Pinwheel Gift Bag

Today I thought I’d share with you a little gift item that I gave my down line when I got back from Leadership in Orlando. I love the way this little pinwheel gift bag turned out – don’t you?

You can create these little Pinwheels with our NEW Pinwheel Sizzlits Die (item 129411). I made about 100 of them when creating one of my swaps for Leadership. You can click HERE to see the card I made for my Leadership swaps.

Can you see the clouds on the bag? I really like using the Cloudy Day Embossing Folder with the pinwheels since it’s fun and whimsical.

Did you know pinwheels symbolize a lot of different things to different people? Recently I found that the Chinese use pinwheels a lot during their New Year’s Celebrations due to their symbolism. While looking around – turning obstacles into opportunities quickly became my favorite and the creative jump start for creating this little pinwheel gift bag. So… I came up with the sentiment, Transform your Dreams for the bag’s banner.

Were you wondering how I created this banner? Well I used My Digital Studio and the FREE Sale-a-Bration Digital Disc. The One Big Sale-a-Bration 2013 Digital Disk is a great item to choose since it contains all of the Sale-a-bration items that you can earn FREE.

Oops – I bet your wondering what goodie I put inside my pinwheel gift bag.

It contains a souvenir shot glass from Orlando. These little shot glasses are a great way to store your Multipurpose Liquid Glue since it always keeps the glue at the tip and ready to use. It’s rather funny to see a group of us demonstrators pulling our shot glasses during an event!

Leadership Just One More Day Away!

Well after a 10 hour road trip my down line Janie and I have arrived in Orlando and we’re excited to start our first Stampin’ Up! Leadership Conference tomorrow! It is a balmy 85 here in Orlando! Can you believe it? Is it really January? Since this is my first time in central Florida I enjoyed the scenery coming into the state and the lovely country side and my first glimpse of orange trees.

Today I thought I would share with you a little peak of what a trip to Stampin’ Up! Leadership looks like. Here are all the things that I packed to bring with me. I thought I did pretty good since my daughter said I was allowed to take ALL my clothes with me since I’m a girl “it’s allowed”. Now I know why a 3 day trip requires 3 suitcases for a 17 year old girl! I only forgot my pillow so since we hit the road at 4:30 a.m. I guess that isn’t too bad, right?

I’m really excited about swapping. That is something we demos do to share ideas, new products and designs. I’ll look forward to sharing some of these swaps with you when I return – so stay tuned.

So here is what my 163 swaps look like. Packed and ready to go. You’ll notice them in my new fabric tote in the previous photo.

Yes 163, I ran out of time to do any more since I was sick, but this is one of the favorite parts of getting together with other demos for me – the sharing of ideas.

And here is a sneak peek at a special project that I’ve made for my down line Leadership gift. Come back tomorrow and I’ll show you more.

Mean while I believe we’re going to head out and explore the city and meet some of our other demo friends. Did I already say I’m so excited?

Check out our fun NEW Pinwheel Sizzlits die (item # 129411 just $4.95) from the Spring Catalog. What fun it is to make these little pinwheels and there are all the rage right now – just in time for your spring cards.

Here is the card I designed for the recent shoebox with my SINKS friends. I like the whimsical saying and the feel of this card – what do you think?

It’s also one of my Leadership swaps that I’ll be taking with me as I head out the door – I’m sooo excited to be going and look forward to sharing all the exciting news from Leadership soon!
