It’s a Yummy Christmas

Have you ever made a gingerbread house? One of my earliest memories of the Brownies is making gingerbread houses out of our milk cartons and graham crackers. Slathering on the royal icing and decorating with candy. I would imagine children don’t have the wax paper cartons like we did, but I’m sure you get the idea. Any how, It’s what I think of when I see this set – including the years of fun with my own kids at the kitchen table doing the same.

Seems just yesterday. Even my husband joined in our annual Christmas baking

Check out these fun cards made with the Yummy Christmas stamp set (150501) and their coordinating dies found in the Annual Catalog, Cuckoo Clock Dies (146632).

Don’t you love how color changes the feel of a project? Same set two totally different feels just by color choice!

And here are a few more for the child in us – The Playful Penguins stamp set (150532) done in traditional red and green

And this cute little guy is stamped with the #Elfie stamp set (150509)

And finally the Birds of a Feather stamp set (150571) was used to create this little card along with the fun copper elements, Star Designer Elements (150430)

Birds of a Feather Table Treats

Today I’m going to share a fun project I made for this weekend’s #OnStage Event in Atlanta. I’ll be giving these out to some friends as table treats – just a little something, something for our sweet tooth.

I really love this set with it’s fun images and couldn’t resist using it for this Thanksgiving project when I found these pumpkin pie Rice Krispies treats with their gold wrappers (rather than their blue ones), I thought to my self it’s perfect! I’m always thinking color coordination when I’m looking at the packaging on the store shelf. Have you ever shopped that way?

Actually they actually are pretty good too. So if you run across them you might want to give them a try too. If not the regular ones will work just as well.

Since I’m taking these to share I thought you might like to make some to share too, so I’ve created a video for you.

Not only do I share how to make the holder, but I’ve also shared how I colored this little turkey with our Stampin’ Blends – I just love their bright bold colors for projects like these!

I’m going to run since I’ve got to get out the door, but stop back by again next week when I’ll be sharing the team gift I made for #OnStage with you. I ran out of time, so I don’t have the tutorial done yet.

Enjoy!

Birds of a Feather

I’ve shared some projects with you before using the Birds of a Feather stamp set for Halloween, so today’s post is all about the non traditional image for Christmas. I think this set is great since it covers multiple holidays making it perfect for treats and such too!

It’s funny my men loved this chick, but it puzzled my daughter a bit when she first saw it on my Christmas cards. For me this little chick with it’s stocking cap was too cute to resist! One can never tell in my house hold – lol

Here are a couple of cards using the image and our Snowfall Accents Puff Paint (150691) for the trim on the cap which adds a bit of texture. I LOVE this stuff it is sooo much fun using it on projects!

Both of these cards use the Night Before Christmas Designer Series Paper (150437).

So what do you think? Love this little chick as much as I do? Why not check out this and other Holiday Catalog products in my Online Store. And if you don’t already have a Demonstrator and would like a 2019 Holiday Catalog you can email me at [email protected] you name, address, and phone number and I’ll be happy to mail you one.

Boo to You & More

There is a nip in the air now, and we’ve had some beautiful fall days so I thought I’d share with you some Halloween cards as the little trick or treaters will be knocking on our doors soon. My kids used to love playing dress up and I would sew their costumes so that they could play in them all year long. Anyhow, great memories but that was many moons ago… So here are some great cards that are a lot of fun for us grown ups who enjoy a bit of Halloween fun too.

This first card uses one of my favorite sets Birds of a Feather (150571) from the 2019 Holiday Catalog.

This stamp set includes 4 little chicks are dressed up for 4 different winter holidays which makes it a great set for those cards and treats we will be making!

And of course I’ve shared these adorable little monsters with you before from the Boo To You stamp set (150550) in an earlier post for a fun treat item.

And finally if you like a more realistic look for Halloween you’ll want to check out The Raven (150593) great for simple stamping since the art work is great all by itself.

The moon on this card was created by using a simple masking technique. Cut out a circle from a sticky note place it where you’d like and then use a Stampin’ Sponge to add ink. Remove the sticky note when you’re done and you have this great moon. So simple, but it creates a great effect!

So what do you think? Like these cards? Why not leave me a comment and let me know which you like the best? Then stop by my Online Store and get yours.
