Beautiful Autumn Tiny Treat Box & More Team fun!

Yesterday I shared the Home Decor project that we made at the Peak Princess event this past weekend, today I thought I’d share the little treat item that I made.

They are filled with these fun fall Hershey’s Kisses that I found locally.

I just love the colors of the candy – yes, I do shop for candy that way. (My daughter thinks this is a pretty crazy way to shop for chocolate, but she is always on the hunt for me too!)

These treats were quick and easy to make for everyone. I have whipped up a quick video so you can make some to if you’d like.

I also mentioned I’d share some more photos so here are a couple from the classroom.

This last picture is of the Sweet Potato Crostini I made for the event. The marshmallows spent a bit too much time under the broiler I’m afraid. Don’t you hate that? But they were still quite tasty.

They were a big hit with my guys so I thought you might enjoy the recipe – they are light, tasty and easy to do.


Sweet Potato Crostini

2 T. sugar

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

24 slices 1/4″ thick French bread baguette

2 to 3 T butter, melted

Topping:

2 c. mashed sweet potatoes

1/4 c. chopped pecans

3 T. packed brown sugar

2 T. butter, melted

1 1/4 c. miniature marshmallows, halved

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix sugar and cinnamon. Arrange bread sliced ona baking sheet. Brush with butter; sprinkle with sugar mixture. Bake until lightly browned, 5-7 minutes. Remove from oven; preheat broiler.

Mix sweet potatoes, pecans, brown sugar, and butter; spread over toasts. Top with marshmallows, pressing lightly. Broil 3-4 inches from heat until marshmallows are lightly toasted, 1-2 minutes.


So easy and tasty too!

Team Fun & the Gilded Autumn Pumpkin Home Décor Project

This past weekend I gathered with my Team, The Blue Mountain Stampers for a special biannual event. This event allows us to gather and celebrate everyone’s accomplishments over the last 6 months. We have a special project, along with prizes, and appetizers. So today I thought I’d share our project that we made.

This project was a lot of fun to make and everyone’s turned out differently since they could decide on which patterns they wanted to use. Here is mine.

I really love the colors and patterns of the Gilded Autumn Suite of Products and so I couldn’t resist making a home décor item with them. I also really love the way the little swirls of copper ribbon finish off this project. They are so easy to make – I bet you are wondering how I made them too!

You’ll need a wooden skewer or dowel along with your heat tool and Heavy Spray Starch. Yep, that’s it! You’ll also need a bit of patience as you make them since it does require some dry time tho. I’m not sure how they would hold up outside, but since I’m planning on using this project inside my home I wasn’t worried about our heavy Georgia humidity of late.

Many Mates

What is Many Mates? It’s a great sentiment set with great greetings and a great option for teaming up with your favorite image sets since it covers all kinds of occasions.

This set also comes with a great set of detailed dies, perfect for creating wonderful backgrounds and edges. Check out these first two cards using the dies.

Done in traditional red, white and blue this card has a classic feel to it and the pop of gold that was used with the Gold Glitter Enamel Dots (152155) and ribbon from the Boho Indigo Product Medley (153132/153925) give it a, well I think a navel feel, but maybe that’s just me.

This next card has great texture to it with it’s layers

The Tasteful Label Dies (152886) were used to layer the sentiment along with the Tasteful Texture 3D Embossing Folder (152718).

And if you are into clean and simple this next card might be just your thing. It uses our Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper 6×6 stack (152486) and the Magenta Madness 1/4″ Ribbon (153623). For a great female look.

Such a great layout – swap out the Designer Series Paper to create any kind of feel, it’s so simple. Don’t you love our Designer Series Papers and the quick pop of color they give us?

Beautiful Friendship

If you create a lot of birthday cards the Beautiful Friendship might be just the set for you with it’s lovely Birthdays are the best days sentiment and lovely floral images that have the feel of water coloring. Check out these two lovely cards using this set.

This first card has been done using Granny Apple Green, Terracotta Tile and Rich Razzleberry.

