Throw Back Thursday with Healing Hugs

Recently I found some cards that I haven’t shared with you on my desk so today I’m beginning to share a series of tutorials I’ll be calling Throw Back Thursday since they highlight something you might already have in your craft supplies. They also include new products found in my Online Store.

One of the things I love about Stampin’ Up! is their product coordination and these project will show you just how easy it is to coordinate the old with the new.

Since it’s that time of year I thought I’d stare with the Healing & Hugs stamp set since we all have someone we know who might be feeling under the weather during cold and flu season.

This set contains cute little animals so it was one I definitely wanted to add to my collection. I’ve teamed it up with our fun Brights Designer Series Paper Assortment (165301) and used one of my favorite colors, Coastal Cabana.

Silly Safari Baby Card Tutorial

I’m back with my weekly tutorial and today I’m sharing a fun little card that uses my card sketch #8. I love this sketch for whimsical cards like this using the Silly Safari Stamp set (165254).

I find this set a lot of fun to work with the images are fun and the sentiments quirky. They are super for all ages and the young at heart. And it also comes in a money saving bundle with a fun circle punch too if you love punches!

Back to today’s tutorial – want to see this fun little card welcoming a new little one?

This card was done in traditional baby colors using the Brights family – you’ll see that the colors Azure Afternoon, Daffodil Delight, and Granny Apple Green have been used. All bright cheerful colors perfect for this type of card.

You’ll love the color family packs of Designer Series Paper that have all 10 colors in them along with 4 fun patterns – they are great when wanting to build your collection and are very versatile too since they come in a 6×6 stack.

Silly Safari Go Wild Card Tutorial

My daughter loves the zoo and always has. When traveling she tries to visit the local zoo or one on the way to her destination. So when I saw the Silly Safari Bundle (165260) in the 2025 Annual Catalog I just knew it was one I had to have!

So for today’s card I’ve used one of my Card Sketches and the sweet little leopard image.

I’ve used my Stampin’ Blends to color him so that I’ve got a bold cheerful look as I teamed up the image with one of the NEW patterns found in the Brights Designer Series Paper Assortment (165301).

And as I mentioned I’ve used a Card Sketch for this project. I’ve been giving you a PDF so you can create one too and use it as a design tool too.

Blueberry Bushel Fun Fold Card Tutorial

It’s been cold here in North Georgia and while I don’t like the snow and ice to stick around long the lows at night haven’t been above freezing, so it’s still sticking around in the higher elevations and in shady spots. While it’s cold like this it makes me think of our blueberry bushes. Odd, right? But I know that the chilling hours we get now will help give me a bumper crop come June and I’ve loved picking blueberries and of course using them in all kinds of things from our bushes since our children were small.

So today’s card shows off those wonderful blueberries I’m anticipating with a fun fold. Open the front panel and you’ll see the beautiful Designer Series Paper inside.

Open the second panel and you’ll have a full panel for writing.

Bright Borders

Today’s cards both use the Bright Borders stamp set (164753) that you can find on page 58 of the January – April Mini Catalog.

This stamp set is an all occasions set that includes some wonderful sentiments and images. It also coordinates with the NEW To the Point Label Punch (164568) making it a great choice for beginning stampers or quick project making. I loved sets like this when I first started stamping since it took the stress of lining up an image perfectly on my stamped panel. With a punch it’s easy, stamp on a scrap piece, line up the image inside the punch and cut! Who doesn’t love that?

This first card is done in our Soft Sea Foam and Petal Pink giving it a softer feel perfect for spring.

The Soft Waves 3D Embossing Folder (164695) gives some interest to the background and the lovely Petal Pink 3/8″ Scalloped Ribbon (164680) adds more texture with it’s fine details and scalloped edge. For a little bolder look how about this next card done in Flirty Flamingo and Pecan Pie?

Simple stamping was used to create the card front and a panel from our Brights Designer Series Paper Assortment (163775). A bit of white from our Basics Wow! Embossing Powder (165679) steps it up and adds a bit of shine to the sentiment panel. The white ribbon from the Petal Pink & White 1/4″ Diagonal Trim Combo Pack (163417) and the Party Dots (164602) add some texture.

So what do you think? This is a great set to use with all kinds of products that you may already have on hand.

Today’s card uses a fun fold called the Gate Fold it also uses one of my favorite stamp sets, the Enjoy the Rhythm Stamp set (retiring 160361) that is retiring and only available while supplies last.

Enjoy the Rhythm Fun Fold Tutorial

Today’s card uses one of my favorite fun folds since it allows a bit of Designer Series Paper shine!

This time I’ve used the bold stripe in Poppy Parade from the Brights Collection Designer Series Paper (161643) assortment pack and teamed it up with Coastal Cabana for a classic retro kind of feel.

If you have a teen or a music lover the Enjoy the Rhythm Stamp set (160361) is a great choice for crafting. I’ve whipped up a quick video tutorial and PDF for you too.

A Little Pick Me Up with Construction Zone

Friend Like You Card Tutorial

Today’s card is bright and cheerful and great for summer

So what do you think? Love the summer time feel – we are just starting to heat up here in North Georgia and with Memorial Day right around the corner I’m looking forward to getting back in the pool. (That is once we get the new liner installed, our old one decided to give up on us last week as we were preparing to open it.)

Friend Like You Card Tutorial PDF

I love the Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay combination that I used for this project. However, after I made it I realized that the Bright Color Collection Paper was no longer available, you may already have some which is great. If not the good news is we’ll have a new stack of patterns in the Brights Color Collection (152487) available in June when the 2020 Annual Catalog launches, so you can get some then.
