A Fish & a Wish

The A Fish & A Wish stamp set (158993) is one of those you’ll find yourself reaching for time and time again for those difficult cards that we need from time to time. The sold watercolor images make stamping them quick and simple too. Add the punch and you’ve got quick and easy options.

Check out these two cards made with the A Fish & A Wish Bundle (159001) that is found on page 70 of the Annual Catalog. This first card is done in neutrals and has a belly band.

Texture was not only added with the Hive 3D (157955) and Timber 3D Embossing Folders (156406) but also with the Linen Thread (104199) and Natural Finish 7/8″ Texture Ribbon (159051).

And this next card is done in the bold colors Calypso Coral, Bermuda Bay, and Blackberry Bliss.

The shinny pop of color comes from the Glossy Dots Assortment (158827).

Nuts About Squirrels Card Tutorial

Today is my third and final card that I’ve created for you along with it’s tutorial using the Nuts About Squirrels stamp set from the Annual Catalog. If you haven’t already checked it out I’m sure you’ll want to do so along with the previous tutorials I’ve created with this set too. This stamp set is so much fun to work with and since it is a 2-step stamp set you can create all kinds of color combinations with it giving you a lot of versatility.

Today’s card is one that you can send to a friend of family member to check in. As always I find with the start of school illness happens and this is a cheerful way of letting someone know you’re thinking of them.

With its fun bright colors the Celebrate Everything Designer Series Paper makes this card sooo easy to create. I like the way our Designer Series Papers gives you are built in color combination option every time.

Back on Your Feet Fun

Yesterday, I shared with you some of the cards that my team created for the shoe box swap at our Team Retreat – today I’ll be sharing mine along with the video tutorial so you can make some too if you’d like.

The Back on Your Feet stamp set found on page 83 in our 2019 Annual Catalog contains such cute images I couldn’t resist it, after all it seems like I’ve been need of get well cards lately.

And the little turtle image brought back childhood memories – Did you have a pet turtle growing up? I know I had the whole set up plastic dish with the island and palm tree you could place in the center – my little guy was always getting out. Sigh…. what simple pleasures.

Any how here is my card.

I just love the NEW Pigment Sprinkles in our exclusive Stampin’ Up! Colors!!! I knew as soon as I saw them I wanted to play with them at the team retreat while I had some dedicated crafting time – and they don’t disappoint with their bright bold colors!

Healing Hugs

Today’s post will be a quick one since I’ve spent the day in town and it is late, but I wanted to share these great cards created with the Healing Hugs stamp set with you today before I turned in for the night.

I have a harder time stamping these kinds of cards, but the Healing Hugs stamp set (146527/146530) makes them a lot easier since it has this wonderful image and great sentiments perfect for get well cards.

I love this set since it uses our new Distinktive process for the beautiful rose image – gives it so much depth and makes it look so real.

Hip Notes Get Well

Recently my nephew broke his leg and I want to send him a card that will bring a smile to his face. It seems like he just can’t catch a break, (no pun intended). Newly married and with a baby on the way, being out of work for 3 months it tough.

So this weekend the first card I created was one for Kevin.

I wasn’t sure where to start and I was thinking about a cast, but then I ran across the Hip Notes stamp set (133501/133504) from the Occasions Catalog on page 18. For some reason this sentiment just made me chuckle when I saw it, and I knew the kid would get the sense of humor of the sentiment. Of course the pattern from the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper (FREE Sale-a-bration item) reminded me of a hospital gown somehow. See it? Well maybe it was the late night and wine?

Bordering on Romance

Recently I needed a get well card and here is what I came up with. I used the Bordering on Romance Stamp Set to create the focal point for my card. This is a great set since you can do so many different things with the images. And did you notice that the doily wasn’t white and were wondering how I added the color to it? I’ve got a how to video you can see here.

Have you ever water colored with our Stampin’ Write Markers? I really love our Stampin’ Write Markers and use them for a lot of my projects. It’s one of my favorite ways to use them and now that our Watercolor Paper comes in larger sheets it a lot easier to use them for any of our images.

I hope this card brought a smile to her face when she opened it.
