Team Holiday Fun

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – I love to pamper my team! So for this month’s team meeting we had our Annual Holiday luncheon and enjoyed some time together where we laughed, shared, played and stamped.

Want to see some of the wonderful items they’ve been making since the last meeting?

Fantastic projects, right? I can’t pick a favorite – I’ve got such a great team of folks who just love to paper craft!

We had fun playing the dice game too. Have you ever played this game?

Fun, and fast paced! And of course when the clock runs out – the goodies are yours!

I made these fun Lots of Lavender Bags. The stamp set is one of our Sale-a-bration options and I couldn’t resist the yummy new ribbon from the Occasions Catalog.

Each bag was filled with a little something special from the NEW Occasions Catalog! Everyone was a winner!

And of course we made a couple of projects too- So we did some stamping too! I had so much fun designing for my Santa’s Workshop Class that I had too many projects for just one class. LOL! You know me I love gift items and 3ds!!! So we made some candle holders and learned a fun new technique while we were at it!

I found these yummy lemon candy canes at the Dollar Tree and couldn’t resist putting them with a lemon scented candle and using the Lemon Zest stamp set (143805/143808). This bundle has very quickly become one of my go to favorites! Lemons, oranges, and limes – oh, my!

I thought you might enjoy making some of these for yourself. With all the crazy flavored candy canes out there right now the options are endless, but of course I can’t resist anything lemon!

Here is my Blue Mountain Stampers’ Lemon Zest Candle Tutorial (printable PDF)

I’ve taken it a bit slower this past week and forgot I had this fun video to share with you from my OnStage Product Purchase Premiere – no worries tho, because I can share it with you today and you can see some of our wonderful new items in the Occasions Catalog.

Team Time = Fun Time & more!

Team Time with my peeps is always one of the best parts of the month – we have such fun together sharing and stamping together. Yesterday, we held our monthly Team Meeting, so today I thought I’d share with you some of the wonderful projects that I’ve received during swaps from my team members.

This first card Deborah made using the Colorful Seasons Bundle (145348) of products.

And this card was made using the Mabel Me Pretty  Bundle (145304/145305)

A couple of cute little boxes using the Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper (144125)

And a bag using the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper (144610) and the Wood Words Stamp (143925/143928) set currently on sale during our World Card Making Day promotion.

And I love how our Multipurpose Adhesive sheets (144106) make this Birthday Thinlits Die (143700) so easy to use! This card has a soft watercolor feel to it since it was teamed up with our Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper (144137) that is part of our Buy 3 Get 1 FREE Designer Series Paper promotion.

This little square card was made using the Jar of Love (141587) and coordinating Everyday Jars Framelits Dies (141490) Isn’t it adorable?

Love Designer Series paper? How about decorating some note pads like Cindy did? I couldn’t pick a favorite – how about you? You can get your favorites this month during our Buy 3 Get 1 Free Designer Series paper promotion.

And here is the Lemon Zest stamp set (143805/142808) – we got to play with the Embossing Paste (141979) and even added color to it with a Rose Red reinker. How cool is that?

And finally here is a cute little post it note holder that Cindy made for everyone at the Peak Princess event using the Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper (144125). This stuff is great for a project like this since it is a bit heavier weight kraft paper.

Whew! Lot’s of great projects and inspiration shared – right?

Celebrating with Peak Princess Day

We also had a special event last month – it’s a day of pampering that I do twice a year, I call it my Peak Princess event – after all we are Blue Mountain Stampers. LOL! We had our largest group qualify this time – 8 in total.

I love to make special appetizers and treats for everyone to enjoy. So we always begin these events with some time enjoying some goodies and sharing.

And this time the Olive Bread was a huge hit! So I thought I’d share the recipe with you too. It’s really yummy – my guys were tickled they got some too! (Just a tip cut the bread evenly so the cheese doesn’t melt and slide down one side. This half was not the prettiest, but oh so good!)

Olive Cheese Bread

1 loaf French Bread

About 25 Mezzetta © Spanish Queen Pimento Stuffed Olives

6 oz. can of Black Olives, drained

2 stalks Green Onions (scallions)

1 stock Butter, room temperature

1/2 c. Mayonnaise

3 c. Monterey Jack Cheese, grated

Roughly chop both black olives and pimiento stuffed olives. Slice green onions into thin pieces. Combine butter mayonnaise, cheese, olives and green onions in a mixing bowl. Stir together until thoroughly combined.

Spread mixture thickly onto French bread that has been sliced lengthwise. Bake at 325 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until cheese is melted and browning.

Mixture can also be made in advanced and refrigerated for up to 2 days.

We also get to celebrate and recognize achievements with team gifts.

