A Fond Farewell to The Open Sea

One of my long time favorites, The Open Sea is on the Retirement List. I love anything nautical and this set provides a lot of versatility and creates wonderful graduation and masculine cards.

Saying Goodbye to Swallowtail

The Swallowtail Background stamp (131943/129216) has been a favorite of mine since it first came out since it lends itself to such fun techniques. And after all who doesn’t love a butterfly.

So today I thought I’d share with you some cards made with this beautiful stamp.

These first couple are ones I’ve made with a quick and easy technique. Simply ink them image up and spritz with some water to blend the colors a bit.

And here are some cards that I’ve received in past swaps.

This last card uses our Scallop Circle Punches that you’ll find on the Retirement List too.

The good news is that while we are saying goodbye to the Swallowtail you can still purchase it for a short time yet. But you’ll want to make sure you order yours before May 22nd since after that, like our accessories it will be while supplies last.

Crazy About You & Team Fun!

Our monthly Team togethers are so much fun! Today’s post is highlights some of the wonderful projects from our team meetings.

This first card is Janie’s and it uses the Crazy About You stamp set (138856/138859/137137)

along with our Bohemian Designer Series Paper (138446), Metallic Gold Baker’s Twine (132975), the coordinating 1 3/4″ Scallop Circle Punch (119854) and Very Vintage Designer Buttons (129327).

And here is a card Deborah made using the A Whole Lot of Lovely Host set (139456) and our 2014-2016 In Color, Blackberry Bliss (133642).

Good news – You can still get the Host set when you place a qualifying order.

Apple of My Eye (140736) and the Curvy Corner Trio Punch (139683) were used by JoAnn to create this cute little treat item.

And Christy made this sweet baby card using the Baby’s First Framelits Dies (133735).

OnStage Fun!

One of the things I love about being a Demonstrator is my Team. I’ve got the most wonderful group of ladies! We have a lot of fun together and of course we enjoy sharing our love of stamping. Like tonight, were getting together to share in the fun of the 2016 Annual Catalog unveiling and watch the OnStage Online.

I’m pampering my team with dinner and make n takes while we watch the OnStage Online together. It’s going to be one big PJ party!!!

You Little Furball

Everyone has a cat lover they know and this little set is perfect for making a special card for them.

This bright and cheerful card uses the Folded Frame Technique. If you’d like to see my video tutorial for making the frame you can click HERE. I’m sad to see the Diagonal Score Board on the Retirement List (but you can get it at a really great price while the supplies last.) I love using it for this technique – it makes it so quick and easy!

Cute right? I chose to add a border from the Dotty Angles stamp set because it reminded me of cat treats. LOL!

Several of the items that I used to create this card are on the Retirement List and are while supplies last, but the stamp self is available until May 22nd and after that while supplies last. You can see my complete supply list below for this card.

And here is a version done in Smoky Slate and Blackberry Bliss that also uses the Folded Frame.

And finally another card done in Melon Mambo and Basic Gray. Can you see the cute little pearl tag on the collar?

A Little Bit of Lovin’

Monday Larry and I celebrated my 29th Wedding Anniversary. (I know I can’t believe it either. How did that happen? Since I’m only 29, I must have been a child bride LOL!!) And so I thought I’d share some great love themed swaps that I’ve received.

This first one is from Irene and I love the way she used the Number of Years Bundle (140811) with the Bloomin’ Heart Thinlits Die (140621).

While this card is for that special Silver Anniversary, I think the layout is perfect for any year. Just change up the colors and you’re sure to make an impression!

This second card I made in a shoe box swap and it uses the You’re So Sweet stamp set (138682/139440).

And this card from the Shoe box swap uses the Everything Eleanor (131987/124164) and Butterfly Basics sets (138813/138816/137154). I think it would make a lovely wedding or bridal shower card. How about you?

And finally another Anniversary card that was given to me by Donna. I love the way she used the Bird Builder Punch (117191) and Woodgrain Embossing Folder (127821) to create the look of wood the bird is peaking out of.

The cute little flowers are from the Tree Builder Punch (138295).

Honeycomb Hello & More

Do you love the English Garden Designer Series Paper with it’s soft water colored images? Well if you do you’re going to love these first two shoe box swaps that are combined with different stamps sets.

This second card was designed by Michelle, but it uses the Garden in Bloom stamp set (139443). And is done with a White Vellum over lay which gives it an even softer more feminine feel.

And how about the card Marni brought to the shoe box? Love the hostess sets in our Annual Catalog? This one was made using the Best Thoughts set (139169).

Look Who’s Turning 17!

Don’t you love birthdays? I know I do and when I made this card yesterday for a special young man I wanted something bright and cheerful – so of course I reached for the Brights Collection.

I wanted something bold so I chose the stripped pattern from the stack. And since it was for a dude I went straight to the blues and chose the Pacific Point pattern to stay with the primary color theme I had in my mind.

I just love the versatility of the Number of Years stamp set since it covers almost everything. And the fact it has coordinating Framelit Dies…. Well as a Big Shot lover, do I need to say more? Bundle (140811) them and you’ll save 15%. Whoo hoo! Got to love that.
