Fun Resist Technique & the Detailed Dogwoods

The end of Sale-a-bration is coming quickly on Thursday, February 29th

and that means our Free exclusive products will be gone along with the opportunity of joining my Team and getting the exclusive Glass Matt as part of your Kit

So today I thought I’d share a couple more cards with you using the Detailed Dogwood stamp set (Sale-a-bration 162953) and a quick and easy emboss resist technique.

I can remember the first time I saw this technique and it seemed like magic to me. Our image has been stamped in VersaMark and heat embossed with the White Embossing Powder. Additional stamping has been added to the background and then ink has been brushed on top of that. A paper towel is then used to wipe off the ink on the dogwood image. Voila! the image reappears easily since the embossing powder resists any of the ink. So simple but wow! Can you remember seeing a technique that blew you away the first time you saw it? Simple things like this make stamping so much fun!

And these next card uses our lovely Pebbled Path and Fresh Freesia for the color pallet of the next card.

I don’t know about you but I fell in love with Pebbled Path the first time I saw it. Such a great color that is so versatile. The image has been die cut using our Deckled Rectangle Dies (159173) to add a bit of texture. The lovely Pebbled Path 3/8″ Textured Ribbon (161632) and Adhesive Backed Sparkle Gems (161288) add a bit of shine and elegance to the project.

So pretty and here in North Georgia the dogwoods dot our woodlands and landscapes during the spring. A reminder of renewal.

More Snowflake Wishes

Snow. How magical and beautiful it is with it’s icy blues when it falls and lays pristinely on the ground. And the Snowflake Wishes bundle gives you just that. The fun of the Christmas snowfall without all the work!

Check out these 3 lovely cards done in shades of blue and lots of glittering perfection – perfect for the holiday season. This first card uses simple stamping and teams it up with the Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper  and Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper. The Snowflake Splendor 1/4″ Ribbon adds a bit more sparkle! I love how this ribbon picks up the colors around it, making it a great choice for all kinds of projects.

There is lots of texture on this next card since it uses the Winter Snow Embossing Folder as a back drop.

And this last card uses an emboss resist technique – the snowflakes are heat embossed using White Embossing Powder (109132) and then sponged to make them pop! For this card the Blue Adhesive Baked Gems bring a bit of glitz!
