You’re a Rock Star

If you haven’t seen our Rock & Roll Suite Collection (162710) and have a budding musician or music lover, you’ll want to be sure to check it out. This set is great for all ages, and gives us a great option for teens too.

The Rock & Roll Designer Series Paper (1627036) is done in all black & white so you can add color or use as is and has a retro feel to it. Check out this first card that uses strips of the one pattern as a back drop and another for the sentiment.

The little Adhesive Backed Lightning & Stars (162709) add a quick pop of color and texture.

They come in 3 different colors including white which allows you to customize colors if you want too. This next card uses a different approach with its Glimmer Paper, the Three Color Glimmer Paper (Online Exclusive 162813). This pack has a choice of Highland Heather, Pretty Peacock, or the Petal Pink that was used for this card.

Some texture was added to the back ground with the Basic 3D Embossing Folders (Online Exclusives 1611598) and a bit of sponging in Cherry Cobbler. The fun little Petal Pink gem is from our Petal Pink & Pretty Peacock Foiled Gems (162587) which coordinates wonderfully with this pack of glimmer paper.

Fun Resist Technique & the Detailed Dogwoods

The end of Sale-a-bration is coming quickly on Thursday, February 29th

So today I thought I’d share a couple more cards with you using the Detailed Dogwood stamp set (Sale-a-bration 162953) and a quick and easy emboss resist technique.

I can remember the first time I saw this technique and it seemed like magic to me. Our image has been stamped in VersaMark and heat embossed with the White Embossing Powder. Additional stamping has been added to the background and then ink has been brushed on top of that. A paper towel is then used to wipe off the ink on the dogwood image. Voila! the image reappears easily since the embossing powder resists any of the ink. So simple but wow! Can you remember seeing a technique that blew you away the first time you saw it? Simple things like this make stamping so much fun!

And these next card uses our lovely Pebbled Path and Fresh Freesia for the color pallet of the next card.

I don’t know about you but I fell in love with Pebbled Path the first time I saw it. Such a great color that is so versatile. The image has been die cut using our Deckled Rectangle Dies (159173) to add a bit of texture. The lovely Pebbled Path 3/8″ Textured Ribbon (161632) and Adhesive Backed Sparkle Gems (161288) add a bit of shine and elegance to the project.

So pretty and here in North Georgia the dogwoods dot our woodlands and landscapes during the spring. A reminder of renewal.

Another fun Jungle Pals Card Tutorial

Last week I shared a tutorial for a birthday card using the Sale-a-bration stamp set, Jungle Pals Stamp Set (Sale-a-bration 162950) and as I mentioned I’ll be sharing another with you today!

My daughter’s birthday is coming up and she loves allegators and crocodiles since she was a little girl, so I just this was the perfect set for a her birthday card this year! After all who can resist these fun little animals?

And while she is no longer the child who was dreaming of marrying the crocodile hunter one day, I still get photos of her with the crocks every time she goes to the zoo or aquarium.

This card uses the Shaded Spruce from the Regals Collection Designer Series Paper (161642). I’ve teamed it up with the sentiment from the Artistically Inked stamp set (154542) since I like the clean font it used. The Granny Apple Green Stampin Blends (154885) makes the little guy bright and cheerful I thought and was a nice contrast to the Shaded Spruce.

Jungle Pals Birthday Card Tutorial

I immediately fell in love with the cute little animals from the Jungle Pals Stamp Set (Sale-a-bration 162950)

and couldn’t resist creating some bright and bold cards using this Sale-a-bration product. The fact you can also earn the coordinating dies makes it very versatile.

But today’s card is quick and easy since it uses simple stamping.

I’ve used the Subtles Designer Series Paper (161644) and the bold Calypso Coral stripe pattern. Did some simple coloring with my Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends (154881) and voila! A great birthday card for young and old.

