Elegant Leaves Trio Faux Step Card Tutorial

Today’s card was created for a friend to send fall birthday wishes. I wanted to create something that she could place on her mantel so I chose a fun fold, Faux Step Card.

Done in rich fall colors this card was easy to create with a few score lines and stamping off technique.

I’ve used the Sunflower Fields Designer Series Paper (168351) to inspire my color choices for this project. I love the way Designer Series Paper helps us coordinate colors for my projects quickly and easily simply by choosing a favorite sheet from the package.

Would you like to see how I created this Faux Step Card? If so, here is a quick video tutorial for you along with my PDF that contains the link, supply list, and of course measurements too!

The fun little Early Espresso vase is one of the fun die cut shapes found in the bundle and it’s been filled with a warm Golden Glow flower that has had color added to it with our Stampin’ Blends.

The sentiment repeats that Early Espresso and has been cut out using an old favorite of mine, the Nested Essentials Dies (161597).

Radiant Sunflowers

Sunflowers, those smiling faces raising about the garden. My son enjoyed planting these when he was in high school and I learned I could dry them and then set them out for the birds as the weather changed from fall to winter giving them an extra food source. We enjoyed watching them outside our dinner each night.

Today’s card highlights one of the lovely sentiments found in the Sunflower Fields Suite (168365).

The card pulls it’s color pallet from the Sunflower Fields Designer Series Paper (168351) and uses the rich Cajun Craze and Darling Duckling.

I really like these colors together for fall, how about you?

The Party Banner Dies (165264) has been used to cut the plaid pattern and Stampin’ Blends have been used to add color to the die cut sunflower image. A fun little matt Cajun Craze dot from the Painted Patch Adhesive Backed Dots (168443) adds a bit of texture and repeats the dots on the Designer Series Paper too.

This fun little guy is from the Fun for Fall Stamp set (Online Exclusive 168136) that is part of a bundle.

Filled with some fun images and all occasion sentiments its a great set for the season. Change up the colors and your gardening friends will enjoy these images too.

Today’s card uses the Sunflower Fields Designer Series Paper (168351) as a backdrop along with the circle punches to highlight the scarecrow. A bit of Neutrals Jute Combo Pack (168468) and Radiant Gems (168363) adds a bit of texture and shine.
