Stampin’ Up! Retires: Friends Never Fade

Friends Never Fade is such a great stamp set and you can do so many things with it. I especially like the sentiment that is included in the set don’t you? I remember the song from Brownies years ago – “some are silver the other gold”. I guess I’m dating myself, but I’ve found it to be true. True Friends Never Fade.

Here are some of the cards that I have made with the Friends Never Fade stamp set that is currently only available until May 31st. If you want to get this set and others on the retirement list you can click HERE to see the Retirement List.

Stampin’ Up! Retiring: Nature’s Nest

Nature's Nest

Did you have one of those little pet turtles with the plastic dish that had an island and palm tree when you were little? I did, I loved those little things although they seemed to have a habit of getting out and you’d have to track them down. Anyhow, that is what I always think about when I see the Nature’s Nest stamp set. It really brings back those childhood memories.

Nature’s Nest is one of the stamp sets listed on the Retirement List. Good news is you can still order until May 31st if this is on your wish list. Bad news is you only have until May 31st and then Nature’s Nest will be retired and gone forever.

Nature's Nest

Here are card Mary Long a new demonstrator gave me during a recent swaps using the Nature’s Nest stamp set that I wanted to share with you.

Saying goodbye to the Medallion

I love the Medallion background stamp. You can do so much with it and it looks great with so many things.

Here is a card that I made for my technique club that I made with the Medallion. I love the way it turned out and my club members had fun creating their own look too. No two cards turned out the same – that is the great thing about techniques sometimes.

Here is a card that I received in a swap from Pamela Smith. Her little paper flowers are great. And the simple rock and roll technique combined with embossing ads a lot of texture to the card.

Madallion

I’m sad to see the Medallion stamp go – but you’ll be happy to know you can still get yours until May 31st.

Did you notice that the ribbon has been “dyed” Old Olive to match the card? Did you know that you can make any of our Whisper White ribbons the color of your choice? Just take a sponge dauber and wipe it across the ribbon until you get the color desired. It’s that easy!
