Geometrical Meets Pennant Parade

Pennants are on trend right now and so here is a birthday card that I made for another of those spring birthdays that I told you about.  I told you there were a lot of us born in spring. LOL

Pennant Parade and Geometrical

I really like the way this card turned out and hope my friend will enjoy it too when she receives it in the mail. I think its bright and cheerful and just right for a her spring birthday. And although I picked the Geometrical sentiment for a birthday card this time I think the sentiments in this particular set are pretty versatile for all kinds of occasions.

To get started I chose the Birthday Basics Designer Series Paper to use on the pennants and in turn this helped me choose the colors for the rest of the card. Isn’t it great when you use Designer Series Paper? It makes knowing what colors look great together so easy!

And do you see the Itty Bitty Shapes that I included on the pennants? This set of three punches is currently part of our Weekly Deals and are great for all kinds of different things. They add just the right touch of color when you need it and our Basic Rhinestones add a pop of sparkle!

Want to see another project using another of the items from this week’s Weekly Deals?

Well check out the Gingham Stampin’ Around Wheel used for my next card.

Wildflower Meadow Team Project June 2013

I’ve used the standard sized Gingham Wheel to add a band of color along the lower edge of this all occasions card – and it too is part of our Weekly Deals. Whoo hoo!

Wheels are so easy to use and when you’re using them for a small section like I did here you can just use your Classic Stampin’ Pad. Want to create a longer run with a wheel? Try our Uninked Stampin’ Around Cartridges! They make it easy.

Party This Way Scrapbook Page

Today is National Scrapbook day – so I thought I would share with you a 6×6 scrapbook page that I made recently for my son’s birthday.

When I made this page I used the retiring stamp set Party this Way. It is such a fun stamp set to use for any kind of party. I love the way this little page turned out, don’t you? I think it is very festive.

Can you see the cake? I love to make coordinating invitations, cards and cakes for my children. If you look closely this cake was inspired by the Loads of Love and Loads of Fun stamp sets, also retiring at the end of this month. I couldn’t resist the Loads of Fun stamp set with its little four wheeler, since my son and his friends are always finding a mud hole to ride through somewhere.

I’m really going to miss the Loads of Love and coordinating stamp sets, they were one of my first sets that I purchased as a beginning stamper and I’ve used them often.

Supplies:

Stamp Set: Party this Way and Pennant Parade

Paper: Just Add Cake Designer Series Paper, Real Red, and Early Espresso

Accessories: Real Red, Early Espresso, and Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Write Markers, Early Espresso Bakers Twine, Basic Rhinestones, Small Oval Punch and Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack

Pennant Parade Christmas

Do you know which stamp set was used to create this card? It’s Pennant Parade! I received this card using Pennant Parade in a swap and am sorry I cannot give credit to the owner since it wasn’t labeled. I think it is a great card if you need to make a bunch since it is quick and simple.
