Do you have a Stampin’ Trimmer?

The Retirement List will be available Monday, April 15th  and the Stampin’ Trimmer will be included on the list along with all it’s accessories

  • Our Stampin’ Trimmer is Retiring, so if you need Blades or any other accessories, purchase them now before they sell out.

Right now you can order 3 sets of replacement blades per order. Starting April 15th, this number will increase to 6. Then over the next few months, there will be small batches of inventory arriving and it’s anticipated to be depleted rapidly. When those few small batches are sold out, that will be the end of this product line. (All items will be turned off and back on in my Online Store as shipments arrive. Stampin’ Up! will not be doing back orders for these items.)

Big Changes are coming and I’m so excited!

I’ll be sharing more about this when I return from OnStage next week, so I’m going to keep this short, but I wanted you to hear it from me so you know what is happening before Monday’s Retirement List posts.

  • The Big Shot will NOT be in the NEW 2019 Annual Catalog and WILL be on the Retirement List. (Good news and no worries tho, dies and folders will still work with any new system that Stampin’ Up! introduces)

This announcement DOES NOT mean that the entire product line of dies and folders are also being discontinued. There will be some  that are retiring with the catalog as normal.

This happens every year, but some will also carry over into the 2019 Annual Catalog.

  • Our Dies and Folders will be changing and be the high quality you have come to expect from Stampin’ Up!, and they will have new shorter names. Yippie!

On the Monday, April 15th the Retirement List will come out. We already know that the 2017-2019 In Colors will definitely be on that list, and the items listed above. If these are items you want, PLEASE don’t wait until the 15th!

Modern Medley Dry Erase Board

Today I thought I would show you a dry erase board project that I made for my daughter’s dorm door using the Modern Medley Designer Series Paper. I thought this would be a fun way for her friends to leave her notes when they needed to and she was out.

Modern Melody Dry Erase Board

Kaitlin is a music major and so I wanted to not only tie in her interest but also her dorm room color scheme. So to create this dry erase board I used our Modern Medley Designer Series Paper along with our great Regals Color Collections Designer Series Paper Stacks. Added some of our great letters from the Typeset Alphabet Die and voila’!

We got to meet up with Kaitlin this weekend for her Drum Core performance at the Southern Showdown. A few of her old high school friends went along with us, so before I packed the dry erase board into her box, I had them leave some messages on it for her – It worked great and I thought that the messages from her friends would be a nice surprise when she opened the box.

A few of her friends also helped me pick out the final element that you see at the bottom– a greeting from one of our retired stamp sets, Music Speaks. I just loved the sentiment “Music speaks the beauty words cannot express!” Originally I had wanted to put “notes” on the Decorative Label Punch. Get it? Music Major – notes?

I made several different versions of the Decorative Labels that she can swap out since I couldn’t decide which one I liked best. (I just tucked them in the back after adding a little of our Multipurpose Liquid Glue (item 110755) and allowing it to dry so that it was like a post it note.

Kaitlin CV Southern Showdown

It was great seeing her for a couple of hours and Larry and I were really proud of her. CV not only placed first in this competition, but in the Southern Region and broke their own record for highest score. A big deal if your familiar with marching.

Supplies:

Paper:  Modern Medley Designer Series Paper (item 126926), Regals Collection Designer Series Paper Stack (item 130139), Rich Razzleberry, Island Indigo and Basic Black

Accessories: Decorative Label Punch (item 120907), Stampin’ Write Markers, Typeset Alphabet Dies (item 127553) and Basic Black 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon (item 119261)

Too Cool – Big Shot Magnetic Platform

I’m posting a bit late today since I side tracked by my new box of goodies that came in that big brown truck. Don’t you love to see it pulling into your driveway? I know I do, it means I get to start creating with new goodies– and with this weekend’s Blue Mountain Stampers’ Retreat I’m getting ready to have a weekend marathon of stamping with my gal pals. Yippie!

I couldn’t wait to try out my NEW Big Shot Magnetic Platform (item 130658) and was truly impressed at how easy it makes things. You are going to love, love, love it! Check out this video showing you how it works.

Cool huh?

Vintage Soho Subway

Now for the card I promised to show you yesterday. Today’s card is one that came from a recent shoebox swap with my TEAM, the Blue Mountain Stampers. This card was created by JoAnn who loves vintage. She combined the Soho Subway Designer Series Paper with the butterflies made with the NEW 2013-2015 In Colors. When stamping the butterflies JoAnn alternated the colors of ink she used, instead of making them monochromatic. Very clever I thought.