And we make projects too so everyone had a make ‘n take packet ready for them – after all we love stamping together!

Shoe box fun at the Blue Mountain Stampers’ Weekend Retreat

This past weekend was my 5th Annual Weekend Retreat – (wow it’s so hard to believe we’ve been doing this that long already!) This event is held each June so that we can gather and have fun playing with our new catalog goodies. It’s a laid back, full of stamping and laughter – just a great weekend of sharing and fellowship. I feel really blessed to have such a wonderful team.

There were a total of 8 of us this time and we had a lot of fun with a project Cindy has been wanting to try – Shrinky Dinks!

Several of the group had never played with Shrinky Dinks before, so you know what that means! Who doesn’t love watching them watch them curl up and shrink?

We also did a shoe box swap on Saturday, so I thought I would share the cards everyone made for it.

This first card is made with Pocket Full of Sunshine (143719) and the Pocket Framelits Dies (143750) that you can get in a bundle allowing you to save 10% (145345). I think it is a very fun set, perfect for those younger folks in our life.

And this next card uses the Daisy Delight stamp set (143669), Daisy Punch (143713) and the Wood Words stamp set (143925/143928). Can you guess where the scallop comes from?

It’s the Seasonal Layers Framelits Dies (143751).

The Oh So Eclectic Stamp Set (143937/143940) was used to create this lovely Powder Pink card.

And how about this great card made with the Daisy Delight Bundle (145361) and the sentiment from Swan Lake (142974/142977).

And the final card today, is a wonderful Masculine card made in rich bold colors using the Happy Birthday Thinlits Dies (143700). You are going to love the NEW 5/8″ Crinkled Seam Binding (144189) and

Pinewood Planks 3d Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (143708) since it creates a wonderfully deep, dimensional images!!!

Stop back by tomorrow when I’ll be sharing my shoe box and a FREE tutorial so you can make one too.

Touches of Texture & More

Team time = fun and swaps, so today I thought I’d share some of the cards that my team members made for March’s Team Meeting.

This first card is Deborah’s and she used her new skills that she learned using the Watercolor Pencils to add color to her flowers.

I’ve included the recipe below for this card. (You’ll have to scroll way down to the bottom.)

Mary’s card uses the wonderful Dragonfly Dreams Bundle (144728) and our yummy Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper (140550) and Falling in Love Designer Series Paper (142788) with it’s soft colors it’s perfect for spring!

And this final card is from Cindy. Cindy loves soft pastels, so this card is very Cindy as our team says. LOL!

Cindy used the Bloomin’ Heart Thinlits Die (140621) and Layering Ovals Framelits Dies (141706) to create this beautiful Easter card focal point along with the Suite Sentiments Stamp Set (140709/140712).

My team is a large part of what makes my Stampin’ Up! experience so special – they are a wonderful group of crafters who love to stamp, share and we inspire each other with what we love to do….paper craft. What could be better?

Peak Princess Day

I love to pamper my team and Peak Princess Day is all about the pampering! So today I thought I’d share some photos from our last Peak Princess Day in February so you can see what it’s all about.

The day is about pampering, fellowship and sharing as a team so we have some goodies to enjoy while we visit and stamp.

And of course I made these fun little treats for everyone. (You can see more about these Rabbit Mini Coffee Cups HERE).

And  we share too – Here are some 3d projects that Deborah and Cindy brought to show what they were making.

And here is a card Cindy shared using the Falling in Love Stamp set (143106/143109), Window Box Thinlits Dies (142762) and Succulent Garden 3/8″ Ribbon combo Pack (142781).

There has to be some prizes, right? So we drew some names from everyone who qualified for this special day of pampering!

Melanie, Donna, Mary and Deborah all were winners!

We went on to stamp together and tried our hands at some new techniques for our Make n’ Takes.

Can you believe I forgot a team picture? Sigh….next time!

Sound like fun? Would you like to join us next time? Now is a great time and there is no obligation when you join.

Would you like to be a happy Shopper? If so Sale-a-bration is a great time to join!

Team Time & Swapping

Inspire, Share and Create – That’s what we do as a team once a month at our meetings when we get together. Today’s items that I’ll be sharing with you are swaps that were made by my fellow team members, a group of wonderful stampers! While we’ve all been stamping for different lengths of time it’s amazing how much we learn from each other! Oh, and did I mention we just have fun?

This first card is one that Mary made. It’s a peekaboo pullback card using the Watercolor Wings stamp set (139424) and Bold Butterfly Framelits Dies (138135).

Done in the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper (141663) and using just two colors – it’s quite striking.

How how about this card Cindy made using the Hey, Chick (Sale-a-bration item 143328/143331) and Greatest Greetings (140703/140706) stamp sets.

