Now that the retirement list has been announced I thought it would be fun to highlight some of the stamp sets that we’ll be saying goodbye to over the next few weeks. Today’s set is Birthday Surprise (134117/134120). A fun set that is great for all ages and has a sketched feel to it which makes it great for all kinds of looks.

Here are 3 cards that have totally different feels to them. This first one uses our retiring 2013 In Colors.

And the Typeset Specialty Designer Series Paper (133704)

And this one adds a pop of bold color with the Tangelo Twist and Island Indigo.

Here is a quick and easy card that I made with the fun new stamp set Birthday Surprise (134117/134120) found in the NEW 2014-2015 Annual Catalog on page 52. My challenge to myself when making this card was to use just three colors that were more masculine.

So I chose Sahara Sand, Island Indigo, and the new 2014 In Color Tangelo Twist. Here is what I came up with.

The images in this set are bold and have a sketched feel to them and I wanted my texture to feel that way too so I took my Tangelo Twist Classic Ink Pad and just tapped my card stock to add some color and texture.
