Next Destination

It’s summer and that means travel and seeing new things. The Next Destination stamp set (161427) celebrates that and more.

Filled with wonderful images of travel and sentiments that not only celebrate a trip but also new beginnings like graduation and retirement. Check out this lovely card that uses “punch art” to create an airplane.

I love the way the Iridescent Pastel Gems (160429) have been used along with the Stylish Shapes Dies (159183) for the little plane and Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder (154317) adds a bit of texture to the background after stamping the image in Memento Tuxedo Black (132708/133456). The little “ticket” shape that has been used for the sentiment is from the Cheerful Daisies Dies (161296).

Don’t you love the different ways we can use our dies?

Stop back by tomorrow when I’ll be sharing another card that uses this fun stamp set!

Lovely Timeless Tulips

I really enjoy using the Timeless Tulip stamp set and it’s coordinating punch. I’ve shared some card tutorials with you using this bundle and today I’m going to share a few more cards with you that I received in a swap.

These first two cards use just the stamp set and 2 step stamping.

The Garden Lane Designer Series Paper (149488) was used on this first card to give a bit of texture and interest. And this second card done in Melon Mambo uses the sentiment from the Very Versailles stamp set (149275) found in the Annual Catalog to create an elegant feel.

It’s a fun fold that opens a bit differently too.

This next card is a 3d Pop Up Card that folds flat for mailing. I love the look, reminds me of a planter filled with tulips.

And finally some punch art, this card uses just the Tulip Builder Punch and our Pigment Sprinkles (149663) to create this fun colorful octopus. I hope you can see all the depth that has been created simply by using the punch and some Stampin’ Dimensionals.

How fun is that? Simply punch in different widths for the octopus’ tentacles and use the leaves for waves under the little guy. I just love it!

So which is your favorite? Why not leave me a comment and let me know what you think?

Then stop back by next week when I’ll be sharing some of my card tutorials with you.

Turkeys, Elves & Snowflakes…. Oh my

I LOVE the gift items we can make with our stamps and paper and so today I thought I’d share with you some of the cute little items I received in a swap I organized for OnStage in Orlando.

I’m starting with this adorable Turkey – such a clever idea using the Christmas Bulb Builder Punch (148013) and some simple circles.

He holds a little Peppermint Pattie – so simply add a name to his tummy and you’ve got a perfect table setting piece for this Thursday.

And here is another treat made with the Making Christmas Bright stamp set (148046).

Open it and you’ll get a wonderful surprise – Yumm I’ve got to go looking for some of these chocolates myself it was so yummy!

And this cute little box using the Santa’s Workshop suite of products holds some Ghirardelli chocolates.

And this snowflake beautiful box was created with the cool colors of winter – done in Bermuda Bay and Pool Party the box has been brayered with color and spritzed with some Frost White Shimmer Mist. Pops of Silver Foil Paper and some Silver Mini Sequin Trim finish off the elegant look.

The sentiment is from the Farmhouse Christmas stamp set (148478).

And here is another treat made with this same sentiment – it’s a great size for all kinds of projects!

This treat was created using the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper (147820) and a cello bag that holds some Hershey’s Nuggets.

And finally a little top hat treat

I love the simplicity of this little top hat filled with Kisses. I immediately thought of Frosty the Snowman. LOL

I can’t wait to try some of these treat ideas myself – as I do I’ll be sure to share how I created them myself!

I’ve been doing swaps for years with some of these ladies, but this is the first time I’ve done one in person so it was wonderful meeting each other after years of emails and packages. They are just one of the many blessings stamping and being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator has brought into my life.

OnStage CentreStage – Epcot

Stampin’ Up! events are special and because of you all I was able to get a special invitation to CentreStage & Epcot.

I was so excited to be able to qualify for this event for a number of reasons – one of which I’ve never been to Disney in Orlando! Another making making memories, meeting new friends, and see old ones.

Here’s a new friend, Linda Baker, we met on the bus ride over and decided to join forces for the day with Tracey who was meeting me there.

After a full after noon at Epcot’s Wine & Food Festival our CentreStage event included a wonderful evening of deserts & karaoke.

The fried donuts with fresh vanilla bean ice cream were fantastic!

The evening ended with the fireworks display – I was even able to catch a selfie with Sheli and Sarah towards the end of the event!

And of course our first glimpse of the NEW 2019 Occasions Catalog! Squeel!

Thank you again for helping me reach my goals and be able to qualify for this event – I couldn’t do it without you my stamping friends and team!

OnLine Extravaganza starts Friday November 23rd – and You’re going to LOVE it!!!

I’ll be posting more details on the 22nd for you until then safe travels

Here comes Peter Cotton Tail….

