Heartland, OnStage & More

Today I’m going to share one of my cards that I created for my OnStage swaps and I’m including a tutorial for you too. This set makes a wonderful masculine cards and I’m always in need of that! How about you?

Love it- it reminds me of all those barns that dotted the country side in Wisconsin. As a child they did school field trips to a really cool living museum, Old World Wisconsin, where they had moved all kinds of barns and had live reenactments from different time periods. It really brought history to life. However, I do remember having been very tired at the end of the day for the long bus ride home. LOL I should have such energy now!

Any how, I bet you’d like to see the tutorial, right?

More OnStage….

On a personal note I wanted to share some more photos of OnStage Live – Salt Lake with you. I also want to say thank you, to my fellow crafters, stamping friends, and Team members for your support and help in reaching my goal this year. I couldn’t have taken this step on my journey without each and everyone of you!

I was one of the 160 Demonstrators world wide who promoted to Silver Elite this year and just 1 of the 44 who were in attendance at OnStage Live in Salt Lake who were recognized with a walk across the stage. I can tell you it made my first Live event VERY special.

I couldn’t have done it without you and I’m feel extremely blessed to have each and everyone of you in my life! Meeting and creating friendships while stamping was a special blessing that I didn’t expect when I joined the Stampin’ Up! family 8 years ago. So thank you again!

This promotion allowed me to participate in Leadership training, which allows me to share even more with you. And I can’t wait to share – I’m so excited about the new Occasions Catalog and Saleabration offerings I hope you will be too!

CenterStage is a special event that I was able to attend Thursday night with some wonderful entertainment.  Here is my friend Susan and I at the dinner. We had the pleasure of sitting with Nancy Gauthier and some of her team. (Nancy was the #1 Demonstrator in Leadership in Canada).

I thoroughly enjoyed Jason Hewett who was the entertainment for the night. I laughed until I cried he was sooooo funny!  I wasn’t alone, we were all wiping our eyes by the time he finished. You can find some of his older stuff on YouTube if you are curious.

Stamparatus Update

Wow,  if you tried to reserve a Stamparatus yesterday you know the reservations closed much quicker than expected. Please contact me and I’ll be happy to put you on my Stamparatus list and make sure you get any future information about the new reservation process.

I’m afraid I’m not sure if I’ll be able to post tomorrow since I’ll be having a new heating and air system installed.  I’ve been without now since October 8th! Yikes and its getting a bit nippier at night inside my house with the cooler temps. I’ll have to wait and see and crazy it gets around here.

I still have to share a 3d tutorial with you and some wonderful swaps I received at OnStage – so stop on by.

Feather Together & More

Today’s card is one that I made for a general On Stage Live Swap using the Feather Together and Heartland stamp sets. Some how they just seemed to work together once I got going. I have to say I’m thinking I was a bit in a nostalgic mood when I was creating for this event, you’ll see what I mean by the end of the week. lol

Any how here is the card I made.

I really love the way this turned out. While I didn’t have pet geese growing up, my Aunt Arlo and Uncle Rodger did on the farm. I had pet mallards that my dad got me at the Seven Mile Fair Flea Market in Wisconsin one year when we went. I loved the way the male’s feathers changed color in the light. And while my 4 year old memory remembers them being more green I really like the Island Indigo for this project.

On a personal note, last Wednesday I was able to take a tour of Stampin’ Up!s home office – what fun. I even made a new friend, Natalie on the bus ride over. One of my favorite parts of being a Demonstrator, you get to meet folks from all over the world.

Here are some photos from the visit.

The snow top mountains were beautiful and so different from ours here in North Georgia.

And here is a photo of the warehouse – it was pretty cool to see how they pack all our orders.

And creativity was everywhere! I loved the chalkboards, wished mine looked this nice in the classroom.

Isn’t the bow pretty? It’s made out of the Delicate White Doilies (141701) from the Annual Catalog.

And I love this wreath made from the Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper (144623). I think my daughter would love one!

On Stage, Country Living & More

Wow, it has been a world wind 7 days with lots of fun, laughter, and friends! I’ve got lots to share with you, but today I’m going to share a card that I created for my On Stage Shoebox Swap with Sherrie and more!

I’ve waited 8 years to get to go to a Stampin’ Up! event in Salt Lake and it was well worth the wait – I had a blast and can’t wait for the next On Stage in April, after all I always enjoy stamping with 2,700 of my closest friends. LOL!

My roommate Marnie and I  took off in the wee morning on Tuesday, ready for adventure.

We arrived in Salt Lake ready to check out the city – a quick peek out our window after we checked in (what a view)

And then enjoyed the stroll around Temple Square which included an organ recital there,

and the City Creek Center, which was an outdoor mall where we had lunch at the Blue Lemon, yum.

I couldn’t resist stopping in the chocolate shop, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, which smelled heavenly and picking something up for my hubby, Larry whom I’m left at home. As many of you know he is a chocolate fiend!

And of course we had to check out the Salt Lake Palace Convention Center.

It was fun to see all the Stampin’ Up! On Stage Banners on the posts. It was a full day for sure.

Wednesday, I did a Sherrie’s Shoebox Swap so today I thought I would share a tutorial for my card with you. Want to see the card? I really loved the way it turned out.

Here is the card I created.

I call it Boots and Bandanas – can you see my old-fashioned bandana in the background that I created with the Paisley & Posies Stamp Set. Larry didn’t I had to explain it to him, he just shrugged at me – men lol.

Here is the tutorial for you so you can make one too.
