Construction Zone Card Tutorial

Today’s card is one I created as a OnStage swap in Houston. I just love this little Construction Zone stamp set (161582) with it’s fun little images and have shared a number of tutorials with you using it.

I’ve chose to do it in bold colors and the Stampin’ Blends make that easy to do.

While looking through my stash I found an unlike choice for the Designer Series Paper, the Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper (161304) with it’s fun black & white patterns.

I chose this pattern because it made me think of tire tracks. This card was so quick and easy to create. Check out my video tutorial.

Want to make this card? I’ve got a printable PDF for you today that includes everything you need, even the video link.

Fun with Shutter Cards & the NEW Flowering Zinnias Designer Series Paper

Looking for a quick and easy card. Today’s card uses the fun Shutter Technique to create a bright cheerful card for spring.

It’s another tutorial using one of my favorite punches. Today’s card uses our fun little honey bee to create a quick and easy card to send someone who has been sweet.

This card uses the Bee My Valentine Bundle (162554) and items from the Suite found in our Mini Catalog and while it has Valentine in the name it’s not just for Valentine’s Day as you can see. Check out my quick little quick little video showing you how I created this card.

Construction Zone Pop Up Box Card Tutorial

Remember today kicks off a whole week of fun tutorials to celebrate my 15th Anniversary as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. It’s my way of saying thank you for being part of my journey, I wouldn’t be able to do this without all my wonderful crafting friends.

So today’s card is a fun little card that is 3d and uses the Construction Zone stamp set (161582). It will fold flat when you want to mail it and pops up and creates a little box for you to display making it a lot of fun.

This card is great for the guys in our lives and our Stampin’ Blends make it a snap to add bold color.

For this card I chose to team it up with the Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper (161289) and fun Deckled Circle Dies (162286). I just thought this side of the Designer Series Paper looked a lot like our red Georgia clay! I just love how our products are so versatile and work together. Don’t you?

Want to see how I created it? Why not check out my video below?

Cutest Cows

Cows. They dot the hills and landscape behind my home and around me. In the spring I get to see the babies and as they grow get to watch them frolic around the fields. Cows have been a part of my memories as long as I can remember, as my Uncle was a dairy farmer growing up in Wisconsin so when I saw the Cutest Cows Bundle (162897) I knew it would be a fun set to work with.

Check out these fun little cards using the bundle. This first one uses some fun sunflowers in the background that have been colored with our Stampin’ Blends. The background has also been sponged to create a sky and ground the grass.

And this next one while it has the same images the colors used make it bright and cheerful. Isn’t it amazing how just a change in color makes things feel so different?

Next a fun little card using our Deckled Circle Dies (162286) and Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper (161640).

A Bubble Bath Stampin’ Blend adds color to the Designer Series Paper hearts and a bit of shine with the Adhesive Backed Sequins Trio Pack (161206). Last but not least is a fun little card using the punch to build the little cow.

This card uses the punch to create a bold pop of color and the stamps to create the face and grass along with a bit of color added with the Blending Brush. the sentiment has been stamped and then cut apart and popped up. And the Brass Butterflies (158136) add a nice bit of shine and whimsy.

I think you’ll find this Bundle a lot of fun to create with.

And if you missed my fun little treat tutorial I shared with you earlier you can click HERE to see it.

Perennial Lavender Suite

Lavender. The sweet smell and calming feel that comes with it as you breath it in. Stampin’ Up! has given us a wonderful Suite of products highlighting this wonderful plant that is filled with a variety of images.

And the sentiments found in the Perennial Postage Bundle (162608) are wonderful for our upcoming Mother’s Day and needs through out the year. Check out this lovely card sending a virtual hug in the mail that uses simple stamping.

Want to step it up a bit? How about some dies and embossing folders like this next card uses?

The Perennial Postage Dies (162607) and Basic 3D Embossing Folders (Online Exclusives 1611598) have been used along with the Painted Lavender Bundle (162597) create a card that is filled with texture. And finally a fun fold with a quick and simple technique.

