Wetlands

Need a masculine card? Then I think Wetlands (item 126695/126697) is a great choice. I really love this stamp set with its lovely greetings. The greetings are actually what attracted me to this set to begin with, but I quickly fell in love with the images too.

I shared with you my summer theme convention swap yesterday that I made using this set and today I’m sharing with you the masculine card I created.

Wetlands convention swap

As soon as I saw this image I could see it being done in monochromatic or neutrals – so here is my monochromatic card. And although I did use our NEW Smoky Slate Embossing Power (item 129396) I still consider it monochromatic.

So which of my convention swaps do you like best? Yesterdays beach card or todays masculine one? Why not leave me a comment and let me know your favorite?

Six-Sided Sampler Birthday

Today’s card is one that I created this weekend during the Blue Mountain Stamper’s Retreat with my brother in mind. I thought this set, with its great hexagon images, would be perfect for a masculine card.  His birthday was Saturday so this will be a bit late, but I’m sure he won’t mind. I used the Six-Sided Sampler Bundle (item 132725/132724) along with the Really Good Greetings (item 130330/130333) from the NEW 2013-2014 Catalog.

Isn’t it great that we have more bundles offered in the NEW 2013-2014 Catalog like the NEW Six-Sided Sampler Bundle? Not only do you get the stamp set and punch, but you’ll get a 15% discount when ordering them together! It’s a win, win right?

I mentioned in my last post that I was getting ready for my Blue Mountain Stampers’ Retreat. I can’t tell you how much fun I had spending the whole weekend with my fellow demonstrators. I believe everyone whole heartedly agreed that we should at least make it a yearly event, maybe more – This event is now one of the perks of being part of my team – Fellowship, Fun and Sharing (along with an all night slumber party! What great girl time or just time away from the stresses of regular life, yippee!) Some of the girls have never been to my home here in Clarkesville so they really enjoyed the scenery and quiet. And believe me creative juices flowed well into the night; I know I was shocked to see it was the week hours of the morning when I looked up at the clock!

Here is a shot of my classroom set up and ready for the event.

The Open Sea

Need a great male card? The Open Sea stamp set is wonderful for making masculine cards and here is a great card that my friend Bonnie gave me recently during one of our demonstrator gatherings. I really like the way she used our Stampin’ Distressing Tool (item 127562) from the Spring Catalog to distress the edges of the card stock.

The Open Sea swap Bonnie

Did you notice that this card was created using our Not Quite Navy Ink and Cardstock that are being retired? Although I’m excited about the upcoming Color Refresh, I’m going to really miss Not Quite Navy. It’s always been one of my go to colors for masculine cards. I’m sure I’ll find myself reaching for our In Color Midnight Muse more and more when Not Quite Navy is no longer available soon.

Is getting together and sharing your love of stamping something that you would like to do? Have you ever thought about becoming a Demonstrator? Whether you’d like the discount to support your habit or earn a little extra cash – I’d love to speak with you about joining my Team, the Blue Mountain Stampers. With our starter kit including $30 in additional product now through May 30th it is a great time to join! That’s $155 in product for just $99! Want to find out more about my Team? Click HERE.

By the Seashore

This summer I spent some time with my daughter visiting my sister and her husband in Texas. We made a lovely day trip to Galveston and played in the surf for a while. Part of the fun that day was the ride we took on the ferry and looking for sea shells on the beach. So when my friend Teresa gave me this card made with By the Seashore in a recent swap I was tickled. It reminded me of those wonderful memories.

By the Seashore is a great stamp set and the images are bold which makes it a perfect set to do all kinds of techniques with. I love the colors Teresa chose to use when she designed this card it makes me think of the colors of the ocean and the Linen Thread adds some texture.

So the next time you need to relax and get away why not stamp a little scrapbook page or card with our By the Seashore stamp set? It’s sure to bring back those vacation memories.

Supplies:

Stamp Set: By the Seashore and Perfectly Penned

Inks: Pacific Point, Soft Suede, River Rock, Crumb Cake

Paper: Pacific Point, Soft Suede, River Rock, Crumb Cake

Accessories: Linen Thread
