Holiday Catalog Kick Off Gather Together Make n Take

It finally feels a little bit like fall here in North Georgia with some cooler temperatures, while it is still in the 80s there’s a hint of cooler weather coming our way. And after spending the evening last night with my daughter and her band, watching them and the other county’s High School bands perform their half time shows it feels more like fall to me too.

Check out this fun fall card that we make using the Come to Gather Suite of products found in the Holiday Catalog.

This suite is filled with those colors that make us think of fall and I’m loving the Come to Gather Ribbon Combo Pack with it’s rich satin edge ribbon and linen thread – perfect for a range of products.

Today’s card uses the Brick & Motar 3d Embossing Folder to create some texture and interest in the background. Our embossing folders are perfect for this and make it quick and easy too.

Want to see how this card comes together? Check out my video tutorial and of course a printable PDF too.

Gather Together Mini Shipping Treat Box

Today’s treat box was created special for my Holiday Catalog Kick Off last Saturday and it will filled with some chocolate goodies. I had a lot of fun making them for my guests.

Any how here is the treat – a made with one of our Mini Shipping Boxes, so it will hold quite a bit.

Clearly I had a thing for caramel when I was shopping since when I started filling the boxes I realized I’d picked up 4 different kinds. Or maybe it was because I was looking at the color coordinating packaging! LOL! Do you ever do that?

I really love how these treat boxes turned out and I can’t wait to share the fun technique for creating these wonderful little leaves and stamping on the wood element pieces that I used to decorate the box. No inky fingers! Ahh….. the magic of stamping.

Why not check out my video tutorial? Not only will you see just how easy these treats were to make but I’ll share a couple of tips and tricks with you too.

So what do you think? If you’d like to make some fall treats like this I’ve got a PDF with step by step instructions that goes with my video and it contains the complete supply list for you too.

Harvest Takeout Treat Video Tutorial

Do you love making treats for family and friends? If so you are going to LOVE this adorable little box made with the Takeout Treat Thinlits Dies. It makes treats sooooo quick and easy.

Check out these little Harvest Takeout Treats I made recently for my Stamp A Stack class last week. Wouldn’t they be cute adorning your Thanksgiving table?

They are small but they hold just the right amount of chocolate – I filed mine with these Lindor Truffles. Yum and the wrappers matched my color choice which was a nice coincidence too. LOL!

Here is my final tutorial for you this week

Tips for using the Painted Harvest Stamp Set

Today’s card is made using the Painted Harvest Stamp Set and there are a couple of things that will make you more successful when you use this set. So today not only will I be sharing the tutorial for the Holiday Catalog Kick Off Make n Take, but I’ve also got a little video for you sharing some basics for this stamp set.

First here is the card that we made.

I love the way that this set has a built in watercolor feel to it – and it has quickly become one of my favorites to use with it’s pretty font. I used Fresh Fig for the flowers on this card and love the richness of the color.

Want the instructions to make this card? Well here is the tutorial

These two cards are some I received in my swap using the Basket of Wishes stamp set found on page 49 of the Holiday Catalog.

Vintage Leaves

Fall is fast approaching – some mornings there is a nip in the North Georgia Mountain air. And with Labor Day on Monday summer will be officially over. While I mourn the more laid back days of summer I also look forward to the change in the seasons – an of course a lower air conditioning bill. LOL.

Today’s card was given to me Terry, a fellow demonstrators. She’s added a bit of shimmer and shine to her rich Cherry Cobber Leaf by adding some Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder.

Vintage Leaves

Can you see it?

And isn’t it great that Stampin’ Up! helps us save 15% off with Bundles? You can find a money saving bundle (140235) for the Vintage Leaves stamp set and Leaflets Framelits dies on page 88 of our Annual Catalog. Whoo hoo! how great is that – Make fantastic fall projects and save too?

Hello Fall!

Well there was a nip in the air yesterday morning as I went to the grocery store – it was the first time I pulled on a light weight jacket this fall. Aaaahhh fall  – the cool nights and cooler days. It will be  almost 80 here today – so fall is such a mixed bag! It’s a good day for painting doors I guess – I just need to get motivated and my stamps are calling me. LOL

Todays card is one I stamped after looking out the window for a bit yesterday. With the wind, the leaves were rolling across the yard.

Fall Fest

This card is clean and simple and I love the technique of using the darker layer  and then the smaller Whisper White card on the top. It allows for that pop of color without having to create an inside panel for writing.

I stamped this card using Tangelo Twist and Crushed Curry – two great fall colors. I used the Bermuda Bay for the sentiment and base. A bit untraditional, but I love the color. So what do you think?

For All Things & World Card Making Day

Did you know this past Saturday was World Card Making Day? Well it was, and so today I thought I’d show you one of the 12 cards we stamped on Saturday during my card making event. Everyone who attended was able to make 12 cards for all different kinds of occasions.

world card making day (6)

This card is made using the For All Things stamp set . I love the colors of fall and as I sit here looking out my window I can already see the Crushed Curry color showing up in the trees across the street. We’ve had a real cold snap here in North Georgia this past week so I’m sure there will be a lot more color soon and the leaf watchers will be heading for the mountains to enjoy the fall color.

Here is a picture from the World Card Making Day event on Saturday.

World Card Making Day (1)

We had a lot of fun visiting while we stamped together. I’m so blessed to have such a great group of ladies!
