Painted Harvest & more Team fun

Team time = a lot of fun. Each month we gather, share and stamp together at our Team Meeting. This month when we gathered we learned how to make a special treat that I’ll hope to be sharing with you soon, I just need to whip up a video for you. In the meantime I can share those projects that the Blue Mountain Stampers brought for swapping.

This first card uses one of my favorite sets, Painted Harvest (144783) – don’t you love the little hedge hog created with this 3 step stamp?

Teamed up with the Leaf Punch (144667) & Woodland Embossing Folder (139673) this card is sure to bring a smile.

And here are a couple of treats for fall. This first one is a super cute bat created with a couple of snack sized Kit Kat bars, card stock and circle punch.

And of course we can’t forget those cute googly eyes either!

And how about this sucker holder using the Harvest Hellos stamp set (150581) and it’s coordinating Apple Builder Punch (150663)? You can get these in a bundle and save 10% when you do.

And for some fall color – here is a card made with our Colorful Seasons stamp set (143726) and the Seasonal Layers Dies (143751).

Can you see the texture in the background created with our Subtle 3D Embossing Folder (151775)?

And finally, this fun card uses the It Starts with Art Art stamp set (149303) and Arts & Craft Dies (149580) found in the Follow Your Art Suite of products found in the 2019 Annual Catalog. So there are lots of options and you can get a 10% discount too!

I really love the combination of colors that Sue used for this card. And the card base also uses the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder (151775) – a great option for just a touch of texture when you need it.

If you would like to join the Blue Mountain Stampers and connect with a group of folks who love to craft AND get a discount on the products you love, joining us might be just the thing for you!

OnStage Swaps & More!!

I love to share projects with you and this week I’ll be sharing some of the swaps that I received while at OnStage in Orlando – It was a fantastic event with over 6,000 stampers and tons of ideas!

I’m going to start with this beautiful card using the At Home with You (143681) and Merry Christmas to You (147702) stamp sets. I hope the photo does it justice since it just shines and shimmers.

The holly images were stamped onto our Window Sheets (142314) in StazOn Jet Black Ink (101406/102566) and then layered onto our Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper to create this stunning effect. Simply beautiful.

This next card uses one of my favorite holiday sets from the Annual Catalog, Stylish Christmas (146770/146773).

This simply elegant card uses the Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack (146329) to wrap up the elegance.

And finally a card for fall using the Colorful Seasons stamp set (143726) and Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies (143751).

This card has a lot of great texture with the Woodland Embossing Folder (139673) in the background.

I’ve got some photos for you too! My first day in Orlando I was able to participate in my friend’s Sherrie’s shoe box swap. I have really come to enjoy this opportunity to stamp with friends over the years since my very first Leadership and was able to do 2 for the first time. So I spent an afternoon and evening stamping, and  having fun seeing new and old friends from all over the country.

Do you see me?

That’s me in the back under the arrow. LOL! And it was fun to have one of my team mates, Tracey join me again for this event.

The rest gathered with us for dinner that night. Our excitement high for the  start of the OnStage Live 30th Anniversary event.

Stop back by tomorrow when I’ll be sharing more from OnStage with you.

More Nature’s Poem

Yesterday I shared with you some cards made with the Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper that were created with the Rooted in Nature stamp set. Today’s cards all uses the Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper (146338) but other stamp sets instead. I love the fact that these patterns can be so versatile.

Check out today’s cards – These first two are made with the Animal Outing Stamp set (146597/146600)

This one is a fun telescoping card – so cute!

And this one uses the Varied Vases stamp set (146644). I love the way the Nature’s Twine has been pulled apart to create a lot of texture on this card.

And how about this one using the Colorful Seasons stamp set (143726) and Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies (143751).

I just love this Adirondack chair done in Blackberry Bliss.

We’ll I’m off and hoping it doesn’t rain tonight – I’m heading out to door in a few minutes to see my daughter’s first Half Time Show being presented for parents night. Sounds like she has a great group of students and can’t wait to see what the children have done the last two weeks during Band Camp. For those of you who have been stamping with me for years, you know we’re a marching band family and it’s been Kaitlin’s dream to be a High School Band Director. So it looks like High School Friday night football games are back on my calendar. LOL!

Versatile Tranquil Textures

The Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper (146331) is part of the Tranquil Textures Suite of products found on page 154 & 155 in the 2018 Annual Catalog and is designed to coordinate with our Sea of Textures stamp set. This suite is filled with wonderful products that coordinate, but the patterns in this package of Designer Series Paper is really quiet versatile for all kinds of projects.

