Epic Day Flower Bow

As I’m winding down with my Christmas list of things to do, I’m beginning to work on projects for the upcoming birthdays in my family – We have quite a few of them the end of the year and early January. So today I thought I would share with you the little gift box I made to hold a little something special for my Aunt.

Epic Day Flower Bow

This little Kraft Gift Box is decorated using out Gift Bow Bigz L Die and the single stamp, A Gift for You.( Love the fact that this single stamp has a coordinating punch!) As you can tell I’m a huge fan of this Gift Bow Die – it’s a lot of fun to play with.

Here is a quick video tutorial showing you how I made the Epic Day Flower Bow:

There is still time to get the Gift Bow Die and A Gift for You Single Stamp if they are on your last minute wish list for yourself. The Holiday Catalog goes through January 2nd, 2014 and our Single Stamps list through January 31, 2014. And of course don’t forget our Weekly Deals that end tonight!

Winter Frost Fancy Gift Box Bow

I’ve fallen in love with our Gift Bow Bigz L Die recently and find myself reaching for it constantly. I’m really looking forward to making my own gift bows this holiday season and in the new year too, and since this die makes it so easy to create gift bows I hope to be able to share more projects with you in the next few weeks.

Fancy Gift Box Bow

This is one of our Kraft Gift Boxes (found in our 2013 Annual Catalog on page 160). They are a great size for holiday a little something – I’m thinking I maybe filling this one with some homemade rum balls.

I’ve covered the 4 sides of the Kraft Gift Box with panels of Island Indigo Textured Card Stock that I cut 3 1/4″ x 2 1/4″ and layered with a  3″ x 2″ piece of the Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper. I added these panels to the box using Sticky Strip (104294) for a really strong hold. For the top of the Kraft Gift Box I layered a 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ piece of Island Indigo with a 3″ x 3″ piece of the Winter Frost.

This bows a lot of fun to make and I thought it would be easier to show you how I put it together so here is my Fancy Gift Box Bow Video Tutorial to show you how.

Quick and Easy right?  Isn’t it great that this Gift Bow Bigz L Die is part of the Weekly Deals? Want one too, you won’t want to delay since our Weekly Deals only last today until 11:50 p.m. (MT). Blessing Mix Box

Turkey Day is this week – can you believe it? It’s really snuck up on me. Since I’ve wanted to share this great Blessing Mix Box with you that my friend JoAnn gave me recently I figured today would be a great day for it.

I don’t know about you but I love to give out little gifts to family and friends and so I am planning on making a bunch of these this week. JoAnn used our wonderful Kraft Gift Box (item #124106) which is currently on sale this week during our Online Extravaganza for just $2.07 for a package of 4 and our Brights Designer Buttons (#119747) also available during the Online Extravaganza for just $6.27.  So it’s a great time to get yours.

Inside JoAnn placed all the goodies described in the poem into one of our cello bags and tied it up with a ribbon.

Want to make some of these Blessing Mix Boxes for your family and friends? Here is the poem for you to use.

Blessing Mix

The Bugles are a symbol of the Cornucopia, a horn of plenty.

The Pretzels represent arms folding in Thanks & Prayer.

The Candy Corn reminds us that during the first winter, the pilgrims were allowed only five kernels of corn per day because the food was scarce.

The Fruit is a reminder that Thanksgiving is the celebration of the harvest.

The Peanuts represent seeds, the potential of the bounteous harvest of the next season if they are planted & well tended.

Have fun!
