Frightfully Cute

With the weather cooling a bit here in North Georgia this week it makes me think that Halloween isn’t far off. So today I thought I’d share with you some fun card made with the Frightfully Cute stamp set (156493). This stamp set not only has some great images and sentiment but has coordinating Frightful Tag Dies (156492) that cut out some fun images too to work with the set.

This first card uses a fun fold with the Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper (156479)

making full use of this wonderful paper – open it and you’ll get a colorful surprise!

And since Highland Heather and Granny Apple Green make a fun statement during Halloween, check out this next card.

The Basic Border Dies (155558) add some texture and interest to this card that uses simple stamping to convey it’s holiday message.

Fun? I love this time of year with the change in season and look forward to those little faces dressed up for Halloween. I have such fond memories from not only my childhood but from my children’s costumes I enjoyed making too.

Counting Sheep & Sale-a-bration

We have just a few more weeks before Sale-a-bration ends and there is still time to get your favorite Sale-a-bration products. Today’s post shares one of my favorite stamp sets, Counting Sheep (156591). I guess it has something to do with their sweet little faces, childhood connections, after all who hasn’t counted sheep to fall asleep? And of course, the show my son has had me binge earlier this summer – it’s about this guy who decides to run his own farm during the lock down and is filled with ideas about farming. One of his idea was sheep, as I haven’t had lamb with mint sauce since I was a child and grew up in dairy country I had never thought farming and sheep before so I learned a few things along the way in addition to something about England too. Anyhow…

Today’s cards are done in neutral tones, a perfect foil for this farm animal fun.

These cards also use the coordinating Sale-a-bration product Sheep Dies (156600) that coordinate with the set. I love the fact we have die options this Sale-a-bration, have you checked them all out? There is even one that coordinates with a stamp set from the Annual Catalog. And they work with our Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine making them great for beginner stampers too.

Clever Cats

Are you a cat lover? If so then these fun little images and sentiments found in the Clever Cats stamp set (156490) will make you smile.

See what I mean? I especially love the one jammed into a box! How relatable is that? When Larry and I were first married we had 2 cats Tiger and Boots. Tiger was a cuddler who loved to get into a box I kept on top of my frig along with my bread on the counter, so I resorted to putting it in a Tupperware container for bread. While Tiger is no longer with us I still have the bread container with all of it’s teeth marks from where he would pry the lid off while I was at work. LOL And the other cat looks just like Boots, (a black and white tuxedo) the expression is perfect – This image reminds me of him running his paws down our metal blinds in the morning on the weekends when we tried to sleep in a little. Boots wouldn’t have any of that, he wanted his breakfast. At over 15 pounds Boots always made his presence and desires known. How about you have a cat story of your own?

These first 2 cards are done for Halloween. The Pattern Party Designer Series Paper (155426) adds some fun color with it’s polka dots and the Birch Background stamp (149256) has been used on the Highland Heather layer to create some interest and texture.

And how about this card using the Stacked Stone Background stamp (152556) to create the wall that is topped with the fun Black Glitter Paper (153518)?

And here is just a fun card for those cat lovers

The Layering Circle Dies (151770) have been used to cut scallop circles from the Ombre Specialty Paper (155784) found in the Annual Catalog to had some fun glimmer and quirky sentiment. And this last card is for the Holiday Season with it’s Sweet Stocking Designer Series Paper (156281) filled with little light bulbs for the tree. How many of us have watched our cat hiding in the tree only to jump out and pull all the decorations with the lights?

I know I have, I can tell you it didn’t take me long to replace those glass ornaments on our tree that Tiger would love to bat around when he got bored in the night while we slept!

Ahh, our 4 legged family. They hold a special place in our hearts.

I wanted to share my class schedule today with you for the next few months to help you plan and get ready for the holiday season.

My monthly card classes will work as they normally do, but my special events such as my Stamp A Stack and Gift Workshop will have a simple class fee.

Remember to get a FREE Card class, it is just a minimum purchase using the Host Code announced at class sign up. I’ll provide a supply list for the online option as always, or if you would like your own set for class.

Classic Cloche

If you like to build scenes or like snow globes the Classic Cloche might be something that will peak your interest.

This stamp set gives you the ability not only to build scenes, but also add a 3D effect with our Cloche Shaker Domes too.

Why not check out these lovely cards made with this set? This first card uses the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper (155841) as a simple backdrop for the dome and sentiment.

The sentiment is highlighted with the Label Me Fancy Punch (151297) and the Shimmery Crystal Effects (150892) along with a bit of 1 1/2″ Metallic Mesh Ribbon (153550) adds a bit of sparkle to this card. And this next card teams up our Misty Moonlight and Balmy Blue for a lovely musical effect.

Not only does the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder (156392) add some texture to the background of this card, but the lovely Wintery 3D Embossing Folder (155433) adds a bit of wintery effect to the dome above the village. How cool is that?

Highlight on Sale-a-bration’s Delicate Dahlias

Today I thought I would highlight one of the most popular stamp sets from the Sale-a-bration brochure. It is a level 2 product that packs a punch.

Filled with our 2 step images that are done in the DistINKtive style this flower is simply lovely any way you stamp it. Check out these lovely cards made using this set. This first card uses the line images and some simple water coloring to create this soft look.

The background has been dry embossed with the Bark 3D Embossing Folder (155431) to add a bit of texture. And this next card also uses the line image.

Done in bright bold colors inspired by the Expressions in Ink Designer Series Paper (155464) and using our Layering Circles Dies (151770) and Gold Shimmer Ribbon (156470) that can be found the Mini Catalog.

How about some 2 step stamping? These next two cards use the 2 step stamping to create these images. This first card uses the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper (155841) to create a backdrop creating a country feel along with a simple masking technique.

The Bumblebee and it’s Gingham Ribbon (153658) just draw you into this nature inspired card. And this next card was combines Bumblebee and Misty Moonlight. Two colors that are part of our 2020 In Color Collection.

The Designer Series Paper is from the Pansy Petals (155807) pack of paper. I just love the simplicity of this card with the sentiment saying it all.

Well Defined

The Well Defined stamp set is a bit different than or regular fare, it’s a sentiment set that is set up in a dictionary style look. This set includes all kinds of words for the fall and winter along with a nice to and from making it a great choice for tags also.

Check out this soft and lovely card made using the gratitude greeting from the set.

It’s got a soft and lovely feel to it and since it is using the Soft Succulent pattern from the Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper. The paper has a delicate font in the background talking about the things in nature, fall, and harvest to continue the theme.

Monochromatic cards like this are a lot of fun and can be very creative too. I think you’ll love the soft look of layering the and the Vellum card stock has been dry embossed with the Thanks folder from the set of 2 embossing folders. Not only does it add texture and interest it pairs up well with the sentiment that is highlight by the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. Don’t you love the way our products coordinate?