Our Clear block has been used to create this water colored wash block of color behind the lavender. And this technique is so easy to do. Simply ink up your block first with the lighter color, in this case Fresh Freesia and then add a darker shade like Gorgeous Grape to the one half use our Stampin Spritzer (126185) filled with water to spray it and allow to blend, then stamp. Voila! a great look, right?

Quick and simple techniques like this are a lot of fun and so simple to do too. It’s part of what drew me to Stamping in the first place – creativity at it’s best.

Why not check out all the products in the Perennial Lavender Suite (162613) and see what appeals to you? Remember if one of the items are on back order in a Suite or Bundle you can still order the other items separately.

You’re a Rock Star

If you haven’t seen our Rock & Roll Suite Collection (162710) and have a budding musician or music lover, you’ll want to be sure to check it out. This set is great for all ages, and gives us a great option for teens too.

The Rock & Roll Designer Series Paper (1627036) is done in all black & white so you can add color or use as is and has a retro feel to it. Check out this first card that uses strips of the one pattern as a back drop and another for the sentiment.

The little Adhesive Backed Lightning & Stars (162709) add a quick pop of color and texture.

They come in 3 different colors including white which allows you to customize colors if you want too. This next card uses a different approach with its Glimmer Paper, the Three Color Glimmer Paper (Online Exclusive 162813). This pack has a choice of Highland Heather, Pretty Peacock, or the Petal Pink that was used for this card.

Some texture was added to the back ground with the Basic 3D Embossing Folders (Online Exclusives 1611598) and a bit of sponging in Cherry Cobbler. The fun little Petal Pink gem is from our Petal Pink & Pretty Peacock Foiled Gems (162587) which coordinates wonderfully with this pack of glimmer paper.

So what do you think? Like the glimmer look? or the Retro one? I love the way we can use new products with older ones that we already have. Stampin’ Up! coordination is what drew me to them in the first place.

Fun Resist Technique & the Detailed Dogwoods

The end of Sale-a-bration is coming quickly on Thursday, February 29th

and that means our Free exclusive products will be gone along with the opportunity of joining my Team and getting the exclusive Glass Matt as part of your Kit

So today I thought I’d share a couple more cards with you using the Detailed Dogwood stamp set (Sale-a-bration 162953) and a quick and easy emboss resist technique.

I can remember the first time I saw this technique and it seemed like magic to me. Our image has been stamped in VersaMark and heat embossed with the White Embossing Powder. Additional stamping has been added to the background and then ink has been brushed on top of that. A paper towel is then used to wipe off the ink on the dogwood image. Voila! the image reappears easily since the embossing powder resists any of the ink. So simple but wow! Can you remember seeing a technique that blew you away the first time you saw it? Simple things like this make stamping so much fun!

And these next card uses our lovely Pebbled Path and Fresh Freesia for the color pallet of the next card.

I don’t know about you but I fell in love with Pebbled Path the first time I saw it. Such a great color that is so versatile. The image has been die cut using our Deckled Rectangle Dies (159173) to add a bit of texture. The lovely Pebbled Path 3/8″ Textured Ribbon (161632) and Adhesive Backed Sparkle Gems (161288) add a bit of shine and elegance to the project.

So pretty and here in North Georgia the dogwoods dot our woodlands and landscapes during the spring. A reminder of renewal.

Another fun Jungle Pals Card Tutorial

Last week I shared a tutorial for a birthday card using the Sale-a-bration stamp set, Jungle Pals Stamp Set (Sale-a-bration 162950) and as I mentioned I’ll be sharing another with you today!

My daughter’s birthday is coming up and she loves allegators and crocodiles since she was a little girl, so I just this was the perfect set for a her birthday card this year! After all who can resist these fun little animals?

And while she is no longer the child who was dreaming of marrying the crocodile hunter one day, I still get photos of her with the crocks every time she goes to the zoo or aquarium.

Want to see the card?

This card uses the Shaded Spruce from the Regals Collection Designer Series Paper (161642). I’ve teamed it up with the sentiment from the Artistically Inked stamp set (154542) since I like the clean font it used. The Granny Apple Green Stampin Blends (154885) makes the little guy bright and cheerful I thought and was a nice contrast to the Shaded Spruce.

Want to see how I created this card? I’ve got a video tutorial and PDF for you today so you can make one too.
