Perennial Lavender Suite

Lavender. The sweet smell and calming feel that comes with it as you breath it in. Stampin’ Up! has given us a wonderful Suite of products highlighting this wonderful plant that is filled with a variety of images.

And the sentiments found in the Perennial Postage Bundle (162608) are wonderful for our upcoming Mother’s Day and needs through out the year. Check out this lovely card sending a virtual hug in the mail that uses simple stamping.

Want to step it up a bit? How about some dies and embossing folders like this next card uses?

The Perennial Postage Dies (162607) and Basic 3D Embossing Folders (Online Exclusives 1611598) have been used along with the Painted Lavender Bundle (162597) create a card that is filled with texture. And finally a fun fold with a quick and simple technique.

Our Clear block has been used to create this water colored wash block of color behind the lavender. And this technique is so easy to do. Simply ink up your block first with the lighter color, in this case Fresh Freesia and then add a darker shade like Gorgeous Grape to the one half use our Stampin Spritzer (126185) filled with water to spray it and allow to blend, then stamp. Voila! a great look, right?

Quick and simple techniques like this are a lot of fun and so simple to do too. It’s part of what drew me to Stamping in the first place – creativity at it’s best.

Why not check out all the products in the Perennial Lavender Suite (162613) and see what appeals to you? Remember if one of the items are on back order in a Suite or Bundle you can still order the other items separately.

Artistically Asian and more

Today’s cards have a decidedly Asian feel to them. It’s one of those sets that I had to take another look at after seeing cards created with it. I found I especially love the sentiments contained in this set.

Check out these cards made with the set. This first one uses simple circle created with our punch and used as a mask to create a lovely back drop for the silhouette image.

And how about with one done on our Glossy Card stock (144240) with Brusho Crystal Colour  (144101) and our Stampin’ Spritzers (126185).

We’ve got another great set called All the Good Things (146555/146558).

It’s got some wonderful sentiments too. And here is a lovely card done in Crumb Cake and Garden Green.

So simple but lovely – can you see all the texture? Torn edge and the Garden Green has been run through the Big Shot with the Subtle Embossing Folder (143706).

Fall Fun with the Chalkboard Banner Kit

Have you ever tried one of our Simply Created Kits? Well they’re great when you don’t have a lot of time or just want to create without any prep time and cutting since pretty much everything comes in the kit that you need, except scissors and adhesive.

They are also easy to step up simply by adding things that you already have. And our kits coordinate with all kinds of different products.

Today I’m going to share with you the fall banner I made that I made for my Holiday Catalog Premiere Party on Sunday with the Chalkboard Banner Simply Created Kit (133795). The banner was quick and easy to put together and looks great I think.

FALL Holiday Catalog Premiere Chalkboard Banner Simply Created Kit

Everyone will think that you spent a lot of time creating. But you know that you didn’t have to!

In addition to the kit I used my Autumn Accents Die (127812) to create some leaves and acorns for the pennants in between my letters.

I’ve made a quick video to show you how I did the leaves and acorns.

After I attached the leaves to the pennants I added some of our NEW Autumn Wooden Elements (135846) and a little bit of Bermuda Bay 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon (131206) that I tied in a knot to the chalk board pennants with a Glue Dot. I’m really loving these little wooden elements – they are just too cute and add just the right pop of color and texture.

Stop back by tomorrow when I’ll be sharing a favorite fall recipe with you.

Supplies:

Paper: Hello Honey (133643), Tangerine Tango (126946), and Cajun Craze Card Stock(126965)

Language of Friendship Filter Flowers Tutorial

I love the sentiment in the Language of Friendship stamp set (item 122750/122752) and thought it was perfect sentiment for this card I made recently for my friend’s birthday.

Language of Friendship

Do you like the filter flower on this card? If you follow my blog you’ve heard me mention before that I love our Stampin’ Spritzer (item 126185) and find them rather addictive, so I thought I would try them with our NEW White Creped Filter Paper (item 129393) from the Spring Catalog.

Since I’ve tried making my first filter flower they’ve become rather an obsession of mine; right now I’m finding that I’ve been adding them to everything – lol.

I’m having so much fun making these filter flowers that I wanted you to be able to join in the fun too! So here is my latest video tutorial – Stampin’ Spritzer Filter Flowers. I hope you’ll enjoy it.

And if you liked the video you’ll want a copy of my FREE Tutorial for my Language of Friendship card. You can just click on the link below to get your copy.
