Do you love the first snowfall of the year and the sparkle it brings to the countryside as the sun shines on it? I know growing up in Wisconsin this is one of my strongest memories, the brilliance of the snow as the sun hit it. I actually wore my sunglasses more in the winter than the summer! I guess that is one of the things that always draw me to a snowflake stamp set and the Sparkling Snowflakes stamp set (162158) not only has some lovely 2 step snowflakes but also a coordinating punch too!
Today’s first card uses that lovely Sparkling Snowflakes Tag Topper Punch (162164).
This card uses colors from winter. The Fresh Freesia, Boho Blue, and Pool Party to create a soft winter time feel. It also uses the simple stamp off method to create 2 tones of the same color so that the two step image is darker than the solid image. You can see the small snow flake behind the sentiment that uses this same technique. Ink up the stamp, stamp off on a scratch paper, and then stamp on your project. Just a little tip – You’ll want to do this fully each time since when you stamp off the edge of the card stock you’ll get a line in your image. The Boho Blue 3/8″ Textured Ribbon (161631), Tinsel Gems Three Pack (161624), and Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder (162026) give the card a lot of texture.
This next card is monochromatic and done in Lost Lagoon. One of my favorite new colors added this year.
The sentiment has been punched out using the Double Oval Punch (154242) and has been popped up giving it some depth. The lovely Silver & White 1/2″ Sheer Ribbon (162149) and Faceted Gems Trio Pack (162148) add a bit of shimmer and shine along with texture to the project.
These products are part of the carry over list, but the Sparkling Snowflakes Bundle (162165) discount will be going away since it is only while supplies last or January 3rd when the catalog ends.
