BINGO fun!!!

This past Sunday I held my first BINGO event – for the Catalog Launch. It was a lot of fun and everyone enjoyed the afternoon. We played 6 games of BINGO and made 3 cards using products from the 2015-2016 Annual Catalog. Want to see what it was all about?

Well, here are some of photos of the classroom set up and ready to go.

Everyone received a little gift and a Make ‘n Take packet that included their BINGO cards, a $5 coupon along with their supplies to use for their projects.

And my Corner Store with kits along with the pre-made cards, post it note pads and garden stakes for Kaitlin’s DCI fundraiser. (She is currently in Oklahoma preparing for tonight’s performance.)

And what event would be complete without some goodies to keep us stamping!

I had fun making our water bottles a bit more festive too. I used the NEW 2015 In Colors Designer Series Paper Stack (138432) and the All About Sugar stamp set (138684). Quick and easy to add this little touch and the refrigerator didn’t cause any problems with the added labels I simply adhered them to the top of the wrapper already on the bottles and voila!.

And of course the BINGO prize table had to have a special touch – so I created this banner for it.

I love our new Build a Banner kit (138379) the shapes are fun and the kit is filled with a ton of stencils to choose from, so the options are endless. And of course, you know how I feel about our Stampin’ Spritzers! I have listed the supplies I used for this project below for you. It got quiet at times as everyone was concentrating,

but I loved the fellowship and fun as everyone was excited for each other as they called out Bingo!

Everyone used buttons as their bingo pieces that were on the table in little Berry Baskets that I created with our die. And of course, our BINGO Master, my hubbie Larry joined in the fun too!

He’s looking forward to the next time we play. He was having a lot of fun with the cage of balls. LOL!

Awesomely Artistic & New Class

Love dragonflies? I’ve been watching them in the evening checking out the pool in our yard. I just love this time of year to sit outside in the evenings and enjoy the activity of fireflies. They have always fascinated me.

Here is a lovely card that I received using the Awesomely Artistic stamp set (138694/139950) and just love the dragonfly image this set contains.

Get Well Soup

Know someone who is under the weather? Check out our single stamp, Get Well Soup (138768). It is a great bold image that makes cards quick and easy when you want to cheer up that sick friend!

Trudy made this fun card and used a simple technique, paper piecing, to create the pattern on the bowl.

What’s paper piecing? It’s simply you simply stamp your image twice. Once on the focal point and then again on the Designer Series Paper, Cherry On Top. Cut out the part you want and adhere it to your image. Sound easy? It’s fun and a great way to add a pop of color to your card!

Elegant is easy to achieve with the Awesomely Artistic stamp set (138694/139950) and a pack of the Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper (138444).

What do you think? I love the look of this card that I received lately in my Black & White swap.

And to make sure you get a clean look when using embossing powder make sure to you your Embossing Buddy. It makes things sooo easy when embossing and eliminates all those little particles that hang around. Have you used an Embossing Buddy before? It’s simple, simply run it across your card stock, stamp and emboss!

While not entirely black & white I think the card is perfect for any occasion!

No Bones about It – Swapping Fun!

Do you like to see what others create? Well I do – an that is part of the fun getting together for our team meetings. Swapping and learning from each other. Here are three of the cards that I swapped last week at the meeting I told you about last Thursday.

This first card was given to me by Susan and it uses the stamp set No Bones About It (138756) and the Go Wild Designer Series Paper Stack (138756).

Fun right? This set is just, well… fun – and I couldn’t resist this great card!

What a great way to use a non holiday set to create your holiday cards!

Watercolor Wings

This is a quick post today since I’ve got tons to do today. But I wanted to share this card with you before I got started. I just love this new stamp set Watercolor Wings – it’s ALOT of fun to play with and since it is a 3 step stamp set and has a set of coordinating framelits dies. Whoo hoo! Lots of combinations can be made. Versatility and butterflies what’s not to love?

This card is one I’m using for my swap tonight at the Stamp Divas team meeting. I love that we get to share ideas with each other and will look forward to sharing the swap cards that I receive with you next week too!

On a personal note – This proud mom wants to share the latest on our marching daughter. We got our first photo from her late last night after her first DCI performance in Seattle with the Cascades. (I can’t tell you how happy we were to get something after 3 weeks of All Days – basically DCI boot camp. LOL)

Look at that huge smile on her face! She is having the experience of a life time. And while I don’t understand entirely why Kaitlin loves to be pushed to her physical limits and stand for hours on end in the hot sun. I’ve got to admire her passion and drive.

So I wanted to say thank you to all of you, my customers and friends, for helping make her dreams come true this summer. Every ready to mail card that you’ve purchase has helped get her to Seattle! Now we just have to get her home from Indianapolis in August.

Of course, it’s an on going fundraiser for Kaitlin and I’ve just added more cards to the box – so if you would like to browse next time you’re in my classroom Kaitlin would appreciate it!

I know some of you aren’t familiar with DCI. So if you are wondering what exactly she is doing – here is a taste of what DCI is all about. Not the best video, but it brought tears to this proud mom’s eyes to see them on the field for their first performance! Now I just have to try and figure out which one she is before they make it to the Atlanta Dome in July!!!

They’ve left Duvall, Washington last night and have hit the road to start their tour. They are doing about 19 cities in 30 days before they get to finals. Right now they are on some gym floor in Oregon sleeping and will perform tonight in the first of their DCI events. Whoo hooo! Isn’t it great to be young and adventurous?

Wild About Flowers

Have you seen the stamp set Wild About Flowers on page 74 of the 2015 Annual Catalog? I caught my eye immediately because of the great sentiments it included.

It’s a wonderful set for those retirement cards we need or even graduation. And since it is a two step stamp set the color options are endless.

I was definitely in a Calypso Coral mood during my team retreat. This is one of several different projects I made using this color.

For this card I teamed it up with our flower pattern from the Subtles Collection Designer Series Paper Stack. (138437). If you’ve never bought a color collection stack before it is a great deal and gives you all kinds of options since there are 4 different patterns in all 10 colors! I love the new patterns that have been introduced this year too. After all who doesn’t like polka dots and stripes? And the script option is great too.

Did you notice the Calypso Coral 1/2″ Seam Binding that I stapled to the top of the Ornate Tag Topper? Yep, you can get this at a deal this week since it is part of the Bonus Weekly Deals this week. But hurry since the price is good only while supplies last!
