A Dozen Thoughts

Todays card is one that I received from my friend Cindy. I just love the colors she used to create this card. The Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper is one of my favorites since I love the colors in it – they are bright and cheerful, don’t you think?  And the greetings in the A Dozen Thoughts stamp set are great for a lot of different occasions too. I especially like the one she used on this card from the set.

Bright Blossom Blueberries – Take 2

Okay, okay, I know I’m a bit OCSD (that’s Obsessive Compulsive Stamping Disorder for those of you who’ve never heard of it before – lol). I couldn’t resist making yesterday’s card again making a change. And I have to say I really do like this one better, the greeting pops just like I thought it would. (You can click here to my first version of the card.) What do you think? Leave me a comment and let me know which one you like best.

Yesterday I promised to show you one of my favorite blueberry recipes using those yummy berries. So here it is – this never lasts long in my house I can already hear my daughter coming – Quick hide the Blueberry Pizza!

Blueberry Pizza

And your going to love how its soooo easy to make.

Blueberry Pizza

1 ¼ c. powdered sugar

1 c. flour

½ c. butter, softened

1 tsp. vanilla

1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened

1 (8 oz.) ctn. Cool whip

2 c. fresh blueberries

In a medium bowl, mix together ¼ cup powdered sugar, flour and butter to a soft dough. Spread the dough onto a 12-inch pizza pan and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until golden. Let cool. In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese, remaining cup of powdered sugar and vanilla. Mix well, then fold in whipped topping. Spread mixture over the cooled crust; top with blueberries. Refrigerate for 2 hours before serving.

I know this recipe is called Blueberry Pizza, but it’s just as yummy if you don’t have a pizza pan if you make it in a 9×13 pan. Enjoy!