Soho Subway Shoebox Swap

Everyone’s card turns out slightly different since we assemble the cards ourselves using hers as our guide. It’s always great fun to see how everyone changes it up a bit to suit their style.

Supplies:

Stamp Set: Papillon Potpourri (item 132058/123759)

Inks: 2013-2015 In Color Collection (item 131204)

Oh Hello Pop ‘n Cuts Treat Box

Wow, its Friday already – the week has really flown by. Today I’m going to share with you a new video showing you my Oh, Hello Pop ‘n CutsTreat Box that I recently did with the Blue Mountain Stampers during our monthly TEAM meeting.

Pop 'n Cuts Treat Box close up

I love the way this little Pop ‘n Cuts Treat Box turned out. It is a quick and easy project since you start with our Card Base Pop ‘n Cuts Die (item 130099). And the little box is really good sized so you can get a lot of great chocolate or other goodies into it. Hmm…I’m thinking it may be a great Treat Box for my daughter’s upcoming graduation party. I’ll have to get back to you on that one.

So without further ado…. here is my latest video – Pop ‘n Cuts Treat Box

From My Heart

Wow, sorry I didn’t get to post yesterday but I spent the day with my daughter touring KSU so she could make a final decision about which college she wants to attend.  The traffic was awful to get there, but the campus seemed lovely. Not sure that this has helped her since now she has to make a decision again. I’m trying real hard to stay neutral as she decides what is best for her future.

So what does this have to do with stamping? Well all of this had made me think of my old friends from school and when I see a tea pot I think of my old high school friend, Margie, and all the good times we had together over tea. So the image in the From My Heart Stamp Set makes me think of my friend and smile.  I love both the images and sayings in this set. How about you? I think they’re all great and work wonderfully with our Framelits.

From My Heart swap

Here is a great card that I received in a swap using the From My Heart set. I really like the way that Susan used the Comfort Café’ Designer Series Paper with this image. And can you see the shimmer around the image? It’s been sponged with our Frost White Shimmer Paint (item 116854) and then again around the edges with Midnight Muse.

Supplies:

Stamp Set: From My Heart (item 126555/126557)

Inks: Midnight Muse

Paper: Comfort Café’ (retiring item126898), Midnight Muse (item 126843), Cherry Cobbler (item 119681), and Whisper White (item 100730)

Accessories: Cherry Cobbler ½” Seam Binding (item 120992), Window Frames Collection Framelits Dies (item 129021), Pearl Basic Jewels (item 119247)

Retirement Image-001

Just a reminder that tomorrow is the last day to send in your guess for the retirement top 10 contest. It’s just for fun and there will be a prize for the winner who guesses the most stamp sets correctly!

Want to play?  Here’s how.

  • Look through the 2012-2013 Catalog
  • Make your list of 10 stamp sets you think will retire
  • Add one more stamp set you think will retire in case I need a tie breaker (for a total of 11)
  • Email your list to [email protected] subject line Retirement Party Contest
  • Include your name, address, and phone number (I’ll need these if you’re the winner so I can get your prize to you.)
  • Email me your list by 9 pm on Friday, April 19th

If by off chance the list is leaked early, then the contest is off. Remember, all Hostess sets retire so don’t include them in your list since they won’t count. Everyone is welcome to play; however, fellow Demonstrators won’t be included for the prize.

Want to join in more Retirement Party fun? Watch for more Party information and Giveaways coming your way soon.

Spring Sampler Bookmarks

I love to make things to give and this week I want to try making some quick bookmarks for spring. The Spring Sampler stamp set (item 125510/125512) from the Spring Catalog is one of my favorites and since it has such a great variety of images I started there. And of course my Big Shot dies make things quick when I want to do a large number of items so I pulled out my trusty Two Tags Die – love it right!?!

Here is what I came up with – I think my Spring Sampler Bookmarks will be a hit when I hand them out.

IMG_3620Once I got started I was having so much fun with the images from the Spring Sampler set I didn’t want to stop – lol IMG_3615

I used a variety of sentiments for the Spring Sampler Bookmarks too as you can see in my group photo.

Supplies:

Stamp Set: Spring Sampler

Inks: Early Espresso

Paper: Subtles Collection and Whisper White card stock

Accessories: 1 1/4″ and 1 3/4″ Scallop Circle, 1 1/4″ and 1 3/8″ Circle Punches, Stampin’ Write Markers
