Come Sail Away Fun

The official kick off to summer has begun and that makes me think of the beach, so today I’ll be sharing some cards made with the Come Sail Away Suite (152175).

Check out all these wonderful projects made using this Sailing Home Stamp set (149457).

I’m going to miss these fun little trinkets (149482).

This first card is done in Sahara Sand and Night of Navy and has been teamed up with the Pinewood Plank Embossing Folder (152320).

This next one is one in Balmy Blue and Night of Navy and includes a fun fold

And how about this one with it’s sponged background?

Today’s final project has a ton of texture since it uses the Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder (retiring 151811).

This Suite is filled with all kinds of goodies, and did you know that it is part of the Retirement List? While the Sailing Home stamp set (149457) and the Smooth Sailing Dies (149576) will be available in the 2020 Annual Catalog separately you won’t be able to get all the yummy things that go with it or the discounted Bundle price after June 2nd or while supplies last.

Good Morning Magnolia

Dignity and Nobility…. Did you know that is the meaning of the Magnolia? Here in the south the white magnolias are commonly seen in bridal bouquets because the flowers are thought to reflect and emphasize the bride’s purity and nobility. With June just a few days away it got me thinking about weddings and magnolias, so today I thought I’d share a few cards with you using the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set (149298) and it’s coordinating set of dies, Magnolia Memories (149578).

This first card uses our So Saffron (149557), Shaded Spruce (147938) and Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends (147273) to color the bloom. I love the way our Blends give us bold color and they are so easy to work with since they come in a light and dark version.

You can see all our Stampin’ Blends HERE. (Remember our Stampin’ Blends are going to be in the 2020 Annual Catalog, just the option of purchasing them separately is going away. So if a single blend is sold out right now, you’ll be able to get the color again on June 3rd in a combo pack) .

And this next card uses our Old Olive, Petal Pink, Crumb Cake and Mango Melody. Don’t you love the way color changes the feel of a project!

And finally this bold card that highlights the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper (Retiring 152455). It uses one of the sentiments and the Nested Label Dies along with some simple stamping.

While this pattern is from the pack that is sold out it is available in the bulk pack option. It also has the same patterns just fewer patterns. You’ll get 4 of the wonderful patterns found in the original package tho, so you won’t be disappointed. It’s a great deal at just $17 for 20 sheets!

The Good Morning Magnolia Bundle (Retiring 151087) is on our Last Chance list and only available until supplies last or June 2nd which ever comes first. So why not save 10% on this bundle? There are lots of options left for this Suite of products that you’ll want to check out if you would like to create projects like these too. Click HERE to see them.

Saying goodbye to Painted Harvest

Today I’m sharing a tutorial for a card made with one of my favorite stamps that is retiring. The Painted Harvest set is photopolymer so it’s easy to line up and the 2-step images in this set are very forgiving since you don’t have to line them up perfectly either.

Pick a color pallet that includes a few colors like this project does or use just one color to create shades and depth – either way you’ll love the look since this stamp set does all the work for you with it’s built in shading and watercolor feel.

While I used more of a this project has more of a “autumn” feel to it change up the Cajun Craze for Daffodil Delight and you’ll have a “summer” feel to your project. Don’t you love how simply changing color gives you a whole new look?

If you’d like to make this card I’ve got a tutorial with the complete supply list and measurements for you.

Painted Harvest Card Tutorial PDF

And this next one uses Blackberry Bliss – love this rich color!

And finally a 3d project. This little post it note holder uses shades of Crushed Curry for the sunflower.

Enjoy!

Friend Like You Card Tutorial

Today’s card is bright and cheerful and great for summer

So what do you think? Love the summer time feel – we are just starting to heat up here in North Georgia and with Memorial Day right around the corner I’m looking forward to getting back in the pool. (That is once we get the new liner installed, our old one decided to give up on us last week as we were preparing to open it.)

