Farewell to Leadership 2014

The last day of Leadership 2014 in Houston came to a close Saturday afternoon – and it arrived too early for this stamper. I’ve truly enjoyed the time spent here in Houston learning new things, spending time with my roomie, and getting to know some of my fellow Demonstrators better. I’ve met folks from across the country and Canada – and we all speak the same language – the love of stamping. What fun!

The day flew by quickly –  morning session was filled with a laughter as we participated in our “game show”.

Brian Pilling was just too funny as he “hosted” the show, and of course Bonnie Thurber, whom was on the contestant panel,  was a hoot as the game became “competitive” trying to win for our teams. And who can forget Cori Hancock with her gigantic decorated mug! LOL

On to a special plated lunch one last time – how pampered I’ve felt these last few days. Stampin’ Up! makes these events extra special ones for us. Where else can you do what to love and pampered so?

The last general session included a final message from Shelli along with a surprise announcement of a NEW product we’ll be able to share with you soon – squeal and delight rippled through the crowd – (so stay tuned for more information coming your way soon.)

As we filtered out of the George R. Brown Convention Center I was tired but inspired and energized after a wonderful few days, but the day wasn’t done – since we still had the night to enjoy each other’s company and share time together before heading home on Sunday morning. (Pajama party anyone?)

Stop back by – Starting tomorrow I’ll be sharing some of the swaps I made to share and some that I received.

Chattanooga Regional Creative Challenge- What a Thrill

After a wonderfully energizing day at Regional that included meeting new stamping friends and seeing old ones,  swapping cards, learning new tips and ideas, prize patrol, great giveaways, and of course spending time stamping I was shocked and honored to learn that my Festive Fall Fun swap card was one of the 2 Creative Challenge winners chosen by the Stampin’ Up! staff to be featured as a  winner at the Chattanooga Regional.

I have to tell you I couldn’t believe it as my name was called and my card was shown on the two huge screens. Mine was just one of two cards chosen from the demonstrators there! My ears roared while my team encouraged me to get out of my seat and up onto the stage. And since Bonnie Thurber was describing the other persons’ card as mine while I approached the stage, the only thing going through my mind as my friends cheered me on was that the lovely Christmas card Bonnie was describing wasn’t mine.

I can’t tell you how thrilled I was to receive a hug and generous gift, a shopping spree, that was presented to me by the director of Demonstrator training, Bonnie Thurber. Even now I sit here looking at the delightful card they gave me and shake my head because it doesn’t seem real.  What a thrill it was to be chosen. And of course now I can order all those wonderful items on my wish list from the Holiday Catalog with my shopping spree! Yippee!

Would you like a chance to join in all the Stampin’ Up! fun? If you love to stamp why not join my team! You can click HERE for more details on the benefit of becoming a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator.

Are you asking how you can learn how you can learn this technique and make this card too? Now you can! I can teach you how in my Festive Fall Fun Stamp Camp. Why not sign up today and learn how to make this winning card along with the other fun projects at my upcoming October event, Festive Fall Fun Stamp Camp. I bet you’d like to see that lovely Christmas card I mentioned earler. I’m sorry to say I don’t remember the name of my fellow demonstrator who also received this honor and was with me up on stage since I was so stunned. If you do, let me know so I can give her credit for her card that she created with the Come to Bethlehem stamp set. Isn’t it lovely?
