Prince of Peace

Merry Christmas everyone – May the best gifts of the season be yours as we celebrate the true meaning of Christmas!

2013 Family Christmas Photo

I hope that you enjoy this day celebrating with family and friends.

I myself am looking forward to spending some quality time with my husband and children so I won’t be posting on Thursday. But stop back by on Friday when I’ll be sharing a new video tutorial with you.

Lovely as a Tree

Today’s post is going to be a quick one – I just wanted to share with you some of the wonderful hand stamped cards that I have received in the mail from my fellow stampers.

They are all simply wonderful –

This first one uses our Lovely as a Tree stamp set (128655/127793) a tried and true set that is so versatile. I hope you can see the Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz (118772) that makes this card extra special.

Lovely as a Tree (2)

This next card just sparkles with the Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper (132341 Ribbon (132137). The focal point is the poinsettia from the Joyful Christmas stamp set (131802/131805). It’s been stamped and embossed in silver on vellum. I think the 3/8″ Glimmer Brad (121003) adds some additional bling!

Joyful Christmas (2)

I don’t think my photos really capture how wonderful these cards are.

I love this next one done in soft colors –

Wonderful Winterland

This card uses our retired set Wonderful Winterland from the 2012 Holiday Catalog.

Joyful Christmas

Joyful Christmas is one of the stamp sets that you can find in this year’s Holiday Catalog.  It’s a great set that has some wonderful sentiments in addition to strong line images which makes the set great for all kinds of techniques.

Here is a clean and simple card made with the Joyful Christmas stamp set. And here it has been used with the Metallic Gold Encore Pad for an extra bit of glamour.

This card was quick and easy since I used my largest clear block F and mounted both image and sentiment together so I only had to stamp once – isn’t that great?

My husband, Larry has retired after 25 years with Gwinnett County and has some time off before he starts his new position next week, so we’re celebrating a bit – And since our daughter is also home on fall break it’s a great chance to spend a little time together as a family.

Thanks for understanding and I’ll look forward to posting again and sharing projects with you after a little family R&R.

Joyful Christmas

Yesterday I shared with you my team swap and so over the next couple of days I thought it would be fun to show you some of the swaps my team made. I’ve got a group of very talented ladies and am always impressed with their creations.

So today’s swap is from Janie. She used the Joyful Christmas Stamp Set (131802/131805) from the Holiday Catalog to create this card. I really like the nontraditional colors she used to create this poinsettia.

Joyful Christmas Janie Team Swap Sept 2013 (2)

Janie and I have a mutual love for the colors found in the Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper – How about you? Isn’t there is just something that makes me feel good when I look at this designer series paper? And since it also comes in a 48 sheet Paper Stack it’s great for card making!

Yep, you heard me right the Winter Frost designer series paper comes in your choice of either a pack of 12×12 sheets (item 132341) with two special foil sheets or a Paper Stack of 48 sheets that include 4 patterns (item 132183). How great is that – I love all the choices Stampin’ Up! gives us to create with.
