Did you know that today is the end of the earning period for Bonus Day coupons?
And with our General Lee telling us we’ll have another 6 weeks of winter it is a great time to get some new crafting goodies to use during the long winter days.
And speaking of a long winter….. On a personal note we’ve had a couple of long cold weeks here in North Georgia so I’ve got some ice and snow pics for you. This is not the norm for us needless to say as we all make fun of the milk and bread runs that happen at the first mention of the mention of winter weather.

This first one is our weather station which apparently iced over quickly during the night. And the second photo of our view in the back – ice is always so beautiful to look at thru the window when the morning sun light hits it. We got over 3/4 of an inch here at the house, and I’ve got to say I was pretty surprised by how thick the ice when I saw it on the walk was since we didn’t loose a lot of tree branches/trees in the yard.

Thankfully our area in Northeast Georgia was spared the worst of it since we got sleet over night due to the colder temps before the freezing rain. We only lost power for a few hours before it was restored during the ice storm while others took days and just got it back before the frigid weather this past weekend. (However, not everyone’s internet has been restored even now due to the snow coming in this past weekend and the location of downed lines being difficult to get to.) Our linemen are definitely heroes and do a fantastic job of working their magic during and getting power restored during severe weather like this in awful conditions.

Of course I’m including our pups enjoying the rare snowfall LOL! Hana our adventurous girl dove in quickly while Kona assessed the situation for a bit.

Got to love Hana’s spirit – she definitely lives up to her name and keeps us on our toes.

Kona dove in and enjoyed the snow too once she got started

Both were ready to come in tho when we did as the temperatures were still dropping and winds picked up while we were outside.
I hope today’s post finds you all safe and warm too as we start of February.
Stop back by tomorrow when I share the NEW kits and more with you!
