.

Vibrant Vases & More Team Fun

Here is another group of cards my team made – Team Time is fun time and I’ve got a great group of creative crafters as you can tell from yesterday and today’s projects!

How about the bright and cheerful Vibrant Vases stamp set (148656) used to create this card to start with.

Our 2018 In Color, Lovely Lipstick has been teamed up with our Pool Party Classic Ink to create this colorful vase. Dimension has been added with the Vase Builder Punch (147040) that coordinates with the set. And the 2018-2020 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack (146963) and Dynamic Subtle Embossing Folder (143706) adds interest and texture.

The fun Twisted Card fold has been teamed up with our Abstract Impressions (147513) sentiment which is perfect for this project since Wanda designed it to hold a little pack of flower seeds. And of course the flower image is part of our Beauty Abounds stamp set (148726). One of my favorites from the Occasions Catalog.

And I just love purple, so this fun card made with the Butterfly Gala stamp set (148580) and the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper (Sale-a-bration 149622) is a perfect combination.

Sue made it even more fun by curving the words around the focal point on the inside.

And yes this was done by cutting the sentiment stamp apart. (Gasp! I know, but trust me it’s ok – the photopolymer stamps make this easy to line up on your block when you want it all in one line again.)

And finally this soft and lovely card made with the Tropical Escapes Designer Series Paper (146916) and the Painted Glass stamp set (147458/147461).

Happy Tails & More

Today’s projects were all made by my team members for swapping at our March Meeting. Sharing ideas is part of the fun when we gather each month, since we all have different styles of stamping. I love seeing what everyone has been up to crafting.

This first card uses the Happy Tails Bundle (150631) found on page 33 of the Occasions Catalog.

It has a cool fold that when open reveals the sentiment inside. The Classic Garage Designer Series Paper was used for the background and pulls the colors together that are used on the card. And since a lot of us have 4 footed family members this bundle is a great choice.

And this next card uses the Geared Up Garage (148590) and it’s suite of products. So we’ve got tons of products to choose from for the dudes in our lives.

I love the way Shirley used the punched out piece (from the Triple Banner Punch) of the wheel pattern to create the arrow design in the right hand corner. That would have been trash other wise – clever.

And how about this fun card using the So Hoppy Together (Sale-a-bration 149725) stamp set?

I really like the way that Cindy used the Dynamic Corrugated Embossing Folder (148026) to create the latch for the card. And how about those googly eyes? Fun!

And here is the final project for the day – a cute little 3d box that hold a couple of pieces of chocolate made with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch (133324).

Do you have your 2017-2019 In Color Reinkers?

Sale-a-bration is winding down and getting those reinkers you didn’t get for your ink 2017-2019 In Color Ink Pads is a great way to build your collection AND get FREE Sale-a-bration items too!

Beauty Abounds Never Ending Card Tutorial

Today’s card is a fancy fold. This past month one of my team mates, Sue shared the way you can make this card with the rest of us. I couldn’t resist giving it a try with the Beauty Abounds stamp set and our lovely Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper that you can earn for FREE this month.

Here is what I came up with. There are 4 sides to this card so you have Never Ending options. LOL!

You can earn this Sale-a-bration product when you place a minimum purchase for the supplies I used to make this card, or for that matter and purchases. How great is that?

Here we go

Side one:

two:

three:

and four – which contains the final sentiment piece.

This card is sure to impress!

Want to see how I made it now? I’ve tweaked a few things that Sue showed us since I found it easier for me to put it together this way. So here is my video tutorial for you.

So why not give it a try?

Beauty Abounds Never Ending Card Video Tutorial

Beauty Abounds Never Ending Card Tutorial PDF

This card can seem pretty complex until you break it down one side at a time – and of course the more you “work it” by opening all four sides in order the easier it gets, since the card will kind of have a “memory” of its movement.

And it’s a special sized card, so it won’t fit in a standard envelope; so you can make your own envelope for it using the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper and the Envelope Punch Board (133774). Making it extra special for that special person who receives it!

