Guy Greetings & More

Today I wanted to share some of the swaps that I made in Sherrie’s Shoe box swap at OnStage. I enjoy this event and stamping with demonstrators from all over North America. It’s face paced, and fun since we swap 40 cards in 3 hours!

Today’s cards use stamp sets and other products that are all part of the Last Chance List and will be retiring in May. I’m really sad to see this first set, Guy Greetings (138825/138828) go. I love using it for those guys in my life.

It has a fun fold too.

I love the colors we used for this card – It uses our True Gentlemen Designer Series Paper (145593), Night of Navy 3/8″ Corduroy Ribbon (145597) and Tranquil Tide 1/2″ Finely Woven Ribbon too (144136). Rich bold and perfect for those dudes in our life.

And here is a fun card that has no stamping on it – Our Big Shot Celebration Duo Embossing Folders (142760) and Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies (137547) were used to create the bright bold card.

And how about this soft and subtle card a mask and sponging create this lovely focal point.

The final stamping was done in our Archival Basic Black Ink (140931) using our Thoughts & Prayers (128751/127805) and Touches of Texture (1419341/143251) stamp sets.

This next card uses the You’ve Got This stamp set (139572/139575) and it is done with our Watercolor Pencils and teamed up with our Fresh Floral Designer Series Paper Stack (144131).

And finally this bright bold card using the Pansy Punch (130698) and coordinating stamp set, Birthday Blossoms (139167/139471).

The sentiment is from our Picture Perfect (145519) set and the color palette is pulled from the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper (144185). Can you see the stripes created with the Simple Stripes Embossing Folder (145648) on the Lemon Lime Twist background?

Our Last Chance List promotion is currently in full swing, so why not stop by my online store and see what items are going away at the end of May?

Stop back by tomorrow when I’ll be sharing a fun nugget treat video tutorial I made for my 3d swaps at OnStage.

Oh, What Fun Mini Treat Bag

This quick and easy back is great for a quick little gift for neighbors and friends. It will hold those small items, gift cards, or a bit of chocolate and since it is made with our Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies (137547). And  it’s so easy to make at least 24 of these with just one package of our Designer Series Paper!

Oh What Fun Mini Treat Bag

Super cute and already includes your gift tag! Just watch which way you place your dies onto your Designer Series Paper when you run them through the Big Shot so that the pattern is going the same directions. (Ask me how I know LOL!)

How’d I make the tags? Well, I used the Oh, What Fun stamp set (140386) and stamped it twice once using Cherry Cobbler for the main image and then again on Smoky Slate in Mossy Meadow for the fussy cut banner. I love our Banner Triple Punch because it makes these banners easy and they look great every time! A great addition to your stamping supplies.

Finally a little Clothes Pin and a scrap of Designer Series Paper and your done – quick and easy!

Check out my complete supply list below and then stop back by tomorrow for a quick and easy last minute gift card holder!

Just 6 days to Valentine’s Day – are you ready?

Can you believe Valentine’s Day is just 6 days from today? I frosted some sugar cookies I made on Sunday to get me in the spirit. Of course, to save me from too much temptation I sent a batch back to college with my daughter!

If you need some last minute inspiration for your Valentine I’ve got some great swaps to share with you today!

These first three project use the Hey, Valentine stamp set (137135/138570) from the Occasions Catalog and they are very different.

Hey Valentine (1) Hey Valentine (2)

This 3d is made using our Mini Treat Bag Thinlit Die (137547) and can you guess what I filled it with?

Hey Valentine Mini Treat Bag

I found these cute little Reeces  Cups, when you open them they actually have a love note on the cup! How cool is that? You won’t believe how much this little treat bag holds.

And these next cards use our Sweetheart Punch (133786) that is currently on our Weekly Deals – but hurry if you want this punch at a great deal they offer ends tonight at Midnight!

In addition to the Sweetheart Punch this first card uses the You Plus Me stamp set (137133/138594) and the Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper stack (137779). And great news if you love them both you can order them in a money saving bundle (138879/138880).

And this fun card has a pop up heart

Groovy Love

It uses the fun Groovy Love stamp set (134243/134246), you’ll find this fun set in the 2014 Annual Catalog and is great for all kinds of occasions.

Groovy Love Close up

And this next card not only uses the Sweetheart Punch but the NEW Bow Builder Punch (137414) and the Kinda Eclectic stamp set (135347/135350) .

Kinda Eclectic

And my final card that I’ll be sharing with you uses the latest Paper Pumpkin kit from January along with the Work of Art set (134111/134114). Blue Mountain Stampers’ Winter Weekend Shoebox Swaps

Today I thought I would share with you some of the swaps the others brought for our Saturday’s Shoebox Swap. There is a wide variety of projects – it was funny since a lot of us chose to do 3-d for a change.

This first project is Janette’s – It hold a note pad and uses the Groovy Love stamp set (134243/134246) along with the Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack (137779) and our Basic Hodgepodge Clips (133765)

And here is Anna’s shoebox it’s a cute little Mini Treat Bag (137547) that we made using the Lullaby Designer Series Paper (133695). So simple and a great new addition to our thinlits dies!

The only word of caution when creating these bags with designer series paper – pay attention to the direction the pattern is going….ask me how I know. LOL

And now for some cards…

Butterfly Thinlits Blue Mountain Stampers Winter Weekend Retreat Shoebox swap (1)

This first card is soft and femine and uses the Butterfly Thinlits Dies (137360) along with the Artisan Embellishment Kit (137909) and a couple of FREE items from the Sale-a-bration brochure – the Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper (138633) and the sentiment is from the Simply Wonderful stamp set (139125/139128).

Janie used her left over wax paper pieces from a different project to create this wispy feel the butterfly has. Can you see it?

And this last card is Kathleen’s contribution to the shoebox swap. It is made with the Moonlake stamp set (137149/138540) and the Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper (137783).

Moonlake Blue Mountain Stampers Winter Weekend Retreat Shoebox swap (3)

I’ve added a piece of White Vellum card stock (101856) over the top of the to soften the look of this designer series paper since the pattern was so bold. It quickly solved Kathleen’s problem since she wasn’t completely happy with the card originally for some reason. (One of the great parts of the retreat is sharing creative solutions and ideas! You know how sometimes you’re just not happy with your card? Well Kathleen was experiencing this Friday night when she stamped her swap and just couldn’t figure out why she wasn’t happy – no OCS here, right? LOL I’ve got it too so I know how she was feeling!).

Have you signed up yet?
