Holiday Catalog Kick Off Gather Together Make n Take

It finally feels a little bit like fall here in North Georgia with some cooler temperatures, while it is still in the 80s there’s a hint of cooler weather coming our way. And after spending the evening last night with my daughter and her band, watching them and the other county’s High School bands perform their half time shows it feels more like fall to me too.

Check out this fun fall card that we make using the Come to Gather Suite of products found in the Holiday Catalog.

This suite is filled with those colors that make us think of fall and I’m loving the Come to Gather Ribbon Combo Pack with it’s rich satin edge ribbon and linen thread – perfect for a range of products.

Today’s card uses the Brick & Motar 3d Embossing Folder to create some texture and interest in the background. Our embossing folders are perfect for this and make it quick and easy too.

Want to see how this card comes together? Check out my video tutorial and of course a printable PDF too.

Amazing Colored Glass

This past Sunday I held my Holiday Catalog Premiere – I love these events since they give me a chance to pamper you, my customers. After all I couldn’t do and share what I love without you! So I thought I’d share some of the projects for those of you who were not able to attend.

Here is a picture of the snack table. (I’m sorry to say I forgot to take pictures of everyone though out the event since we were having such a good time – But luckily I did take some before everyone got here. LOL)

Holiday Catalog Premiere food table

Today’s project is one that I made to decorate the snack table. I came across some fall flowers while out and about one day and couldn’t resist them. Don’t you love the Blackberry Bliss mums?

fall flowers

When I got them home I realized I wanted to make a vase that would pull out the Blackberry Bliss color in the arrangement. Purple has always been a favorite of mine and I just love our new In Color!  So here is what I came up with.

Amazing Colored Glass

So what do you think? I just love the little Autumn Wooden Elements (135846) from the Holiday Catalog that I dangled down the front of the vase. I’m finding all kinds of uses for them! (They aren’t available yet but you can begin ordering from the Holiday Catalog Thursday, August 28th)

Want to know how I added the color to this vase?  Well you’re in luck I’ve made a video tutorial just for you – I’ve named this project Amazing Colored Glass! since I think it is amazing what we can do with our paper crafting supplies –  hope you enjoy it.

Here you go…. my Amazing Colored Glass Video Tutorial

Just a few tips I forgot to mention while taping.

First, you’ll want to let your vase dry really well – it may take a few days depending on how thick your color layer is.

Second, your color layer can scratch. So if your doing a vase like this, you may want to loosly line the inside with tissue paper before adding your flowers, etc.

So what do you think? Why not leave me a comment and let me know?

I’ll be sharing more about the Holiday Catalog Premiere tomorrow so stop back by then. And If you weren’t able to pick up your copy of our NEW Holiday Catalog during my Catalog Premiere I’ll be happy to send one to you. Just contact me and include your name, address, phone number and email address and I’ll be happy to mail one to you.

P.S…. If you are a current customer of mine (which means you’ve ordered from me in the last 60 days) yours is on the way to you!

News from the Holiday Catalog Premiere Party

Yesterday I held my Holiday Catalog Premiere Party – I always enjoy these events and sharing with you. I really appreciate you, my customers. You are the ones who allow me to share my love of stamping with you and I couldn’t do it without you!

I thought those of you who were not able to make it might enjoy seeing some pictures. So this first photo is the display table. The one side held all the goodies from the Holiday Catalog so that you could look, touch, and feel just how great the new products are. Isn’t it always better to see it in person? And the other side held my upcoming class samples.

This second photo is one of the goodie table. Can you believe I remembered to take a picture before everyone dug in – LOLl!

Holiday Catalog Premiere Party food table

We enjoyed some Christmas cookies, warm carmel apple cider, and hot cocoa cupcakes. Considering it was almost 80 here in Clarkesville that seemed a bit odd – So I felt really special that my stamping friends chose to spend a beautiful fall afternoon with me stamping.

Holiday Catalog Premiere Party cocoa cupcakes (3)

I just love the way these cute little cupcakes turned out – I found this idea on Pinterest and thought it was just too stinking cute.

Holiday Catalog Premiere Party cocoa cupcakes (1)

The candy cane makes the little handle of the mug. And since it seems I’m hooked on cupcakes this year and filling this cupcake stand I found while bumming earlier this year, they seemed perfect for the occasion.

This final photo is one of the group stamping. Everyone stamped two different projects. One to take with them and then one for the Caring with Cards Program – afterwards they chose which charity they wanted their card to go. They could choose from four – Hospice, Holiday for Heroes, Operation Write Home and the Ronald McDonald House.

The second project which I’ll share with you later this week was a Christmas card that I created using Warmth & Wonder, one of our Hostess Sets from the Holiday Catalog. I thought it would be fun to use one of the Hostess sets since during the month of October Hostesses can earn an extra $25 in FREE merchandise for just holding a qualifying party! Click HERE for more information about our special promotions this month.

I originally planned to post the little gift that I gave everyone in today’s post that included the tutorial. But unfortunately Windstream had different ideas (curse, latency issues – they make uploading my videos difficult some days.)

So stop back tomorrow and I’ll share the project with you then.
