Fun, Colorful Card using the Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper

I had my team meeting earlier this month and today I’m sharing a couple of the cards that were swapped. Each month my team creates and shares a project with each other, this is called a swap. They are lots of fun and we get to share what we are making.

This first swap uses the Designer Series Paper to create a fun colorful card.

The little letters have been cut from the Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper (161640) stack, do you see it on the top row?

And the fun colorful background on the card front is from the Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper (161192). It’s also been used to cover the envelope flap. Change up the letters and you can create all kinds of cards. Fun, right?

This second card uses the Paper Pumpkin Add On

This set of cards and envelopes is great with the Perched in a Tree Stamp set like this card uses or any nature geared stamp set or dies.

You’re going to love this set of cards with the 3 designs, and you can find these products in my Online Store. One of the things I love about being a Paper Pumpkin subscriber is that we have access to these fun Add-Ons that they off to coordinate with the kits.

?Peak Princess Fun & the Amazing Magnolia Lane Folding Album

Last weekend was my Peak Princess event. What’s that? Well it is a special afternoon of pampering for those Team members who have earned it. We enjoy the time together, food, played a game, and of course create a project.

This event was extra special since it was our largest group yet due to everyone’s hard work – and I added a bit of a luau theme to the snack table to celebrate.

The hit of the snack table was the Artichoke & Mushroom Toast – not really Hawaiian fair, but since the Hawaiian pizza rolls I was planning on were a flop when I tried them, this worked out well since everyone seem to enjoy them.

Here is the recipe if you want to try them yourself. I found them really easy to do and prepped everything the day before and then assembled before the event.

Artichoke & Mushroom Toast

Taste of Home

  • 36 slices French bread baguette (1/2 inch thick)
  • 3 T. Olive Oil, divided
  • ½ lb. sliced fresh mushrooms
  • ½ lb. sliced baby portobello mushrooms
  • ½ tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 2 T. butter
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 jar (7.5 oz) marinated quartered artichoke hearts, drained
  • 1/3 c. mayonnaise
  • 1 T. Parmesan cheese, shredded
  • 2 c. Swiss cheese, shredded

Place bread on baking sheets; brush with 2 tablespoons oil. Broil 4-6 inches from heat for 1-2 minutes or until lightly toasted.

In a large skillet, sauté mushrooms with Italian seasoning in butter and remaining oil until tender. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. Remove from heat and set aside.

Place artichokes in a food processor; cover and process until finely chopped. Add mayonnaise and Parmesan cheese; cover and process until blended. Spread over toast slices; top with mushrooms and sprinkle with Swiss cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees for 4-6 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Yield 3 dozen

And here is the classroom waiting for everyone to arrive.

I shared the little Country Home Kit Kat Holders which were everyone’s “pillow gifts” on the table with you yesterday – I thought the thankful greeting was perfect to express my thanks to my team.

We enjoyed a game after everyone settled in –

Have you ever played the Right, Left Game? It’s so simple…. everyone starts with a package and then we passed our packages to the right or left depending on the Ink Pad story I read.

Lot’s of fun and laughter to go around!

After we did a Make n Take and created these lovely Folding Albums. My friend, Marni gave me one of these little albums last spring in a swap and I loved it so much. I saved it since I knew it was the perfect project for the day. I simply put my own spin on it.

It wasn’t hard to choose the paper I wanted to use. The Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper is so striking and you’ve got a ton of pattern choices in the package. Here is what the album looks like opened.

I’m looking forward to filling it with some photos!

Here is the gang working on theirs

Want to see how I made this album? The Team enjoyed making them so much I thought you would too!

Amazing Magnolia Lane Folding Album Video Tutorial

Oh, I almost forgot the tag or chip board is simply the extra piece in our Specialty Designer Series Paper packs – How great is that? You can up cycle it!

So what do you think? Want to make one for yourself? I think they make great gifts and of course you could stamp on the inside diamonds if you prefer rather than use it as an photo album. I think there are endless ways to use this amazing album!

Here is a printable version with the complete supply list I used.

Blue Mountain Stampers’ Shoe Box Fun

Last week we I held our annual Blue Mountain Stampers’ Luncheon and along with it we had a Shoe Box Swap this year – so there was lots of stamping going on!

We began our Luncheon with a dish to pass – always yummy new recipes to try. I love “pot lucks” how about you?

The table was decorated – and everyone had a little gift bag waiting for them.

The bags were filled with a team coffee cup, note book I made, and a team pen.

We also celebrated lots of team accomplishments for the past quarter.

