Botanical Invitations

I always do a celebration for those that qualify for my FREE Event during Sale-a-bration and so today I thought I would share the invitations that I made for everyone along with a PDF tutorial for you.

This card uses a couple of the items on our Retirement list that I’m sad to see go specifically the wonderful Gorgeous Grunge (130514/130517) which is wonderful for collage or creating backgrounds with interest and the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies (140625) since they have these wonderful pop up areas to the flowers that create wonderful 3d effects.

Monday was my birthday and so I wanted to share with you some of the wonderful cards I received from my stamping friends – they are all such wonderful cards! Isn’t the #imbringingbirthdaysback movement great?

This first card was sent to me by Leah and uses the Moroccan Designer Series Paper along with the Avant Garden stamp set from Sale-a-bration.

This next card is from Shirley and she used the Botanical Blooms stamp set and coordinating Botanical Builder Thinlits Dies. She choose my favorite colors for this card – wonder is she knew?

And here is a lovely card from Hope that uses our Endless Wishes Stamp set

And a sweet card from Cindy using our Cool Treat stamp set – love the cherries!

And finally this technique card from Sue – striking!

It was a wonderful birthday – a beautiful spring day and I didn’t have to cook! since I got to try a new restaurant I’ve been wanting to try forever, Fenders Diner in Cornelia, with my honey. What could be a better way to celebrate?

On a personal note I want to thank you for being patient with me while I deal with technical problems. Seems like technology is not on my side lately and working against me lately. Things might still be a bit speratic while I fix the rest of the bugs. So thank you for your patience.

It’s the Last Day!

Botanical Blooms & Wine Charm Tutorial

I love these new Botanical Builder Framelit Dies that are part of the Botanical Gardens Suite of products found on pages 26 & 27 of the Occasions Catalog. They are alot of fun to work with and the fact that they “pop out” to give the flowers a more 3d look is cool.

Here is a card that I made with the Botanical Blooms Bundle (140819).

Isn’t it fun that the Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper (140583) can be stamped on with the Botanical Blooms stamp set (140757)? Add more detail quickly and easily with the Photopolymer stamps to add even more color and texture to your paper like I did on this card. Can you see where I stamped?

And don’t forget to decorate the inside too!

Botanical Bloom Wine Charm Video Tutorial

The other day I shared with you some cute little wine charms I made using the Botanical Blooms Bundle (140819) for my Team’s Winter Retreat. (You can click HERE to see that post.)

The charms were a hit with my team – so today I bring you a quick Video Tutorial for the wine charms.

**Please keep in mind while the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad is a permanent ink, but our Refills are water based. If you want this charm to be water proof you’ll need to spray a sealer on them or use permanent markers. While they are not water proof we had no problem with the charms when we used them repeatedly.

Botanical Blooms Wine Charms & NEW Weekly Deals

Do you enjoy using your stamping supplies in different ways? One of the things I love the most about crafting is the versatility it gives us. And Stampin’ Up! makes this easy with all the different choices we have.

Today’s project is a little wine charm that I made with the Botanical Blooms Bundle (140625). When I saw this stamp set and it’s Framelits Dies I knew it would be a lot of fun to play with!

I made these little wine charms for my Team members as a little surprise during our Winter Retreat. Everyone who attended our Team Retreat got to choose one in the color they liked. While all the flowers were the same I used different beads to set them apart and add another pop of color to them to them.

Retreats are part of the fun of being a Blue Mountain Stamper – we do them 3 times a year and enjoy the fellowship and time away from our daily responsibilities. After all who doesn’t like 3 days of uninterrupted stamp time? It’s a very laid back weekend, sleep when you please or not at all. LOL!

We also hold a Shoebox Swap as part of the weekend fun – those that can’t come for the weekend craft for the day or just come for the swap.

It’s a lot of fun to see what everyone created to share and it’s a great way to learn new things and try new products too. Here’s Cindy taking a few minutes to explain her shoebox.

Botanical Blooms

Today’s card is one of the three Make ‘n Takes that everyone made during my Sneak Peek Event. Those who attended were able to see and play with the new products from the Occasions Catalog before it went live!

I love the way this card turned out.

The Botanical Booms stamp can can be used in all kinds of ways and since it is a photopolymer set it makes this 2 step stamping quick and easy! And the coordinating Botanical Builder Framelits Dies are really cool since some of them even include a pop up portion to the design like the flower I used on this card front.

Even the Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper has a cool new feature. The images coordinate with the stamps so you can add detail to the paper if desired! Can you see the stamped images on the lower portion of the Designer Series Paper? We’ve stamped some of the center of the flowers.