Check out these wonderful cards using this pack of paper. While different sets are used for each one – they all use this paper.

This first card uses the Daisy Delight stamp set (143669) and coordinating Daisy Punch (143713).

And this next card uses the Bubble Over stamp set (145868). I love how the soda’s bubbles are mimicked in the paper.

And how about this card using the Colorful Seasons Stamp set (143726)?

And finally this adorable card using the Animal Outings stamp set (146597/146600) and the Night of Navy Medium Baker’s Twine (146336) that is part of the Tranquil Textures Suite.

The great thing about our Designer Series Paper is that is gives you the colors to work with. Simply choose your color pallet from the colors in the paper and voila! you have a pleasing color combination. All the work is done for you.

Count My Blessings

Now that the Holiday Catalog Retirement list has posted I thought I’d share some of the wonderful cards made with the sets on the list. These first projects are from my Team members, and this first card is perfect for how I’m feeling today. I was so grateful I was able to reach my feet this morning and put my shoes on for the first time in days! It’s the small things right?

Anyhow, this card uses the sentiment from the Count My Blessings stamp set (144787/144790) and the Colorful Seasons Bundle from the main catalog. Don’t you love the font? Cindy used the Baby Wipe technique to create the fall leaves along with some heat embossing for the sentiment.

I’m very grateful for my team and enjoy the time I get to spend with them. They have been such a wonderful part of my journey with Stampin’ Up! and have become wonderful friends over the years.

Here is a beautiful card made with the Pick a Pumpkin Bundle (144670) and a lovely little gift jar of chocolate chai.

This next project was made by Deborah and is filled with wonderful little goodies (that’s candy of course! Deborah is the best at finding new and unique items to fill her 3ds with.) The box is decorated with the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper (144613).

And how about this beautiful card using the same pack of paper?

I love the sentiment used from the Colorful Seasons Stamp Set (143726).

I was surprised to see the Christmas Quilt Bundle (16026) on the list of retired items. It’s such a great set for year round use – after all who doesn’t have fond memories of laying under a hand stitched quilt?

And how about this wonderful card using the Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper (144623) and Winter Wonderland Embossing Folder (144686)? I REALLY need to stock up on this paper since I have tons of projects left to make with it for my daughter!

Can you guess where the sentiment came from? It took me a bit, but it is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set (128748/127802).

And here is another card that uses the same pack of Designer Series Paper along with the Carols of Christmas Bundle (146036/146037).

And This cute little card uses the Santa Suit Bundle (144681)

Don’t forget for the best selection of products on the Retirement List you’ll want to shop early. Accessories always go fast and Bundles are considered in that group because of the Framelits and Thinlits Dies. The good new is stamp sets will be guaranteed available through December 21st. After that their while supplies last too.

Please let me know if you have any questions about the Retirement List & Year End Sale I know there is a lot going on and it can be kinda confusing.

Gourd Goodness & More

Here is Georgia we are reaping the benefits of a warm front, it’s in the mid 60s and they are expecting 70 for the high tomorrow so I’m not exactly feeling winter today. LOL!! So instead I thought I’d share with you some of the wonderful swaps I received during OnStage Live in Salt Lake.

This first card uses the Gourd Goodness stamp (144785) set found in the Holiday Catalog and the wonderful Burlap Background stamp (143979/143982).

I just love the feel of texture on this card – these two sets have lots of texture built right into them. And if you don’t already have the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set (128748/127802) it’s a must have, since it contains over 20 different sentiments!

These next two cards use the Vintage Leaves stamp set (138802)

White embossing has been teamed up with our Painted Harvest Designer Series Paper.

And how about this card – I just love the texture created with our Embossing Paste (141979) and the Pattern Party Decorative masks (144103).

I really like the white on white used for creating the textured background on this card.

And here is a fun one – the Leaflets Framelits Dies (138283) were used to create this lovely card using the Sheltering Tree stamp set (137163).

The die was used to create a cut out from a scrap piece of card stock which was laid on top of the Whisper White piece. Sponges were used to shade in the leaf and then the mask was removed and the tree was stamped. Striking.

And finally here is one that I recently cased for a class.

It uses the Sheet Music Background stamp, Colorful Seasons and sentiment is from the Count My Blessings stamp set from the Holiday Catalog on page 50. If you haven’t seen this set you might want to check it out.

Color Theory & More

Do you like our 6×6 Designer Series Paper Stacks? They are perfect for card making and with multiple sheets of each pattern you can make tons of projects too!

