The Stars are Shinning

The Stars are Shinning (156345) is one of those great little sets that make quick and easy cards since it has a punch (156380) that coordinates with it. And right now you can get both items in a bundle (156780), so you save too.

Check out these lovely cards using this bundle of products. This first card uses simple stamping and is monochromatic. It also uses the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper (156329) that I shared with you yesterday.

And how about this card done in non traditional colors?

Heat embossing was used for the stars to make them shine and the White 3/8″ Glittered Organdy Ribbon (156408) add a bit of sparkle. And this final card uses heat embossing again, this time in gold to make the stars shine.

I love the fact that our Stampin’ Emboss Powders (155555) give us 3 great options in every set. So what do you think? Can you see the possibilities? Why not leave me a comment and let me know which card you like best? Then stop by my Online Store and check out this and other holiday crafting items today!

With the Last Chance List starting tomorrow I wanted to remind you about the change Stampin’ Up! is making to items on Back Order. I’ll be posting this list along with my Catalog Walk Through for you later today.

BACK ORDER CHANGES COMING – DECEMBER 1ST

As you may have heard reported in the news, unprecedented shipping and logistics issues have resulted in a global supply chain crisis. This is affecting businesses world-wide and Stampin’ Up! is no exception. Due to extreme difficulties caused by these issues, starting the 1st of December 2021, Stampin’ Up! will no longer take orders for products that are not in stock. In other words, Stampin’ Up! will no longer accept back orders. This change will help to reduce frustrations from unpredictable product availability and allow you to order products that will be delivered right away, rather than products that may not be delivered for months.

If you’d ever like to know if a product is available, please check  my online store  The online store is a great resource to browse products, determine availability, and place orders for in-stock items with me. Pirates & Mermaids

This is a fun new stamp set that is a treasure for birthday and more. The Pirates & Mermaids stamp set (155703) has great images and coordinating sentiments too.

Check out these fun cards using the mermaid perfect for coloring with our Stampin’ Blends for bright, bold colors.

this first card teams up the set with our Checks & Dots Embossing Folders (155432) for a bit of texture. The seaweed image from Smooth Sailing Dies (149576) adds a pop of color and the Layering Circle Dies (151770) draw your attention to the sweet little mermaid. Don’t you love how our products work together?

This next card uses some color as a backdrop, using our Sponge Daubers (133773). On top of the sponging our Decorative Masks (155553) and a bit of Shimmery White Embossing Paste (145645) add a bit of shimmer and creating a cool effect.

And finally this last card uses our Pearlescent Specialty Paper (154291). The Soft Sea Foam Classic Ink has been added using our Blending Brushes (153611).

The little mermaid has been colored and cut in half. She peeks out from 2 slits that have been cut in the Pearlescent Specialty Paper with our Paper Trimmer (152392). Cute, right? And for a bit of texture the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder (154309) has been added to the Basic White Layer on the card front.

So what do you think? Which card is your favorite? As you can see this set is a lot of fun to work with so why not check it out? You’ll find it on page 58 in our Annual Catalog.

LAST CHANCE TO SIGN UP FOR MY JUNE CARD CLASS

Free as a Bird Thank You

I’ve become quite the bird watcher over the years here in Clarkesville, enjoying the hunt for just the right bird in my book as I learned about them. My son built some bluebird boxes years ago and they now dot our fence line around our house – we’ve been lucky enough to have at least a couple of them being used each season that I can watch as I sip coffee in the morning through out the nesting season.

So today’s card was created using the Bird Ballard Suite of products found on pages 90-92 of the 2019 Annual Catalog. The suite is filled with wonderful water colored images and soft colors which is right up my alley.

And since this set is perfect for coloring I reached for my Stampin’ Blends and started to create my own little bluebird.

While I was at it I figured I’d whip up a tutorial for you – so I’ve made a quick video and PDF so you can make some too if you want.
