Quick & Easy Easter Treats!

Check out these quick and easy Easter Treats I whipped up yesterday using the We Must Celebrate stamp set – I really love this little bunny.

And the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set (128748/127802) is one of my favorites since it has a ton of sentiments and gives you something for every occasion!

I used our 2″ x 8″ Cellophane Bags (141703) and filled it with Hershey’s Nuggets that I wrapped strips from the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper (144185).

A quick wash with my Aqua Painter (103954) in Smoky Slate (131179) and Blushing Bride Classic Ink (131172) completed my bunny. For the topper I was inspired by the colors in the paper and used my Layering Circles Framelits Dies (141705).

And how about this little Treat Pouch filled with a Ghiradelli Blueberry Chocolate Square? Got to tell you these chocolates are yummy!

I used the Petal Garden Designer Series 6×6 Paper Stack (144168) since it is perfect for this project – no cutting and of course teamed it up with the Layering Circles Framelits Dies (141705) so I could get the full body of this little guy. A quick sentiment done in Old Olive Classic Ink (126953) and voila! done and ready for giving out this weekend!

You can see my video tutorial on how to make these little Treat Pouches CLICK HERE.

Enjoy! And then why not stop back by tomorrow when I’ll be sharing some more projects with you?

We Must Celebrate Easter Merci Chocolate Box Tutorial

I just received my We Must Celebrate stamp set and couldn’t wait to get started creating with these fun little animals. I knew I would love using the little bunny for creating Easter gifts for family and friends.

I knew just want I wanted to do with them after making this chocolate box for my team members (Click HERE to see the video tutorial). So today’s project is one I whipped up a bunch of for those attending yesterday’s card class as a little surprise.

And of course it holds what else? Chocolate of course! I’m really finding these Merci Chocolate quite yummy and fun to work with and am asking myself how I’ve over looked them for so long!

I love the soft spring feel of the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper when I ran across the package – so I used it to help choose the colors I used.

Wonder how I got just the bunny image? You could color it with Stampin’ Write Markers, or even mask the other section of the stamp off, but I cut the stamp apart. Yes, you heard me correctly – and for those of you who know me you know just how hard this was for me. LOL!

But I did it and am glad I did now, since it makes using this image so much easier AND when I want to stamp the group together I simply put it together on my clear block.

It didn’t affect the image at all when I stamped it, which made me very happy. The only thing I would do differently is cut the label before I apply it to the back of my clear mount stamp.

I’ve made a quick tutorial for you so you can make some too!

St. Patty’s Day Ferrero Roche Gift Box Video Tutorial

I recently attending a DIY Retreat and received these yummy little Ferrero Roche Chocolates at dinner. Of course everyone at the table was on a diet right now, so I ended up with a little pile of them. LOL! As I lined them up on my table they made me think of little pots of gold – so I couldn’t resist making a little box for them for St. Patrick’s Day!

Of course I couldn’t resist adding a little shine to this project, so I pulled out the fabulous Myths & Magic Glimmer Paper. The light green was perfect for this project!

These boxes are quick and easy to make so I whipped up a video tutorial for you in case you wanted to make some too!

So what do you think? Do you want to spread a little luck of the Irish and a little chocolate of course?!

If so I’ve also made a printable PDF tutorial with the supply list and measurements for you to go along with the video.

On Stage, Country Living & More

Wow, it has been a world wind 7 days with lots of fun, laughter, and friends! I’ve got lots to share with you, but today I’m going to share a card that I created for my On Stage Shoebox Swap with Sherrie and more!

I’ve waited 8 years to get to go to a Stampin’ Up! event in Salt Lake and it was well worth the wait – I had a blast and can’t wait for the next On Stage in April, after all I always enjoy stamping with 2,700 of my closest friends. LOL!

My roommate Marnie and I  took off in the wee morning on Tuesday, ready for adventure.

We arrived in Salt Lake ready to check out the city – a quick peek out our window after we checked in (what a view)

And then enjoyed the stroll around Temple Square which included an organ recital there,

and the City Creek Center, which was an outdoor mall where we had lunch at the Blue Lemon, yum.

I couldn’t resist stopping in the chocolate shop, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, which smelled heavenly and picking something up for my hubby, Larry whom I’m left at home. As many of you know he is a chocolate fiend!

And of course we had to check out the Salt Lake Palace Convention Center.

It was fun to see all the Stampin’ Up! On Stage Banners on the posts. It was a full day for sure.

Wednesday, I did a Sherrie’s Shoebox Swap so today I thought I would share a tutorial for my card with you. Want to see the card? I really loved the way it turned out.

Here is the card I created.

