The holidays bring back memories of trudging thru the snow to choose just the right tree from our field. I helped plant those blue spruce seedlings one by one with my father as a young child, stomping on the ground after he poured the water and dirt back around the seedling. That was many years ago and those acres of seedlings are now a forest; unfortunately he didn’t live to see his dream of selling trees for the holidays. But every year as the tree goes up in our home I think of that time we spent together and how much I loved being his helper.