And this next card is a fun belly band card.

The images were stamped onto Whisper White card stock to create a faux Designer Series Paper and then cut down into strips to create this lovely card. When opened you can see all the lovely panels in full.

The card is done in our Purple Posy, Gorgeous Grape, Terracotta Tile, and Pretty Peacock for a softer feel.

This first card was created with the To A Wild Rose (149452) and is done in Coastal Cabana and Early Espresso. The Ribbon is the Faux Suede Trim (152472) found in the Annual Catalog.

Many Mates (152633) & our In Color Just Jade and Crumb Cake were used to create this lovely Anniversary card.

The Coordinating Dies, Many Medallions (153584) and 2020 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack (153070) were also used.

And here is a fun one using the Zany Zebras stamp set (152536) that also has a fun fold.

It’s been teamed up with our Balloon Bouquet Punch (140609) for a fun birthday card.

This next card uses another of our punches, the Umbrella Builder (151293) along with the Under My Umbrella stamp set (151518).

And the lovely Inspiring Iris (149268) done in Petal Pink.

The wood grain paper is from our very popular In Good Taste Designer Series Paper Stack (152494).

And how about this next card made with the Field of Flowers stamp set (152589)

Great for our guys this next card uses the Nature’s Beauty (150528) and Birch Background stamps (149256/149259).

The sentiment is from the Rustic Retreat (150285) set and the leaf from the Wild Rose Dies (149547). I just love how our products work together!

And this next card is done in our In Color, Misty Moonlight & Crumb Cake using the A Grand Kid (152500)

Need a quick and easy birthday card? Then the Happiest of Birthdays (152539) might be just the thing you need.

And my final card for the day was created with the Dressed to Impress stamp set (151666) and the Stitched So Sweetly Dies (151690)

More Cherish the Season

Yesterday I shared some cards with you done in the traditional red and green colors. Here are a couple more cards I wanted to share with you today. This first card uses Just Jade and Smoky Slate along with the Feels like Frost Specialty Designer Series paper (150444).

While the Just Jade isn’t a traditional Christmas green this card still has a traditional feel to it. The lovely little bell has been cut from our Silver Foil Sheets (132178). The colors make me think of snow and the song Silver Bells of course!

And this next card uses Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green. The back ground has been embossed using the fun Winter Snow Embossing Folder (153577) and the bell’s bows are made using the lovely All the Trimmings Ribbon Combo Pack (153541).

I just love the metallic edging on this ribbon pack. How about you?

Cherish the Season

Have you seen the Cherish the Season bundle in the Mini Catalog on page 33? The set is filled with images of bells and is right on trend for this holiday season. I’ve been seeing bells every where. Yes, Christmas is right around the corner the year has been flying by!

Today I’m sharing a couple of cards with you that use this bundle both use our lovely ‘Tis The Season Designer Series Paper (153489). This first card uses our beautiful Brushed Metallic Card stock (153524) for the bell along with the Tasteful Textile 3d Embossing Folder (152718) to add some texture to the background. I really think it is rather cool the way this die set cuts and embosses the bell at the same time.

And this next one teams the bundle up with the Mossy Meadow Diagonal Strip Ribbon (153542) and All the Trimming Ribbon Combo Pack (153541).

The bells are bright and really shine since they have been cut from our Gold Foil Sheets (132622).

Have a Hoot

Love owls? The new Have a Hoot Bundle is filled with some cute little owls using in the fall holidays for you and Christmas too!

Using the warm fall color Cajun Craze this card team up the Plaid Tiding Designer Series Paper (153527) to provide a fun fall feeling background with it’s images. The Iridescent Pearls (153549) and Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon (147897) provide a bit a shimmer and shine to the card.

With the wind blowing and the temperatures only in the 70s here in North Georgia due to the latest hurricane I’ve been praying for those in Sally’s path. Even this far away we are expecting rain and some flooding over the next several days it seems like a good time to be spending some time crafting. Stay safe.
