Yippie! More Convention Swaps

Now for some more of my Convention swaps – I know you’ve been waiting to see them, right?

This first one uses the bicycle image from the Postage Due (item 132064/126397) and Secret Garden (item131940/129144). I love the way that Patricia used the Vintage Trinkets (item 118764) for the center of the wheels and the score board and Scallop Edge Border Punch (item 119882) to create the fence.

This next card uses our yummy 2013 In Colors and the Label Love (item 130619/130297) and Happy Day (item 130294/130297) stamp sets along with our NEW Artisan Label Punch (item 130920).

Happy Day

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July. I spent a quiet day here in Clarkesville with the family watching the rain come down. It was a rather wet and soggy day for us. One of those days you just want to curl up with a good book or hang out in your stamping space – lol.

Want a quick and easy card? Try the NEW stamp set Happy Day (item 130294/130297). The images are lovely and the greetings fun and bold. The set coordinates beautifully with the Eastern Elegance Designer Series Paper (item 130131) found on page 154 in the Catalog.

Don’t you love the colors in this Designer Series Paper? It was hard to choose which ones I would use to stamp with but I finally decided on the Coastal Cabana and Smoky Slate, two of our NEW colors that were just introduced in June.

I used one of my sharpies to color the Rhinestone accents on this card. I’d recently come across a 80’s set in my local big box store that I had picked up and found that a lot of them are working well with the Color Refresh Colors. How cool is that?

Are you wondering how I cut the top of this card? I call it my roofline cut – that is since I don’t know what else to call it and it sort of looks like a roof to me. Making this cut was quick and simple with my Stampin’ Trimmer. Want to see how I created this shape? I made a quick video to show you.