Sale-a-bration’s Heartfelt Hellos

I love the fact that each year Stampin’ Up! does a two month event where we can earn FREE products. Not only are these products a lot of fun to earn, but they have helped me build my stamping collection over the years. I always love the sentiment sets since I can team them up with other things I already have so the Heartfelt Hellos (Sale-a-bration 162964) was a must have.

And the fact you can use it with our new Heartfelt Hexagon Punch (162888) makes it quick and easy to use too. Check out these two cards made using this set for Mother’s Day.

This first card uses the Sunny Days Designer Series Paper (162974) which has bold cheerful images you can use for all kinds of things including the coordinating Mini Catalog Bundle, Bright Skies.

This next card uses the soft and sweet Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper (Sale-a-bration 162977) and some folding to create this sweet card.

The little Brushed Brass Butterflies (158136) and Flat Adhesive Backed Pearls (160449) add a special touch.

Don’t need a Mother’s Day card? The great thing about a set like this is you can simply swap out the sentiment for one that you need. Meaning you can make one design and use the card for multiple occasions something I find helpful when I’ve got a busy schedule. How about you?

Flight & Airy Note Card Tutorial

If you love the Sale-a-bration Designer Series Paper, Flight & Airy you’ll enjoy today’s card.

The Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper (Sale-a-bration 162977) set the color pallet for this soft and feminine note card. And it’s quick and easy to whip up a number of these cards with just one pack of the FREE paper too. I just love the Go To Greetings Stamp set (158763) with it’s lovely flowing script and different size sentiments. It’s a great stamp set to have in your arsenal of basic stamps whether you are new to stamping or a long time stamper sets like this are great.

And another great basic is our Nested Essentials Dies (161597) that I’ve used for this card since it has basic shapes in multiple sizes.

Stippled Roses

Need a soft lovely stamp set with classic images? Love Roses? How about the Stippled Roses Bundle (162667) found in our Mini catalog

This set has some great sentiments for the ladies and to use for special occasions and check out the soft flowing font used to convey well wishes too.

Today’s card uses a quick and easy technique with our Blending Brushes (153611) and it’s a great way to add multiple colors to an image like this one. Simply ink up your brush and “pounce” onto your image to add the color.

You’ll want to start with the lightest color first so you don’t contaminate your ink pads with a darker color. This images uses Berry Burst, blackberry Bliss, Bubble Bath and Mossy Meadow to create this soft floral look.

The background has been dry embossed with our Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder (154317) and the 3/8″ Sheer Ribbon Combo Pack (161635) gives it a bit of silver shine that is complemented by the Basic Rhinestones Jewels (144220). A lovely card for a special day.

Nature’s Sweetness Suite

Love nature, it’s colors, textures, and feel? If so you may enjoy the products found in the Nature’s Sweetness Suite Collection (162645) as this collection is filled with wonderful images, textures and a bit of foil too.

I shared some projects using the Notes of Nature bundle earlier (you can see them here) and today I’ll be sharing a project using the Lovely & Sweet Bundle (162627) found in the suite and more.

This card uses the love sentiment from the set and has a warm rich feel. The fun little Adhesive Backed Cork Rounds (162643) add a bit of texture to the card along with the dies and Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder (161600). Don’t you love the die for creating a “note book” page? And here are two more cards using that Notes of Nature Dies (163203).

This first card has been done in Crumb Cake, Shaded Spruce and Mossy Meadow. The simple stamping and dies make this a great card that is quick and easy to do. And this next fun fold card uses the gold foil sheet from the Nature’s Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper (162616) and stands up.

This fun fold will stand up on your desk. The dies add a bit of interest in this monochromatic card and the Brushed Brass Butterflies (158136) go perfectly with the sentiment. After all who doesn’t smile when they see a butterfly?

Yesterday I shared some fun projects using the Trusty Tools Bundle (162723) and Trusty Toolbox Designer Series Paper (Sale-a-bration 162978), today I’m going to share a quick and easy card.