Today’s cards highlight two of our 6×6 Stacks that are part of the Buy 3 Get 1 FREE October Promotion. But you’ll want to hurry since the promotion ends on October 31st!

While these first cards highlight the Color Theory Designer Series Paper (144193) they use different stamp sets to create wonderful cards!

Bright, bold and colorful this first card uses the Daisy Delight stamp set (143669) and coordinating Daisy Punch (143713) that you can purchase in a money saving Bundle (145361). A fan favorite for sure!

And how about the paint swatch look? The Crafting Forever stamp set (143955/143958) is teamed up here with two of the patterns from the stack. Do you see the crackle pattern on the pot?  It is easy to create this paper piecing look by simply stamping the pot onto the Designer Series Paper and cutting it out.

And how about the Ribbon of Courage stamp set (143852/143855)? What a wonderful set that can be used in different colors depending on your need. The sentiments are wonderful and I just love the font used in them.

These last three cards use the Wood Textures 6×6 Designer Series Paper Stack (144177).

The At Home Bundle with You (145351) was used to create these fun welcoming doors and how about this wonderful chair from the Colorful Seasons Bundle (145348)?

It’s a wonderful stack since the pattern is the same on both sides making it perfect to create these little crates.

Team Time = Fun Time & more!

Team Time with my peeps is always one of the best parts of the month – we have such fun together sharing and stamping together. Yesterday, we held our monthly Team Meeting, so today I thought I’d share with you some of the wonderful projects that I’ve received during swaps from my team members.

This first card Deborah made using the Colorful Seasons Bundle (145348) of products.

And this card was made using the Mabel Me Pretty  Bundle (145304/145305)

A couple of cute little boxes using the Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper (144125)

And a bag using the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper (144610) and the Wood Words Stamp (143925/143928) set currently on sale during our World Card Making Day promotion.

And I love how our Multipurpose Adhesive sheets (144106) make this Birthday Thinlits Die (143700) so easy to use! This card has a soft watercolor feel to it since it was teamed up with our Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper (144137) that is part of our Buy 3 Get 1 FREE Designer Series Paper promotion.

This little square card was made using the Jar of Love (141587) and coordinating Everyday Jars Framelits Dies (141490) Isn’t it adorable?

Love Designer Series paper? How about decorating some note pads like Cindy did? I couldn’t pick a favorite – how about you? You can get your favorites this month during our Buy 3 Get 1 Free Designer Series paper promotion.

And here is the Lemon Zest stamp set (143805/142808) – we got to play with the Embossing Paste (141979) and even added color to it with a Rose Red reinker. How cool is that?

And finally here is a cute little post it note holder that Cindy made for everyone at the Peak Princess event using the Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper (144125). This stuff is great for a project like this since it is a bit heavier weight kraft paper.

Whew! Lot’s of great projects and inspiration shared – right?

Celebrating with Peak Princess Day

We also had a special event last month – it’s a day of pampering that I do twice a year, I call it my Peak Princess event – after all we are Blue Mountain Stampers. LOL! We had our largest group qualify this time – 8 in total.

I love to make special appetizers and treats for everyone to enjoy. So we always begin these events with some time enjoying some goodies and sharing.

And this time the Olive Bread was a huge hit! So I thought I’d share the recipe with you too. It’s really yummy – my guys were tickled they got some too! (Just a tip cut the bread evenly so the cheese doesn’t melt and slide down one side. This half was not the prettiest, but oh so good!)

Olive Cheese Bread

1 loaf French Bread

About 25 Mezzetta © Spanish Queen Pimento Stuffed Olives

6 oz. can of Black Olives, drained

2 stalks Green Onions (scallions)

1 stock Butter, room temperature

1/2 c. Mayonnaise

3 c. Monterey Jack Cheese, grated

Roughly chop both black olives and pimiento stuffed olives. Slice green onions into thin pieces. Combine butter mayonnaise, cheese, olives and green onions in a mixing bowl. Stir together until thoroughly combined.

Spread mixture thickly onto French bread that has been sliced lengthwise. Bake at 325 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until cheese is melted and browning.

Mixture can also be made in advanced and refrigerated for up to 2 days.

We also get to celebrate and recognize achievements with team gifts.

And we make projects too so everyone had a make ‘n take packet ready for them – after all we love stamping together!

The fall leaves will be falling turning and falling soon, but mean while I’m going to enjoy one last hurrah in the pool since the rain is suppose to clear out and we should have a beautiful holiday on Monday with the kids.

Today’s card is one I made using a fun Clear Block Technique with Stampin’ Spritzers. Check out my Tutorial for it below.
