Merry Christmas Everyone

Just a quick Merry Christmas to all of you – today’s post includes my Christmas Card that I sent out this year. Don’t you just love these little Frosty Friends? I couldn’t resist them when I saw them in the Holiday Catalog and knew they’d make my own cards special for family and friends.

Frosty Friends

Here is a photo of my Hubby with Chewie and Yoda that I couldn’t resist sharing with you. Larry recently played Santa at the Gwinnett Animal Shelter (taking photos with pets). He couldn’t not have a photo of our two dogs so he brought the suit home for a quick shot our two. (Yes, the one of the right looking too cute is the little culprit form my earlier tree skirt post.)

I hope you and your families have a safe and wonderful Christmas and a joyous New Year. Thank you for a wonderful year, I look forward to stamping with you in 2013!

Last Minute Christmas Gifts

We’ll its busy around the house today getting ready for Christmas but I wanted to share with you a few things quickly.

First I wanted to share a couple of the wonderful cards that my stamping friends have sent me. This first card is from Randy and uses one of our retired stamp sets Scenic Season which she embossed in Silver. Don’t you love the way that Stampin’ Up! items work together! It doesn’t matter if it has been retired for a while or brand new.

Scenic Season

Mary made this card using the Bird Builder Punch

And this last card was made by Janie. I love the way that Janie used our Early Espresso Core’dinations paper from the Holiday Catalog. She ran the punched Scallop Oval pieces through the Big Shot first using the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder and then used our White Emboss Powder to add the “snow” on the cones. Isn’t it great a great technique?

Core'dination Pine Cones

All of them are so great that I’ve also posted some on my facebook page – so you can see more cards there. (Just type in Stamp with Jini and become my friend.)

And now for my gift items – Saturday I shared with you my Peppermint Stick Sugar Scrub gift item that I made for my family and friends. Today I thought I would share with you the matching bags I made to go along with them. I really like the way they turned out and using our wonderful Designer Rosette Die made the rosettes so quick and easy! If you missed my Peppermint Stick Sugar Scrub post you can click HERE to read more about it.

And last but not least my husband saw all the goodies I was making and decided that he wanted to give some to his co workers too. Of course I made chocolate tents for the guys and the ladies will receive these cute notepads.

Festival of Prints notepads

I used our Festival of Prints DSP Stack from the Holiday Catalog to cover them and then used our punches for focal point which includes their initial. I hope the ladies will enjoy them. Here’s a close up.

Did you notice something special about this little notepad? It contains a sneak peek of one of our FREE Sale-a-bration items! You’re going to love this ribbon from our Sycamore Street Ribbon and Button Pack!

Holiday Frame Embossing Folder

I love our Holiday Frame Embossing Folder in the Holiday Catalog.  It makes a great card front. Here are two quick and easy cards that I received in a swap.

This first card from Carol Gatton uses the Joyous Celebrations stamp set and Dazzling Details on the Holiday Frame Embossing folder. Can you see the glimmer?

Colleen Dewey gave me this next card I love the “bling” that the Champaign Glimmer Paper gives it! Do you love our Champaign Glimmer Paper (item #127885 $4.95) in the Holiday Catalog? I know I do and it’s a great addition to the Red (item #121790) and Silver Glimmer (item #124005) Papers from our 2012 Catalog (page 160).

Remember items in our Holiday Catalog are only available for a limited time. So why not get your favorite Holiday Catalog items now before its too late. Items are only available until January 2nd.

Chock-Full of Cheer Mittens

Mittens always make me think of my Grandma since she was always bundling me up for those cold winter days in Wisconsin where I grew up. As she wrapped the scarf around my neck I was always worried I wouldn’t be able to move.  The memory makes me smile every time I think of myself and my siblings waddling out of the house to go play.

So when I saw the Chock Full of Cheer stamp set with its cute little mitten and the matching Mitten Builder Punch it made me think of those childhood memories. How about you? Do you have a special memory that includes mittens?

Here is a great card made with the Chock Full of Cheer stamp set that I received during a Regional swap from Karen Paramore during the Chattanooga Regional earlier this fall.

Chock-Full of Cheer

And another card that uses our Mitten Builder Punch. Remember when your mittens were attached like this with a cord so you wouldn’t lose one? Hmm…maybe I’m dating myself. Maybe Beth Siegel who gave me this card remembers them too.

Ornament Keepsakes

Today I’m sharing with you a card my TEAM member Janie created using the Ornament Keepsakes Bundle for our last meeting.  I know I’m sharing this a few days late – but better late than never right? (Fortunately or unfortunately, however you look at it, late last night I realized that I never hit send on this post and it was just waiting to be published – oops!)

Ornament Keepsakes

I think the card is fantastic, don’t you? Janie used the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set as the focal point of this card along with the wonderful Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack. A steal at just $6.95 for 48 4 ½” x 6 ½” sheets!

As we were putting the card together and having so much fun, Cindy thought it would be great to step it up by taking the original watermark concept on the ornament by adding gold embossing powder too. The results were striking don’t you think? And with the “bling” of our wonderful Champagne Glimmer Paper – it was a wow moment!

Googly Ghouls Regional Swaps

Halloween is right around the corner and I wanted to share with you some of my favorite swaps that I received from the Chattanooga Regional over the next few days.

I’m sorry to say I don’t know who made these two cards since they didn’t sign the back.  Both of these cards use the Googly Ghouls stamp set from the Holiday Catalog.  The little characters in this set are just so sticking cute! And when you add our coordinating Googlies self adhesive googly eyes they are a lot of fun.

This first one I thought was really different and striking. It uses our Big Shot and the Tasteful Trim Die along with the Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kit. I love the way Boooo sentiment has the Googlies added to it.

This second card also uses the Goggly Ghouls bat image along with one of my favorite sets, Wicked Cool from the 2012-2013 Catalog. Notice the Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP she used?

Gift Bags for Regionals

Yesterday I showed you my Tic Tac Regional goodie for my room mates. You can click HERE to see that post. Well I was having so much fun making Regional roomie gift items for my TEAM that I thought I would make a cute bag to hold everything for them. So here is what I came up with.

Now, I thought I was being smart by just varying the tissue paper in the two gift bags. However, I quickly realized that since I personalized the notebooks with their initials I wasn’t going to remember which bag was which. My CRS, as my kids call it, was kicking in big time. Sooo.. I got to thinking about bag tags making it easy to identify their individual gifts. Voila! I found my extra stash of name tags that I’ve used before (when I made tags for my daughter’s birthday gift of luggage this past spring) and came up with these cute little fall themed tags for the bags.

My TEAM loved them and quickly moved them to their bags they were taking to the Regional that held their swaps.

Here is a close up of the tags. What do you think?

Here are the finished bags with tags – front and back.

and here is my TEAM member Janie getting her bag

and my downline Cindy opening her notebook when we arrived in Chattanooga at our hotel Friday night.

I’ve got such a great TEAM and we have such fun stamping together! The fellowship of stamping is one of the best parts that I love about the Stampin’ Up! experience.
