More Swaps & New Weekly Deals

Today I’ll be sharing some more of the swaps I received. This first card from Geralyn uses the No Bones About It stamps set (138756) and is bright and cheerful.

While clean and simple on the outside it packs a wonderful surprise on the inside.

I love the way Geralyn used the Tree Builder Punch (138295) and Fringe scissors (133325) to give a panorama feel to this card.

This next card from Joyce and uses the Garden in Bloom stamp set (139433).

And of course, Irene created a great card using the Guy Greetings stamp set (138825/138828/137178) and the 2015-2017 Envelope Paper (138312).

Isn’t it great that you can use our Envelope Paper for all kinds of different things? While the weight is much lighter than our regular Designer Series Paper you still get wonderful patterns in each package!

And this final card is from Jenny and it uses the Gift from the Garden stamp set (138718/139356).

This set is perfect for those of us who love to garden or have someone in their lives who do.

Celebrate Today

Today’s card is one that I made at special request – It celebrates 100 years of life! I wanted it to be fun and colorful so I made it over sized and a shaker card!

I used the Celebrate Today stamp set (137138) and our Hostess set, Happy Birthday, Everyone (139171/139958) to create the card. And our fun new Brights Sequin Assortment, after all they were calling out to be used for this project!

This over sized card measures 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and since we have our envelope punch board an envelope for this special card won’t be a problem.

Age Awareness Day

Check out these three fun cards using the Age Awareness stamp set found on page 10 in the Annual Catalog that I received in a recent swap. While they all use the same stamp set they look totally different! Isn’t that part of the fun of stamping?

This first card is from Jackie and uses our 6″ x 6″ Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack (138442) along with the Melon Mambo 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon (138431).

Jackie used not only the Age Awareness but also the flower image from the Birthday Blossoms stamp set that I shared with you yesterday.

Here is another card that I received from Olivia –

Olivia used the Cherry on Top Washi Tape (138384) to jump start her color pallet.

And my final card is a black & white classic

Using our Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack (138435) and Silver Glimmer Paper (135314) it adds a clean and classic look that has a bit of pizzazz.

What do you think? Black & White is such a classic combination and I think this card that I received in a swap Jackie is sweet.

Did you know that we now have a Whisper White Thick Card stock (140272) option when creating cards and using a card base of Whisper White? I think you’ll really love the choice and this card stock weight when making your cards bases. It has a wonderful feel to it and makes the card much more substantial feeling. A Definitely Dahlia Birthday

Today is my Great Aunt’s 94 birthday and so I wanted to make a bright and cheerful card that would bring a smile to her face.

A one of a kind card for a one very special lady. As a child I can remember her being a dynamo of energy and strength. My Uncle owned a bus company and was an auctioneer and my Aunt Pearl was right there by his side working along with him in addition to taking care of the house and children. I can even remember her driving my Kindergarten bus route! What a great example of what women could do! Nothing slowed her down and she is still like that even at 94. Do you have anyone like that in your life?

Check out this great black & white card that I received in a recent swap from Trudy using the Wild about Flowers stamp set (138728).

On a personal note it’s been crazy hectic, but wonderful last few days with both our daughter, Kaitlin and my sister in town. It was the first opportunity for us to see Kaitlin since she left for the Seattle Cascades back in June and her hug was intense when I saw her on Friday morning at South Cobb High School where they were staying and practicing.

As you can see big smiles all around so I guess she misses us. It was also the first opportunity for me to see the corp in action. It was really quite interesting to see them working – and they are working hard in Hotlanta as they referred to it. I hated to tell them it’s been a cool summer so far for the most part. LOL

They performed at the Atlanta Dome on Saturday and received their highest score to date!

Larry was sooo excited to see the kid – he’s a proud dad and is counting down the last 2 weeks of tour.

We’ve also been enjoying the beautiful North Georgia Mountains with my sister, Mandy. She loves the water falls around the area and was able to fit three in this trip. Here is a group shot at Anna Ruby Falls near Helen.

It was a nice Sunday afternoon hike. Even our son Johnathan took a break from his buggy and joined us for this side trip.

I’ll be back on track later this week and look forward to sharing some more of the swaps that I’ve received. So many great ideas!
