Soft & Sweet Sweetbriar Rose

The other day I showed you a card that I created and colored with the Stampin’ Blendabilities (you can see it here). Today’s card has a much softer feel to it since I used my Classic Ink Pads and Blender Pen to color the image this time.

Sweetbriar Rose 1

I’ve stamped the image in StazOn since I planned on coloring it and it won’t run or smear. Water coloring with our Classic Ink is easy, I simply squeezed my ink pad while it was closed to get some of the ink from the pad onto the cover. I could then pick up that ink using my Blender Pen and voila!

Sweetbriar Rose

With all the winter weather we’ve been having I thought I would share a card that gives us little breath of spring. I know I’m ready for winter to be over and I can’t say we’ve had a really harsh one over all here in North Georgia.

I’ve used the single stamp, Sweetbriar Rose to create today’s card.

Sweetbriar Rose

And to color it I’ve used our Stampin’ Blendabilities Marker Assortments. The four new colors you’ll find in our Occasions Catalog are wonderful for spring since they are soft colors.  Blendabilities makes coloring images a snap and they give you a wonderful bold pop of color. It’s nice having choices, isn’t it?

On a personal note I thought I would share with you two photos that I took this morning. This first one is when I got up this morning. I really thought it was a rather pretty with the sunrise.

And this second photo is one of the same view that I took about an hour later. The sun is super cool, and it shows you just how limited our view was due to the snow. Don’t you love nature?

Snow storm Feb 2015 (2)

I’m hoping that you are enjoying the snow from your nice warm home and haven’t had any weather related problems.

We’ve been extremely lucky the past two weeks and Habersham does a great job of cleaning up over all. I was pleasantly surprised when the “snow plow” came through about 7:30 a.m. to clear our road. And while things are delayed it looks like it will be a good day over all. Chewie, our dog has  been out playing and of course must stand on the porch at the edge of the snow and make sure she is heard – LOL!

Oh, and if you haven’t already check out my Snow Day special check your email. (This is a special offer for those of you who receive my Newsletters. So if you’re on my Newsletter list you should have received your email by now.)
