It’s that time of year to look back at 2025 and say goodbye. When I was a teenager one of my favorite things was listening to the countdown on the radio of the years hits. Now I watch the year in review on the news – It reminds me of many things I’ve already forgotten as the year seems to fly by.
So this week I thought I’d share a look back with you, some “silver & gold” from my craft room – this childhood song is about making friends. I’ve always like the meaning of the friendship song of making new friends and keeping the old – “some are silver and the others gold”. How about you?
I’ve teamed this paper up with the retired Thoughtful Wishes Stamp set and Dies which are retired. You might already have this on your shelves, if not you can use another sentiment set that you love.

Summer. Sun, water, and sand…there is nothing like a day at the beach or pool during these hot summer days. So today’s cards highlight the Seaside Wishes Bundle (163498).
With it’s fun coordination pieces and all occasion sentiments.
Today’s first card uses a simple tearing technique and adds a bit of color to the edge with our Sponge Daubers (133773).
And finally this next card uses a quick and easy resist technique.
Basic stamping has been done for the cards sentiments and rocks, then the sand dollars have been stamped with VersaMark Pad (102283/102193). After a that it’s been heat embossed with our Basics Wow! Embossing Powder (165679). Finally using our Blending Brushes (153611 or 160518) Summer Splash, Shy Shamrock, and Azure Afternoon has been added and the excess wiped off with a paper towel to create the emboss resist.

Today I’m going to share projects using one of our Sale-a-bration’s Stamp Sets with you. The Detailed Dogwood stamp set (Sale-a-bration 162953) is one of our Level Two options and it’s got some great images that you can team up with your favorite sentiment set.
This first card uses simple stamping to create a lovely card.
This final card uses a quick and simple torn edge technique to create a wonderful card that has tons of texture.
First the panels have been stamped, then the edge has been torn and they have been layered one on top of the other right to left to create the card front. The Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder (162189) has been used for the first Lost Lagoon layer, then Pool Party, and a piece of the Designer Series Paper, Softly Stippled (Sale-a-bration 162975) and finally a stamped layer of Calypso Coral. The sentiment has been popped up and uses the quick and easy Double Oval Punch (154242) which makes sentiments like this quick and easy to do!

The Wildlife Wonder stamp set (157923) is one of those sets that draws your eye and is wonderful for creating cards for those men in our lives.
It’s filled will some wonderful all occasion sentiments in addition to some lovely sketched images that have shading built right into them making them great for simple stamping. Check out today’s card highlighting the set.
It really is a wow card, even though it uses simple stamping. I just love the use of the Stargazing Designer Series Paper (161175) and 2022-2024 In color Textured Specialty Paper (161747) which give it a special feel with it’s imagery and shimmer. And for a bit of texture the torn edge technique was used on the the Metal Plate 3D Embossing Folder (160766) layer, along with the Stylish Shapes Dies (159183), and Neutrals Adhesive Backed Sequins (161627) were used.
Makes me think of a clear, cold winter night up here in the mountains when the stars are so bright, how about you?
It contains some lovely all occasion sentiments along with holiday ones making it great for all winter long. And since it is a 2 step stamp set you’ve got lots of choices too. Snowflakes! I love them and the fact they are all different and unique like us.
Today’s card is monochromatic and done in one of my favorite In Colors, Orchid Oasis.
It also features a quick and simple technique, the torn edge. It’s so easy to do but gives your project lots of texture quickly.