I call it Boots and Bandanas – can you see my old-fashioned bandana in the background that I created with the Paisley & Posies Stamp Set. Larry didn’t I had to explain it to him, he just shrugged at me – men lol.

Here is the tutorial for you so you can make one too.

Inside the Lines Watercolor Challenge

Last month when we met as a team we did some training using our Watercolor Pencils and I challenge everyone to create a project using what they learned. If you’d like to learn more about using our Watercolor Pencils you can click HERE to see the tutorials and worksheets.

Everyone received a piece of the Inside the Lines Designer Series Paper as part of the challenge. So today I’m sharing with you a couple of the cards we made.

This first card is one I created. The flowers are water colored using an Aqua Painter. And I used our beautiful Sale-a-bration Glimmer Paper Assortment as the base to my dragonfly. I LOVE this stuff the colors are so rich and beautiful and add a intense pop of color!

On this next card Cindy used the Watercolor Pencils simply as colored pencils for a different look.

A soft subtle look that is definitely Cindy’s Style. She used a layer of vellum that she cut using Bold Butterfly Framelits Dies (138135) and topped that with a layer of Calypso Coral she cut using the Butterfly Thinlits Dies (137360). I like the way that these two sets of dies can be used together or stand on their own. And do you recognize the sentiment? It’s from our Greatest Greetings stamp set (140703/140706) that you can find on page 78 in our Annual Catalog.

Did you know that you can earn this items (while supplies last) now through the end of March? During Sale-a-bration when you place a $50 order you can choose a Sale-a-bration item for FREE! And there are a lot of great choices to choose from.

Paper Pumpkin Prepaid Subscriptions

And did you know when you purchase a Paper Pumpkin Prepaid Subscription you can earn Sale-a-bration items too? Chose a 3 month Prepaid Subscription which is on sale for just $55 and you’ll get to choose one Sale-a-bration item. Choose a 12 month Prepaid Subscription and not only will you get a $2 discount on each kit, but you’ll get to choose 4 Sale-a-bration items too!!!

Want to see what last months kit was like? Here is a quick video of this fun project that arrived in my mailbox.

And with Paper Pumpkin celebrating its 4th birthday you’ll find a special message in the March kit so you won’t want to miss out! Purchase your subscription and create your account by the end of the day March 10th to be included!!! Got questions? I’m here to help – simply email me at [email protected] and I’m happy to help.

Here comes Peter Cotton Tail….

Ducks, chicks and bunnies always make me think of Easter since my mother use to take us to the Bayshore Mall in the spring to see the eggs hatch, in a really big egg at the mall – over the weeks you could visit and watch the little beaks breaking through the shells to magically appear. It fascinated me every year. So what could be better than a cute little punch art bunny for this project?

I wanted to be able to create them they could be done for both the boys and girls in the family – so here is what I did.

I love that by simply placing the bow in a different location you have a different look – Peter

or Flopsy?

It’s your choice. My kids loved the story of Peter Rabbit growing up! And now I’ve got the song running through my head. LOL! Since it is supposed to be 78 for the high today and it feels like spring, can you blame me?

Notice the sentiment? It’s from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set – a wonderful sentiment set to start with since it has sentiments for all occasions!

Here is a chart for building your bunnies.

Vintage Flower Shop

Today’s card is one that has for better term, a vintage feel to it. Isn’t it funny how you can change the whole look of a card with just the choice of card stock and colors you use?

Flower Shop

The base for this card is Naturals Ivory Card Stock (101849) and if you haven’t ever used our Naturals Card Stock you’re in for a pleasant surprise when you try it. It has such a rich earthy feel to it, and it can really make a difference to the whole look of your project. I use the Nautrals card stocks when I’m wanting a more subtle feel of color, (Whisper White or Very Vanilla), and look for a project.

This card uses the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set which is a wonderful set to add to your collection since it is so versatile and lends itself to so many different styles. It is one that you may pass over at first when you flip through the catalog, since it seems a little bland at first – but don’t let that deter you. Once you stamp with it you’ll wonder why you didn’t get it sooner!

Hope to see you this Saturday – There is still time to RSVP!

Four Frames Birthday

Recently the robins have been all over the yard and it made me want to choose a stamp set with birds in it – so I reached for two of my favorites, Four Frames 128589/123422)and Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Four Frames

Why are these two of my favorite stamp sets? They are just very versatile and between the two you can make a card to pretty much suit any occasion, guys and gals both. So here is what I came up with.

Four Frames

I used the Eastern Elegance Designer Series Paper to decide my color choices for this project. I just love the new color Smoky Slate – I am so a gray person, so this Designer Series Paper suits me since it has so many of the colors I love.

Love the elegant bow I used for this card? Why not check out my Simply Elegant Bow Video Tutorial? Click HERE to see my earlier project and tutorial.
