Rooted in Nature

We are all trying to get out a bit more and spend a little more time with the great outdoors so today I thought I’d share some cards made with the Rooted in Nature stamps and Nature’s Root Dies. This bundle is super for year round cards, masculine cards and more since it is filled with some wonderful sentiments.

This first card is done in Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive.

It also uses the Woodland Embossing Folder (152881) to create some texture along with the Braided Linen Trim (147808).

This next card uses the same Braided Linen trim but this time teams it up with some layering.

First the leaves are stamped in Mint Macaron Classic Ink. Then slice of tree is stamped in Soft Suede and is fussy cut with Paper Snips. A little sponging along the edges not only adds depth but also helps hide the edges. It’s popped up along with the top set of leaves. And of course, one of my favorite punches is used for the sentiment. The Triple Banner Punch (138292) is one that I reach for over and over again, so it is a great addition to your collection.

And here is a great monochromatic card – a classic color choice of black and white never fails to impress.

A little sparkle is added with our Glittered Organdy Ribbon (147897).

And finally this last card is packed with a lot of texture.

It uses our Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder (152320) along with the oak tree image which has been colored with our Crumb Cake and Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Markers for a cool effect.

So what do you think? Does it inspire you? Why not leave me a comment and let me know?

Supplies:

Stamp Set: Rooted in Nature (146482)

Accessories: Nature’s Roots Dies (151786), Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder (152320) and Woodland Embossing Folder (152881)

Itty Bitty Greetings for Father’s Day

Do you love a stamp set that gives you all kinds of options – It’s why I love the 3 different Itty Bitty sets that we have. They give you lots of options and take you through the year!

As an added bonus a lot of these sentiments fit in our Classic Label Punch (141491) which makes it a great set for those who might be newer to stamping or worry about stamping the sentiment straight. You can’t go wrong with stamping and then punching it out!

Check out this lovely card made using the Rooted in Nature stamp set (148217) and a quick and easy Stampin’ Write Marker Technique called thumping.

Hows it done? The stamp was colored first with the Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Marker on the trunk and then with the Old Olive Stampin’ Write Marker for the canopy. After that the Garden Green Stampin’ Write Marker was thumped or bounced randomly around the canopy to add the second color. When you have all the coloring done you breath on it to re-moisten the ink and then stamp as desired. So easy, but a really cool look, don’t you think?

Our Stampin’ Write Markers come in all 4 Color Collections and can be purchased separately or in a marvelous case option with all 40 Colors from our 4 Color Families. So you can get them all or build your collection over time, the choice is yours!

I really like the stamp set Rooted in Nature for masculine cards so here are a couple more cards using the set.

And if you love dies, there is a coordinating set called Nature’s Roots (151786) that you can get too. This next card teams up the set with our very popular In Good Taste Designer Series Paper (152494) that is filled with wood images and the Just Jade 2020-2022 In Color.

Supplies:

Stamp Set: Rooted in Nature (148217) and Itty Bitty Greetings (151331)

Inks: Soft Sea Foam Classic Ink (147102/147166), Regals Stampin’ Write Markers (147155) and Neutral Stampin’ Write Markers (147158)

Paper: Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper (152492), Soft Sea Foam (146988), Garden Green (102584), and Whisper White Card stock (100730)

Accessories: Classic Label Punch (141491), Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon (144213) and Stampin’ Sponges (141337)

OnStage Display Boards & More

It’s Thanksgiving today which means a variety of actives for us – so today’s post will be a quick one that is filled with lots of photos for you.

As I sit here thinking about the past year and everything that I am thankful for in my life I must include YOU, my stamping friends. So THANK YOU for all your friendship and support over the past year. I appreciate it more than I can say. Thank You for your patience as I’ve recovered from my ruptured disks and have grappled with my inability to do my normal every day things. Thank YOU for making my life richer, fuller and happier – YOU will be one of the blessings I will be counting today. And of course Thank you for allowing me to share my passion for stamping with you!

So on to some photos to inspire us – one of my favorite parts of OnStage is the sharing of our stamping ideas so there are tons of inspiration! Here are just a few of the boards.

These first two cards use the Celebrate You Thinlits Dies (146840). Our Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets (144106) make these dies so quick and easy to use!

And finally this card was made with our Host Set, Hand Delivered (146808) I love the way the Happy Birthday Thinlits (143700) and the eclipse technique were used.

Rooted in Nature Faux Silk Tutorial

I started this project a while back and got side tracked. Does that ever happen to you? That being said, I’m not admitting to my stack of half finished projects  anything. LOL!

Well the good news is I finally finished it and love the way it turned out so I wanted to share it with you today.

What do you think? Can you see your favorite autumn photo in it? The color is a bit late here in this neck of the state so I haven’t gotten many pictures yet, but hope too still if the rain doesn’t wash things out.

This frame looks like it took along time and is complicated, but really isn’t difficult to do with a few basic supplies. The frame itself is one of those inexpensive $1 frames you can find at your local Walmart or craft store.

Here is a video tutorial for you showing you how I made it. This video is a bit longer than I normally do so I hope you enjoy it.

And here is a companion PDF tutorial for you with a complete supply list that includes step by step directions on how I made the focal point.

#imbringingbirthdaysback with the Rooted in Nature Stamp Set

Today’s card is the one I designed for my November Birthday cards that I’ll be sending out today. This birthday card uses a fun technique that is one of my favorites to create fall colored leaves. It is called the Baby Wipe Technique.

This card layout is also one of my favorites since it is clean and simple but still packs a wow. And with the Baby Wipe Technique everyone will wonder how you created leaves with fall color too.

I’ve whipped up a quick tutorial so you can recreate the Baby Wipe Technique for your projects!

More Rooted in Nature

Rooted in Nature is just a wonderful set to work with since it contains images that can be used year round and of course it’s perfect for fall too! Today’s cards all use this set, but have very different looks which is why I love this suite of products so much.

Check out this first card that uses our Copper Foil Paper to create a beautiful foil accent to the embossed leaves.

I love the fact that this Bundle not only uses Framelits, but also our new Embossing Dies that allow you to add texture too.

This next card uses the Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper as it’s back drop for the tree ring.

And how about this one that uses Mint Macaron, Tranquil Tide and Blackberry Bliss to highlight the sentiment  from the set. A simple design but quite lovely.

And while this next card teams up the images with out Wood Textures Designer Series Paper (144177) it’s a great combination too.

This Blackberry Bliss and Crumb Cake color combo is striking.  And if you don’t already have some, you’re going to love the Nature’s Twine (146342) since it gives you 4 wonderful colors to choose from for your projects.

And finally this Monochromatic  card done in Lovely Lipstick – these type of cards are a great way for stampers to start building their supplies since you only have to have one color, but they are quite striking.

Have a favorite? Why not leave me a comment and let me know which design you like?
