My name is Jini Merck and I'm a Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator. I love being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, not only do I get to be creative every day, I also get to be a creative coach, offering fresh project ideas and encouragement to my customers and friends. For me, helping someone create that perfect project for a special occasion is the best feeling in the entire world. After all, creating cards, scrapbook pages, and gift items is about more than just stamps and ink—it’s about sharing a part of yourself with the people in your life. I live in Clarkesville which is in the North Georgia Mountains with my husband and two children. Although my family keeps me busy I enjoy the creativity of stamping and crafts and the fellowship stamping brings into my life. Spending time creativing cards and gifts for friends and family has been one of my favorite hobbies over the years.

Luau Catalog Launch Party Winners Announced

Want to see more photos from my Luau Catalog Launch Party? Yesterday I shared with you some photos of everyone working on the Make ‘n Takes so today I thought I’d share a couple photos of the food table.

This first one is the whole table – sigh, I thought I was doing so good Sunday but I took this before I heated up the yummy crab dip. Many of you commented on how much you liked the punch. Well the punch I made this year was sooo quick and easy.

Want to know the secret recipe? Well I was feeling rather adventurous earlier this spring and ran across Tampico Punch in a gallon jug at my local Ingles and so I gave the Mango Punch a try. Added a 2 liter bottle of Ginger ale and voila’ – my Luau punch was discovered! Like I said quick and easy, right?

Here is a close up photo of my cupcakes. I think these little flip flops are just too stinking cute! I found them on Pinterest for my daughter’s graduation party and had so much fun making them I thought the ladies would enjoy them too. Aren’t they cute?

Last but not least here is my display table showing off some of our new products in the 2013-2014 Catalog.

Flower Shop

This past weekend I held my Luau Catalog Launch Party here in Clarkesville and wanted to share with you the Make n’ Take we made using the Flower Shop Stamp Set (item 130939/130942).

I made this card using our Flower Shop Bundle (Item 132727/132726 found on page 95) in our NEW 2013-2014 Catalog. Did you know that there are more bundles than ever are available in the new catalog? And when you purchase any bundle you’ll get a 15% discount! How great is that!

Don’t you love our NEW In Colors they’re just so yummy? I used the Crisp Cantaloupe from the 2013-2015 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack (item 130136) and teamed it up with Calypso Coral for a soft tone on tone look.

I think everyone had a good time getting together, seeing all the new catalog items, getting some free goodies, and stamping their Make and Take.

Feel Goods

The Best things in life…. This sentiment from the Feel Goods stamp set is one of my favorites and I love the font that this sentiment set uses. How about you?

Today’s project is one that I received from my friend Cindy during our TEAM event last week. Cindy is always coming up with the cutest 3-ds for her swap.

As she told me the story about how she ran across these big paper clips and bought them because she thought they looked like Bermuda Bay, but then realized they were really Tempting Turquoise when she got them home. She reminded me of one of the items I like to keep with me when I was shopping, my color ring. Hmmm maybe this would be something you would enjoy too?

Any way, although the color wasn’t what she originally thought it was, she has made her project work beautifully with the Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper that she used. Don’t you think?

Whether the color was Bermuda Bay or not when I look at my giant paper clip sitting on my desk it makes me feel, well… good! The bright and cheerful butterflies are just fun – don’t you think?

Framelits Organization

I love to organize my stamp room, how about you? I know it is always a work in progress, but I can’t help the great feeling I get when I finish organizing my space. Sound familiar? If so you may enjoy this latest item I’ve created to organize my space.

With the NEW 2013-2014 Catalog there are even more great NEW framelits offered and although I’d already begun to use our Clear Mount Cases (item 119105) to store them I wasn’t real happy with the labels I had on them.

So I created my Famelits Organization Printables. What is that you may ask? Well it is a FREE printable download for you to use to help organize your Framelits and Edgelits too!

Here is a picture of my cases ready to go. (I’ve had to print mine out in blue since my printer is being difficult and I’m afraid ready to give up on me, but the file has been saved in black for you, so no worries.)

I’ve also created a FREE Edgelits Oraganization Printables for you too. I like to keep all my Edgelits together for right now, but you may want to have a separate case for them – so I’ve created them both ways. Just print the pages you want.

Another Sketched Birthday

My girlfriend from high school has a birthday tomorrow so I created this card for her.

If you’re saying it looks a lot like the card I made for my TEAM meeting on Thursday you’re right. I used the same basic elements but switched it up a bit with the focal point and by adding the banner. I also used my bone folder to do some curling on the Designer Series Paper pieces and sentiment.

Sketched Birthday

Today’s card featuring the Sketched Birthday stamp set (item 130423/130426) is one I created for my TEAM meeting. Since this was our first monthly since the catalog launched we had a lot of fun playing with the new goodies and sharing.

I really love the new In Color 3/8″ Ruffle Stretch Trim that I used on this card. It’s a lot of fun to work with and this years In Colors are sooo yummy. They remind me of summer or sorbet – how about you?

Can you tell that I used our Dazzling Details for the Sketched Birthday cupcake? I think its well worth the wait time it takes for it to dry since it gives a nice shimmer to the focal point.

Label Love

If you like punches you are going to love this new stamp set Label Love (item 130619/130622) found on page 33 in our NEW 2013-2014 Catalog! The Label Love stamp set coordinates with the Artisan Label Punch (item 130920) and is great for all kinds of different occasions. No fussy cutting with this set and I’m definitely a punch kind of girl. How about you?

My card today was made during my weekend retreat and was part of our shoebox swaps. My friend Aniko designed this card and I tweaked it a little bit – that is the fun of a shoebox swap after all, being able to change it up a bit to suite you personality.

This Label Love card was my first opportunity to use our NEW Candy Dots and I’ve got to tell you that if you haven’t ordered any yet, you’ll want to. You’re going to loooove them hands down!
