It’s a Traditional Christmas with Saint Nicholas

Do you have Saint Nic come to your house and fill the stockings? I know when I was a child my girlfriend did and thought it was pretty cool. I had no idea then that December 6th is Saint Nicholas Day, better known as Nikolaus in Germany. And while the day may not receive the full religious celebration it does in Southern Germany and other traditionally Catholic regions, children across Europe look forward to this day each year by leaving a stocking or shoe by the fireplace. As soon as I saw this set it made me think of my friend Dawn and her families tradition.

The Saint Nicholas Stamp Set (retiring 162099) that was used for this first card also has a coordinating die set and comes in a money saving bundle too.

Our Stampin’ Blends were used to color the image and it’s been cut out with our Deckled Rectangle Dies (159173). And this next card also uses a traditional feeling stamp set, the Regal Reindeer stamp set (159722) and it’s coordinating set of Reindeer Dies (159727).

his time the reindeer was colored with our Watercolor Pencils for a softer feel. Both are great for the holiday season.