Want to see some of the Shoe Box Swaps we made?

These first two were created using the Love What You Love stamp set (148042) and coordinating Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper (148926)

And here are some cute tags we made using the Candy Cane Builder Punch (148011) and Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper (146921).

If you noticed the Whisper White 5/8″ Flax Ribbon that we used for the tags and wondering where you can find it. It’s from our  2019 Occasions Catalog and will be available in January.

And here is a cute gift card holder using the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set (142043) and coordinating Cookie Cutter Builder Punch (140396). Aren’t the little antlers cute? They were made with the Sprig Punch (148012) from the Holiday Catalog.

Do you recognize the sentiment? It’s from our Farmhouse Christmas Stamp set (148478).

And here is a simple but elegant card using the Stylish Christmas stamp set (146770/146773) and Softly Falling Embossing Folder (139672).

Of course, what could be better than swaps. So here are some of the swaps members brought starting with the 3ds treats filled with yummy goodies.

And finally a fancy fold card.

What a wonderful time we had that afternoon. I have such a wonderful team of stampers – each and everyone of them bring their own special talent to our group as you can see.

Here is our selfie from the afternoon. (I’m still getting use to my new selfie stick. LOL, can you tell?)

Sound like fun? Have you ever considered becoming a demonstrator? If so the Blue Mountain Stampers might be a great fit for you too.

Team fun

Last week my team and I gathered for our monthly team meeting. I really enjoy this time sharing and stamping together, so today I thought I’d share some of the team swaps with you. I also love seeing the projects that everyone chooses to make for their swaps – it’s always fun to see what they create and share!

This first item is a beautiful box made with the Cake Soiree Suite of products  – and since the Sweet Soiree Designer Series Specialty Paper (145564) is a bit heavier, it’s perfect for this kind of thing.

Beautiful, right? Deborah used the Cake Soiree Bundle (145816/147627) to create the tag. And color coordination was made easy since the suite includes a coordinating  Card stock Pack (145565) that contains 3 colors from the Designer Series Paper.

Love the ribbon? Berry Burst (145489) is one of my favorite In Colors and this ribbon with it’s silver edge is perfect for this bundle!

What’s it filled with? I’m sure some treats, Deborah is the best at finding unique treat items for us. (I haven’t cracked it open yet since my husband is home. LOL!)

And here is another treat item that Sue made using the Perennial Birthday stamp set (145757/145760).

It has two pockets that she has tucked a Dark Chocolate Blueberry  Ghiradelli square into – can’t wait to try them!

And how about this cute little note card?

Like the projects? I can’t pick a favorite. I’m so lucky to have this talented group who love crafting, sharing, and learning new things!

Are you looking for a group to craft with? Or have you ever thought about joining  Stampin’ Up! and getting a discount on your crafting supplies? Why not join my team, The Blue Mountain Stampers?

Team Time = Fun Time & more!

Team Time with my peeps is always one of the best parts of the month – we have such fun together sharing and stamping together. Yesterday, we held our monthly Team Meeting, so today I thought I’d share with you some of the wonderful projects that I’ve received during swaps from my team members.

This first card Deborah made using the Colorful Seasons Bundle (145348) of products.

And this card was made using the Mabel Me Pretty  Bundle (145304/145305)

A couple of cute little boxes using the Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper (144125)

And a bag using the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper (144610) and the Wood Words Stamp (143925/143928) set currently on sale during our World Card Making Day promotion.

And I love how our Multipurpose Adhesive sheets (144106) make this Birthday Thinlits Die (143700) so easy to use! This card has a soft watercolor feel to it since it was teamed up with our Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper (144137) that is part of our Buy 3 Get 1 FREE Designer Series Paper promotion.

This little square card was made using the Jar of Love (141587) and coordinating Everyday Jars Framelits Dies (141490) Isn’t it adorable?

Love Designer Series paper? How about decorating some note pads like Cindy did? I couldn’t pick a favorite – how about you? You can get your favorites this month during our Buy 3 Get 1 Free Designer Series paper promotion.

And here is the Lemon Zest stamp set (143805/142808) – we got to play with the Embossing Paste (141979) and even added color to it with a Rose Red reinker. How cool is that?

And finally here is a cute little post it note holder that Cindy made for everyone at the Peak Princess event using the Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper (144125). This stuff is great for a project like this since it is a bit heavier weight kraft paper.

Whew! Lot’s of great projects and inspiration shared – right?

Celebrating with Peak Princess Day

We also had a special event last month – it’s a day of pampering that I do twice a year, I call it my Peak Princess event – after all we are Blue Mountain Stampers. LOL! We had our largest group qualify this time – 8 in total.

