New Blendabilities coming soon

Whoo hoo! Stampin’ Up! will be introducing a new line of markers, Blendabilities – these markers should be available before the end of the first quarter (March 31st). Each set of markers will include 3 alcohol based markers that will come in a light, medium, and dark tone.

In addition to the colors shown, there will be a skin tone color along with an “oops” marker. These markers will NOT replace our Stampin’ Write Markers; they are Alcohol based markers.

Stampin’ Up! will also be introducing a black stamp pad that works with our alcohol based markers.

I’ll be announcing more information about a Blendabilities Club as soon as I get more information. You can put your name on the Blendabilities Club list now to hold your spot – since I expect spots to fill up quickly.

NEW Personalized Photopolymer Circle Stamps

Coming January 28th these new Photopolymer “Circle” stamps will be perfect for personalizing for special events such as weddings, showers, and to use as gifts. You’re going to love these stamps for address labels too – I can’t wait for you to see them!

Also, announced Stampin’ Up! will start making the photopolymer stamps in the Kanab Utah plant beginning mid year. And just like all our other stamps they will begin to package them in clear mount cases – whoo hoo! Even better, they’ll be scented so they’ll smell good too. (That’s right – I know you’re thinking how we all love to sniff that StazOn pad when we open it!) LOL

NEW Technique Clubs are Forming

Would you like to join a group of stampers that meet monthly?

Would you like to learn more stamping techniques and earn FREE products?

Then you should join my Technique Club

Here’s how it works:

Five people sign up to participate.
These five club participants meet for club once a month for 5 months.
Club members will take turns acting as the hostess.
Club members agree to spend at least $30 at each of the classes.

Here are the details:

At each technique class, you will learn a technique that you can use in your stamping projects. You will be making a card and a 6″ x 6″ technique card for future reference.
All members of the club will take a turn as hostess.
As hostess, you may choose to have other friends or family attend your class to increase your sales and the Hostess dollars you earn. You may also collect orders from those family and friends who cannot attend your class.
Your guests are always FREE during your hostess month or you can host a private party.

When you join the club, you will become part of my Hostess Club, which entities you to special Stamp Camp Discounts and Events, in addition you will receive the current 2013-2014 Catalog (209 pages of stamping ideas!), two Mini Catalogs, FREE HOSTESS SHOPPING DOLLARS to spend at your party & your choice of EXCLUSIVE “HOSTESS ONLY” ITEMS based on the total sales of your party, 5 FREE TECHNIQUE CLASSES, PLUS friendships & idea sharing with other stampers in a relaxed environment.

News from the Holiday Catalog Premiere Party

Yesterday I held my Holiday Catalog Premiere Party – I always enjoy these events and sharing with you. I really appreciate you, my customers. You are the ones who allow me to share my love of stamping with you and I couldn’t do it without you!

I thought those of you who were not able to make it might enjoy seeing some pictures. So this first photo is the display table. The one side held all the goodies from the Holiday Catalog so that you could look, touch, and feel just how great the new products are. Isn’t it always better to see it in person? And the other side held my upcoming class samples.

This second photo is one of the goodie table. Can you believe I remembered to take a picture before everyone dug in – LOLl!

We enjoyed some Christmas cookies, warm carmel apple cider, and hot cocoa cupcakes. Considering it was almost 80 here in Clarkesville that seemed a bit odd – So I felt really special that my stamping friends chose to spend a beautiful fall afternoon with me stamping.

I just love the way these cute little cupcakes turned out – I found this idea on Pinterest and thought it was just too stinking cute.

The candy cane makes the little handle of the mug. And since it seems I’m hooked on cupcakes this year and filling this cupcake stand I found while bumming earlier this year, they seemed perfect for the occasion.

This final photo is one of the group stamping. Everyone stamped two different projects. One to take with them and then one for the Caring with Cards Program – afterwards they chose which charity they wanted their card to go. They could choose from four – Hospice, Holiday for Heroes, Operation Write Home and the Ronald McDonald House.

The second project which I’ll share with you later this week was a Christmas card that I created using Warmth & Wonder, one of our Hostess Sets from the Holiday Catalog. I thought it would be fun to use one of the Hostess sets since during the month of October Hostesses can earn an extra $25 in FREE merchandise for just holding a qualifying party! I originally planned to post the little gift that I gave everyone in today’s post that included the tutorial. But unfortunately Windstream had different ideas (curse, latency issues – they make uploading my videos difficult some days.)

Modern Medley Dry Erase Calendar

Last Friday I told you I would show you another project that I made for Kaitlin’s dorm room message center – well here is the Modern Medley Dry Erase Calendar along with the magnetic board to complete her college message center.

I really like the way this turned out. I used My Digital Studio to create the calendar you see. I just love the way that you are able to use a built in template and easily customize it the way you want. I even used the matching digital version of our Rich Razzleberry Designer Series Paper for the blocks on the calendar. I just changed the opacity so it gave her a hint of the color, and added special things to the days that she already knew about to save her time.

Kaitlin can easily change out the calendar each month by opening the flap on the back of the frame and inserting the new month – quick and easy for her versus the original dry erase board she wanted at the local big box store that she would have to write everything in on herself. With her busy schedule she needs easy and since it coordinated with her other items – she loved it!

Here is a view of her dorm room wall with her message center completed above her desk. The paint on the wall was giving (our approved for use) command hooks fits and nothing would stick, so we got creative with some matching Rich Razzleberry ¼” Stiched Grosgrain Ribbon (item 126876) and thumb tacks to hang them with.

On a personal note – I want to thank everyone who sent their prayers, thoughts, and get well wishes to my husband who had an ATV accident on the way to the barn Friday night. It was something he does all the time, but for some reason this time the quick chore didn’t end well. Larry ended up being thrown from the ATV, bending like a pretzel, and hitting his head. Thankfully after a quite a few tests and a full check up in the ER he was sent home with a mild concussion. He is a bit bruised and sore but otherwise doing well so far. We feel blessed since he was extremely lucky and it wasn’t worse.

Here is a picture of the fort he tangled with – I think he is planning to walk to the barn for a while.

Holiday Catalog Organization