Ducks, chicks and bunnies always make me think of Easter since my mother use to take us to the Bayshore Mall in the spring to see the eggs hatch, in a really big egg at the mall – over the weeks you could visit and watch the little beaks breaking through the shells to magically appear. It fascinated me every year. So what could be better than a cute little punch art bunny for this project?

I wanted to be able to create them they could be done for both the boys and girls in the family – so here is what I did.

I love that by simply placing the bow in a different location you have a different look – Peter

or Flopsy?

It’s your choice. My kids loved the story of Peter Rabbit growing up! And now I’ve got the song running through my head. LOL! Since it is supposed to be 78 for the high today and it feels like spring, can you blame me?

Notice the sentiment? It’s from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set – a wonderful sentiment set to start with since it has sentiments for all occasions!

Here is a chart for building your bunnies.

Hip Notes Get Well

Recently my nephew broke his leg and I want to send him a card that will bring a smile to his face. It seems like he just can’t catch a break, (no pun intended). Newly married and with a baby on the way, being out of work for 3 months it tough.

So this weekend the first card I created was one for Kevin.

Hip Notes Get Well

I wasn’t sure where to start and I was thinking about a cast, but then I ran across the Hip Notes stamp set (133501/133504) from the Occasions Catalog on page 18. For some reason this sentiment just made me chuckle when I saw it, and I knew the kid would get the sense of humor of the sentiment. Of course the pattern from the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper (FREE Sale-a-bration item) reminded me of a hospital gown somehow. See it? Well maybe it was the late night and wine?

Anyhow so what do you think of the card? Think it will bring a smile to his face? Why not leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Supplies:

Stamp Set: Hip Notes (133501/133504)

Inks: Jet Black StazOn (101406), Summer Starfruit (126991), and Blushing Bride (131172)

Paper: Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper (Sale-a-bration item 133521), Blushing Bride (131198), Summer Starfruit (126839), Basic Black (121045), and Whisper White (100730)

Accessories: Decorative Dots Embossing Folder (Sale-a-bration item 133520), 3/16″ Corner Rounder (119871), Artisan Label Punch (130920), 1 1/4″ Scallop Circle Punch (127811), and Summer Starfruit 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon (126846)

Halloween Flip Card

I love our new Thinlits Card Dies and today I wanted to share with you the Halloween card I made for my Team swap last Thursday. Here is the outside.

Halloween Flip Card (1)

And here is the flip side – taking a picture was a bit more challenging with this card – so I hope it shows it well enough.

Halloween Flip Card (2)

My Halloween Flip card uses our NEW Circle Card Thinlits Die (133480). It makes this card sooo easy to create. And Flip or swing cards as they are known while a lot of fun, were more difficult to make the old way, before these dies.

There are two Thinlits Dies available The Circle Thinklits Die (133480) that I used here, and the Label Card Thinklits Die (133479). Check out all the great additional pieces you get too.

Label Card Thinlits Die image Circle Card Thinlits Die image

I based this card on a Halloween Punch Art card that I shared with you earlier HERE. Since I loved the silhouette image I knew that was where I wanted to start. But I simplified it so that the flip card was highlighted too. What do you think?

One of my favorite things about stamping is the camaraderie of stamping with friends. When we moved to Clarkesville in 2006 I wanted to find things local and became very frustrated with the fact that I couldn’t find what I wanted. The long drive to the mall quickly became frustrating when I returned home to find the items I purchased didn’t work with my project I wanted to do.  So I turned to my Stampin’ Up! Catalog that I received during a stamp-a-stack event that I went to with my friend Michelle. And so my journey began – with all the products coordinating so well and the wonderful friends I made stamping I quickly found my crafting became a lot more fun.

How about you? Have you ever thought about becoming a Demonstrator? Would you enjoy stamping and learning more about stamping? Why not check out my Calendar of Events or learn more about joining my TEAM, The Blue Mountain Stampers? Whether you want to earn the 20% discount on your paper crafting supplies or earn a little extra income I think you’ll enjoy the Stampin’ Up! experience too.

Halloween Punch Art

Yesterday I saw the first yellow leaves fluttering by my window – the first sign of fall being right around the corner. For some reason that just hasn’t registered with me yet – I know the calendar says it’s Labor Day weekend, but with all the rain and cool weather we’ve had this summer it just doesn’t feel like it to me.

Did you know that there are only 62 days left until Halloween? There are no costumes that I have to sew or parties to plan since our children are older but I still enjoy sending cards and making up some goodies to hand out. So today I wanted to share with you this fancy fold Halloween Punch Art card. I love the clean and simple silhouette images of this card.