I love to make special appetizers and treats for everyone to enjoy. So we always begin these events with some time enjoying some goodies and sharing.

And this time the Olive Bread was a huge hit! So I thought I’d share the recipe with you too. It’s really yummy – my guys were tickled they got some too! (Just a tip cut the bread evenly so the cheese doesn’t melt and slide down one side. This half was not the prettiest, but oh so good!)

Olive Cheese Bread

1 loaf French Bread

About 25 Mezzetta © Spanish Queen Pimento Stuffed Olives

6 oz. can of Black Olives, drained

2 stalks Green Onions (scallions)

1 stock Butter, room temperature

1/2 c. Mayonnaise

3 c. Monterey Jack Cheese, grated

Roughly chop both black olives and pimiento stuffed olives. Slice green onions into thin pieces. Combine butter mayonnaise, cheese, olives and green onions in a mixing bowl. Stir together until thoroughly combined.

Spread mixture thickly onto French bread that has been sliced lengthwise. Bake at 325 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until cheese is melted and browning.

Mixture can also be made in advanced and refrigerated for up to 2 days.

We also get to celebrate and recognize achievements with team gifts.

And we make projects too so everyone had a make ‘n take packet ready for them – after all we love stamping together!

Team Time & Swapping

Inspire, Share and Create – That’s what we do as a team once a month at our meetings when we get together. Today’s items that I’ll be sharing with you are swaps that were made by my fellow team members, a group of wonderful stampers! While we’ve all been stamping for different lengths of time it’s amazing how much we learn from each other! Oh, and did I mention we just have fun?

This first card is one that Mary made. It’s a peekaboo pullback card using the Watercolor Wings stamp set (139424) and Bold Butterfly Framelits Dies (138135).

Done in the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper (141663) and using just two colors – it’s quite striking.

How how about this card Cindy made using the Hey, Chick (Sale-a-bration item 143328/143331) and Greatest Greetings (140703/140706) stamp sets.

Cindy used the Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper (142778) and Woodgrain Embossing Folder (127821) to create a fun textured background for this little water colored image.

And how about some fun goodies too? Deborah made these fun little bags using the Oh, So Succulent Bundle (145184) and wrapped it all up with a bow!

If you haven’t felt the Succulent Garden 3/8″ Ribbon (142781) – it’s sooo soft and luxurious feeling. I wasn’t sure about this suite of products when I first saw them, but I’ve definitely added them to my wish list!

And finally a little file folder filled with a Ghiradelli chocolate. I love the soft colors of the Cupcakes & Carousel Designer Series Paper Stack (142744) Cindy teamed up with the the  Designer T stamp set (Sale -a-bration item 143356)  sentiment. Can you guess where the sentiment on the tab comes from?

Well it’s the Pretty Kitty stamp set (141861/141864). Of course, the cloud and little bird are from the Tree Builder Punch (138295). Fun right and who wouldn’t smile when they got this little treat? If you’d like to learn how to make these little treat folders you can click HERE to see my video tutorial.

Team Holiday Fun

Last week our Team, the Blue Mountain Stampers had it’s annual Christmas Party so I thought I’d share some of what we did with you.

This year our December meeting consisted of a luncheon, BINGO and of course stamping! Here are some pictures from the event.

BINGO was something new we tried as a team – I’m thinking it was a hit!

team-christas-party-playing-bingo-1 team-christas-party-playing-bingo-3

Everyone was a winner and got to choose goodies from the prize table, including items from the NEW 2017 Occasions Catalog!

Pinwheel Wishes Tutorial

Have you ever wondered what happens at one of my monthly Blue Mountain Stampers’ Meetings? Well I thought I would share with you one of the projects we made during my February TEAM meeting.

Pinwheel Wishes Card

I’ve had several of you ask me if I knew any tricks on how to make these cute little pinwheels using our NEW Pinwheel Sizzlits Die from the Spring Catalog. They are sooo stinking cute, but they are small so they can be a challenge to put together if you don’t know a few tricks.

Since I made about 100 of them for my Leadership swaps in January I had plenty of time to try out different methods of putting them together. Today I thought I’d share with you what method worked best for me so I put together a Tips for Quick & Easy Pinwheels Video Tutorial to show you what I learned.

Want to make one of your own Pinwheel Wishes card? Well you can, just click Here for a FREE PDF TUTORIAL with measurements and directions just for you. I hope you have as much fun making these cute little Pinwheels as I did.