Here is my tutorial for you so you can make some too and spread a little sunshine

Friend Like You Card Tutorial PDF

I love the Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay combination that I used for this project. However, after I made it I realized that the Bright Color Collection Paper was no longer available, you may already have some which is great. If not the good news is we’ll have a new stack of patterns in the Brights Color Collection (152487) available in June when the 2020 Annual Catalog launches, so you can get some then. Or if you don’t want to wait check out the Follow Your Art Designer Series Paper (retiring 149489) which has a great Coastal Cabana pattern in it and it’s available at a fantastic price while it lasts!

Enjoy!

Supplies:

Stamp Set: Friend Like You (149237)

Inks: Soft Suede (147115/115663), Bermuda Bay (147096/131156), and Granny Apple Green Classic Ink (147095)

Paper: Brights Collection Designer Series Paper (Retired 147001), Coastal Cabana (131297), and Whisper White Card stock (100730)

To a Wild Rose

Love roses? How about yellow ones? These were always my mom’s favorite growing up since I dad would get them for her when they were first married.

The To a Wild Rose stamp set (149452) was used to stamp this bright and cheerful card. And the color really pops with it’s Pineapple Punch and Daffodil Delight Combination. And since this stamp set is a photopolymer set it’s easy to line up the two-step images to create wonderful color and depth when stamping.

I love the way the Pineapple Punch has been teamed up with the Shaded Spruce leaves. Wondering how the focal point leaves were done? Well it’s our Watercolor Paper. The outline of the leaves were stamped and then a wash of color was added to create this soft look. This mirrors the stamped background images that aren’t popped up, those were stamped with shades of the Daffodil and Shaded Spruce. Cool right?

Why not stop by my Online Store and check out the 2018-2020 In Color Pineapple Punch and the money saving To a Wild Rose Bundle (151073) before it is gone along with all the other retiring items – you can still get this wonderful color while supplies last or until June 2nd. After that all the items on our Last Chance List will be going away.

Then stop back by tomorrow when I’ll be sharing a tutorial with your for a fun summer themed card.

Saying goodbye to Music from the Heart

When I saw this stamp set last fall I just new I had to have it. Not only did Dawn do a fantastic job of designing her set, but my daughter is a band director so I knew I’d use it for all kinds of projects. And it hasn’t disappointed – it’s got tons of versatility! Check out these cards using the set.

This first one uses our Pretty Peacock and Blackberry Bliss along with some punches too.

The Timeless Label Punch (149516) has been used to punch out the sentiment and then a second punched piece was cut in half to create this layer of layer under it. Such a quick and easy way to layer when using a punch. The piano sets on a Blackberry Bliss piece punched using the Starburst Punch (Retiring 143717). And our must have Layering Circle Dies (141705) were used to cut out the piano and the larger Basic Gray circle. A few Rhinestones are scattered around the card front for a bit of bling – don’t you love the face that we have packed of rhinestones ready to go like this card uses? Check out the Noble Peacock Rhinestones (retiring 149494) for a great selection of colors.

This next card also uses the piano image, this time done in Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, and Calypso Coral for a pop of color using the Label Me Lovely Punch (151296) using the same technique to create the mat.

Do you recognize the Designer Series Paper pattern? It’s from the very popular Best Dressed Designer Series Paper (retiring 151319) pack of paper.

And finally this last card uses our fun Melon Mambo and Black for it’s color pallet.

Bright bold and fun – and check out the Noble Peacock Rhinestones again (Retiring 149494). Told you it was packed with colors!

So what do you think? Love music or know someone who does? If you haven’t gotten yours you’ll want to get it now before it’s gone for good. Stamp sets were only guaranteed until the 15th of May, so after today it will be like the other products on our Last Chance List and only available while supplies last!

Why not take a few minutes to check things out and get your favorite 2018-2020 In Colors and other products before they are gone.

Need a wonderful set with lovely images and dies that will last a lifetime and can work with all kinds of things?

Why not check out the Last a Lifetime Bundle (Retiring 153736), the Bundle which saves you 10% is on the Retirement List.

Simple and elegant – this card uses our Sponge Brayers (141714) to add a subtle gradual gradient layer of color onto a piece of Whisper White Card stock. After the sentiment has been heat embossed and the Lasting Elegance Dies (151475) have been used to cut out the frame and floral images. I love the ways that you can build different looks with this set of dies.
