More Berry Blessings

During this cold winter weather it’s always fun to see the bright reds and blues of berries in my local grocery stores. It’s a sign and promise of what is to come and warmer weather. I’ve had blueberry bushes in my yard for years and always enjoy seeing those little bell shaped blossoms. I was surprised years ago while sitting in our local extension service class learning how to install the bushes to learn all the benefits of those little sticks we were going to pick up. After a few years not only did our bushes at our old house beginning give a bounty of berries they were pretty year round too. Even in the fall the leaves turn bright red before they fall off. How about you? Are you dreaming of soft summer breezes and fresh sweet berries from the yard?

Check out these lovely cards made using the Berry Blessings Stamp set and Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper (Sale-a-bration 157613). This first one uses a fun fold and our Misty Moonlight and Balmy Blue.

More Berry Blessings

And this next one uses Real Red to create these yummy raspberries. A bit of our Champagne Foil sheets and Basic Pearls adds a bit of shine.

And this last card is a fun way to use scraps,

So what do you think? Which card do you like best?

I love the landscape option for cards. Do you find you tend to gravitate toward landscape or portrait layouts? Back in High School my art teacher, Mr. Panaro pointed out to me that every time he gave us an option my choice always was landscape. While that was many years ago that observation still rings true. I try to create with the portrait layout in mind too, which is part of what I love about this Mix It Up Series, it always us to stretch and try new things. Have you ever noticed you tend to gravitate towards a certain layout more? Why not leave me a comment and let me know?

Enjoy! Looks like it will be a good weekend to stay inside and craft a little, but then any time is a good time to craft a little if you ask me!

Dragonfly Garden Mix It Up Series #1 final Tutorial

Today marks the end of my Mix It Up Series Series #1 and it’s final project. This week I’ve been sharing with you cards all made with the same pieces, just mixed up. This technique is a fun and quick way to create cards quickly. Whether your new to stamping or a avid crafter like myself you’ll find this series a great way to craft.

Today’s card once again uses the classic Misty Moonlight and Bumblebee combination. Since it uses just 2 ink pads it’s a great way to start building your color collection. And since they both are part of our 2020-2022 In Color Collection you can choose our Cardstock Assortment pack since it contains all 5 colors in the In Color collection.

Done in a landscape layout it with simple stamping – this sentiment is a great way to spread some cheer.

Here is my video tutorial and a printable PDF also for you. Did you know that each of my PDF tutorials not only gives you a complete supply list, measurements, and step by step directions as a companion to the video but it also includes the YouTube link? Yep, they do – that makes it simple to keep everything in one place!

Mix it Up with Dragonfly Garden

Today I’ll be sharing the first card tutorial in a series of tutorials. It’s a series of tutorials that I’m calling – Mix It Up. All the cards in this Series use the same pieces in different ways. So you can cut once and create multiple cards. I had hoped to share this concept that was introduced to us at OnStage@Home last year, but after I filmed and downloaded things they got lost in my computer. I didn’t realize it until I was cleaning up things in my classroom. Sigh. But the good news is I’m sharing them with you now.

So here is the first card in Series #1 – there will be 3 different tutorials in each Series

This series of cards is done in Misty Moonlight and Bumblebee Classic Ink – a classic color combo.

I’ve got a video and PDF for each of the cards in the series –

And if your wondering you can get a bunch of dragonflies out of this stack of Designer Series Paper – here is a quick look at how I cut it to get the most out of the sheet when using the punch.

Enjoy and then stop back by tomorrow when I’ll be sharing the second of 3 cards with you.

Supplies:

Stamp Set: Dragonfly Garden (*154411)

Inks: Misty Moonlight (153118/153124) and Bumblebee Classic Ink (153116/153122)

Paper: Dandy Garden 6×6 Designer Series Paper (154297), Misty Moonlight (153081), Bumblebee (153077), and Basic White Card stock (159276)

Accessories: Dragonflies Punch (*154240)

Sale-a-bration’s Berry Blessings Bundle

If you love berries, you’ll love this coordinating bundle of products that you can earn for free during Sale-a-bration with a minimum purchase. After all, who wouldn’t love this set and papers filled with wonderful images and sentiments.

Pair it up with the Sweet Strawberry bundle (156214) found on page 44 in the Mini Catalog and you’ve got even more choices to create tasty projects!

Check out these wonderful projects using this Sale-a-bration option. This first card teams up Granny Apple Green and Rich Razzleberry. A bit of shimmer was added to the card with the Fine Art 3/8″ Ribbon (154561) and it’s gold threads.

Blueberries, what can I say – one of my favorite berries with their deep rich colors. As a child I use to eat these right out of the freezer as a treat! Or toss them frozen into some vanilla yogurt and you’ve got a special treat kind of like ice cream, but better.

This card has our Square Vellum Doilies (152484) found on page 153 in our Annual Catalog. These doilies are so easy to add color too with our Blending Brushes (153611) and a Classic Ink Pad, like this one done in Rich Razzleberry.

And this last card shows off the beautiful Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper that is part of this bundle.

The 1/4″ Whisper White Seam Crinkled Binding Ribbon (151326) has also been colored, this time with Poppy Parade. I just love the fact we can add our favorite colors to our accessories so easily!

Well what do you think? Can you taste the berries?

And did you know that the Berry Blessings Stamp set and Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper is one of our most popular Sale-a-bration choices? Why not enjoy this bundle yourself? You’ll want to hurry since this exclusive bundle will disappear soon! Sale-a-bration ends on February 28th this year, not March like it has in the past.

Stop back by tomorrow when I’ll be sharing a card tutorial with you using the Dragonfly Garden bundle.

Until then enjoy!

Team Time Highlight

Today I’m highlights birthday cards that my team members made for our January Team Meeting card swap. There is always such a great variety of styles. It’s a lot of fun to see what everyone is using from their stash.

This first card uses our lovely True Love Designer Series Paper (154281) and the Quite Curvy Bundle (156228) of products.

I really like how Cindy chose to color the Black & White True Love Designer Series Paper with our Petal Pink 154893) and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends (154890) to make it her own. And this next card combines products to coordinate together to create a lovely beach themed card.

The sponged background is stamped using the High Tide stamp set (143006) while Wanda used the Friends are Like Seashells Bundle (156205) for the foreground images and sentiment. I love the way the Cajun Craze shell is embossed with the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder (154309) and Clear Wink of Stella (141897) was added. Do you recognize the punch used for the sentiment? It’s the Story Label Punch (150076) found in our Annual Catalog. Mixing products and the coordination we have is one of the things I love about Stampin’ Up! and their products!

This next card is a fun fold called a Triple Fold Card. Sue uses the Forevery Greenery Designer Series Paper (152492) and Forever Gold Laser Cut (152493) to highlight the sentiment on the belly band from the Friend Like You stamp set (149237).

Inside there’s a bit of stamping too using the image from the Forever Fern stamp set (152559).

Shirley also chose the Forever Fern stamp set for her card. This card was stamped in Blackberry Bliss (147092) and Mossy Meadow Classic Inks (147111)

And the simple panel technique highlights the stamping.

For the last project I’m sharing today I have a beautiful curtain card using the free Sale-a-bration Designer Series Paper, Flower & Field (155223).

This paper with it’s bold patterns and colors make it just beautiful. And did you know that when you choose $50 in product you can earn this for free? There are tons of products in our Sale-a-bration brochure that you can choose from! Earlier this week I highlight 2 others for you in my tutorials.