Just a tip: For a more complicated card like this I like to keep a “pattern” that I’ve made with scratch paper or card stock with the directions – so the next time I want to make one I have a reference to look at too.

Enjoy!

And stop back by tomorrow when I’ll be sharing some of the wonderful projects my team members brought to the March meeting to share.

10 Year Anniversary Special – Just 7 Days Left

A Tisket a Tasket a Highland Heather Basket

Today’s project is my take on a quick and easy basket. AND it’s perfect for spring, especially since it uses our lovely Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper!

I made this basket with a moving handle so it is more like a picnic basket than an Easter basket. Don’t you love the little bit of lace on the handle? I made this with our Decorative Ribbon Border Punch and it was so easy to do with just a small strip of Whisper White card stock.

Want to whip some of these up too? They are a nice size so add a little shredded paper and treat and you’re set to go. You can make a ton of these with just one stack of Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper and it comes in a variety of spring like colors so they are perfect for giving to others!

Here is my a video tutorial and PDF for you –

Gingham Gala Basket Video Tutorial

I hope you’ll enjoy making these cute little baskets too.

On a personal note I thought that I’d finally share the home improvement project that I was working on with you. I mentioned it a couple of weeks ago and then realized last night that I’d taken the pictures but didn’t share them. Sigh. Some days… lol Can you relate?

Any how here is what was keeping me busy – I still have a couple of finishing touch of things I need to do, but it’s all good.

I had a great time watching my son work on and build the cabinets and then watching the kitchen come together after dreaming about it for so long. I’m bias, but I think my son has done a great job. It turned out beautifully and I really like the look of the hickory. Johnathan did a beautiful job of choosing the grains so they look nice. I love doing projects like this together – great family time and memories being created in addition to a functional end result. You’ll get to see it yourself the next time to come to class, since this space is for our use and will make things easier than the old temporary kitchen set up.

Fable Friends

It was almost 70 here in the North Georgia mountains and it was a wonderful breath of spring. Don’t you love that first sunny day, where you can shed your coat and bask in the rays? For me it’s all the shades of green now that I live in North Georgia. I’m surrounded by fields and love all the different shades of green. I’m lucky, yesterday I got to watch the calves frolicking in the new grass next to the house. Ah, spring….

So today’s card is perfect for that spring feeling – Fable Friends can be found in the Occasions Catalog on page 30 and it’s filled with images perfect for spring!

How can you not love these little faces – ducks in particular hold a special place in my heart since as a child my dad bought me 4 baby mallards ducks at the 7 Mile Fair that I raised as pets.

Anyhow…. want to see the card?

I love this guys little sailor top so I knew exactly what I wanted to do with him – Poppy Parade and Blueberry Bushel make this sweet little squirrel pop. I’ve whipped up a tutorial for you so you can make some too. Why not check it out?

Enjoy! And then stop back by tomorrow when I’ll be sharing a fun 3d project with you that is perfect for your spring needs!

A Quick Note about supplies:

The Sale-a-bration products and Occasions Catalogs have been hugely popular and as you know our catalogs do state on the back that products are while supplies last. So if you don’t see something in the Online Store it is sold out, or has been removed until supplies are replenished (like with the Butterfly Duet and Cake Builder Punches that will be in our 2019 Annual Catalog).

Make sure you order the products on your Must Have Shopping List now to prevent disappointment and of course if you have questions please let me know. Keep in mind Stamps are typically available until after the retirement list posts since we produce these.

Here is what Stampin’ Up! told us yesterday:

Due to complications with our die supplier, we’ve run out of the Doily Builder Thinlits Dies (item 148553) in North America and they will not be available in the future

Here is a current list of Dies that are in low supply at this time and will sell out soon If we sell out of these dies, they will no longer be available to order:

  • Wonderful Floral Framelits Dies (item 148529)
  • Rose Trellis Thinlits Dies (item 148549)
  • Detailed Birthday Edgelits Dies (item 148548)

And of course the Sale-a-bration Coordinations Dies have been extremely popular – the Call Me Cupcake and Hop Around Framelits Dies have already sold out.

As always please let me know if you have any questions.
