Shoe box fun at the Blue Mountain Stampers’ Weekend Retreat

This past weekend was my 5th Annual Weekend Retreat – (wow it’s so hard to believe we’ve been doing this that long already!) This event is held each June so that we can gather and have fun playing with our new catalog goodies. It’s a laid back, full of stamping and laughter – just a great weekend of sharing and fellowship. I feel really blessed to have such a wonderful team.

There were a total of 8 of us this time and we had a lot of fun with a project Cindy has been wanting to try – Shrinky Dinks!

Several of the group had never played with Shrinky Dinks before, so you know what that means! Who doesn’t love watching them watch them curl up and shrink?

We also did a shoe box swap on Saturday, so I thought I would share the cards everyone made for it.

This first card is made with Pocket Full of Sunshine (143719) and the Pocket Framelits Dies (143750) that you can get in a bundle allowing you to save 10% (145345). I think it is a very fun set, perfect for those younger folks in our life.

And this next card uses the Daisy Delight stamp set (143669), Daisy Punch (143713) and the Wood Words stamp set (143925/143928). Can you guess where the scallop comes from?

It’s the Seasonal Layers Framelits Dies (143751).

The Oh So Eclectic Stamp Set (143937/143940) was used to create this lovely Powder Pink card.

And how about this great card made with the Daisy Delight Bundle (145361) and the sentiment from Swan Lake (142974/142977).

And the final card today, is a wonderful Masculine card made in rich bold colors using the Happy Birthday Thinlits Dies (143700). You are going to love the NEW 5/8″ Crinkled Seam Binding (144189) and

Pinewood Planks 3d Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (143708) since it creates a wonderfully deep, dimensional images!!!

Stop back by tomorrow when I’ll be sharing my shoe box and a FREE tutorial so you can make one too.