Cindy used the Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper (142778) and Woodgrain Embossing Folder (127821) to create a fun textured background for this little water colored image.

And how about some fun goodies too? Deborah made these fun little bags using the Oh, So Succulent Bundle (145184) and wrapped it all up with a bow!

If you haven’t felt the Succulent Garden 3/8″ Ribbon (142781) – it’s sooo soft and luxurious feeling. I wasn’t sure about this suite of products when I first saw them, but I’ve definitely added them to my wish list!

And finally a little file folder filled with a Ghiradelli chocolate. I love the soft colors of the Cupcakes & Carousel Designer Series Paper Stack (142744) Cindy teamed up with the the  Designer T stamp set (Sale -a-bration item 143356)  sentiment. Can you guess where the sentiment on the tab comes from?

Well it’s the Pretty Kitty stamp set (141861/141864). Of course, the cloud and little bird are from the Tree Builder Punch (138295). Fun right and who wouldn’t smile when they got this little treat? If you’d like to learn how to make these little treat folders you can click HERE to see my video tutorial.

Would you like to join us? Does this sound like fun? Why not consider joining us?

Winter Weekend Retreat & More

This past weekend I held my Annual Winter Weekend retreat for my team – a fun weekend of fun, fellowship and stamping, of course. Today I thought I’d share some pictures we took during the 3 day event.

This first one is our team name tags for the tables and an extra special little goodie bag.

The bag contained these wonderful Team Aprons.

Here is our team photo from the retreat. I feel so blessed – they are the best team members!

We always have a Shoe box Swap on Saturday and so today I thought I’d share with you some of the wonderful cards everyone designed for the swap.

This first card is Cindy’s – I just love the way that she used the Urban Underground Designer Series Paper. A great  use of this paper since it is so masculine at first glance.

And how about this card Mary made using the Oh So Succulent stamp set (142992) and coordinating Framelits Dies (142757).

And this soft and lovely card that Deborah brought was made using the Avant Garden stamp set (143272) from the Sale-a-bration Catalog. This set is is just one of the FREE items you earn a Sale-a-bration item with a minimum $50 purchase.

Melanie designed this fun Valentine card using the Sealed with Love stamp set (142815) and coordinating Love Notes Framelits Dies (142752).

I love sparkle – So this fun card from Marni using the Balloon Adventures stamp set (14823) and Balloon Pop-up Thinlits Dies (142753) fills the bill and is so classic too with it’s color choice.

And this final card that Anna made is bright and cheerful – It used the really cool Celebrations Duo Embossing Folder (142760).

It’s so quick and easy to create this card with the debossed impression folders – just add some ink and voila!

If you have ever thought about joining Stampin’ Up! now is a great time to do so! You can check out this chart to see all the advantages join has during Sale-a-bration

Team Holiday Fun

Last week our Team, the Blue Mountain Stampers had it’s annual Christmas Party so I thought I’d share some of what we did with you.

This year our December meeting consisted of a luncheon, BINGO and of course stamping! Here are some pictures from the event.

BINGO was something new we tried as a team – I’m thinking it was a hit!

team-christas-party-playing-bingo-1 team-christas-party-playing-bingo-3

Everyone was a winner and got to choose goodies from the prize table, including items from the NEW 2017 Occasions Catalog!

bingo-winners-team-dec-2016-3

We celebrated Anniversaries with a little gift. Shared projects that we’ve created,

cindys-5th-anniversary-gift

and had fun making a Home Decor project during our stamping time.

team-christmas-party-make-n-takes-2

And of course I just had to get a group photo of all of us! (I got to try out my selfie stick I daughter got me – LOL!)

team-christmas-party-2016

We had a lot of fun together and I feel so blessed to have these wonderful crafters and stampers on my team. It truly is on of the best parts of being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. Doing what you love, gathering with friends, sharing,  and of course lots of laughter and fun!

Stop by tomorrow when I’ll be sharing some of the wonderful projects my team members brought to the party!

On Stage – Atlanta

Have you ever wondered about what a Stampin’ Up! event is like for Demonstrators? The first weekend in November I was able to attend our regional On Stage event in the Atlanta area! Anticipation was high as Deborah and I drove south from Clarkesville into Atlanta to participate in a Sherrie’s Shoe Box Swap the day before the actual event. It was Deborah’s first Stampin’ Up! event and I knew she was going to love it!

One of the fun things about these events that I enjoy is being able to spend time with  team members, friends and fellow demonstrators from around the country that I’ve met along my stamping journey! And of course I love to pamper my team and room mates.

Want to see what my room mate pillow gifts included? Well here is the batch I made for everyone.

on-stage-pillow-gifts-2

And a close up of of the pillow gift. (I got carried away since I was having so much fun with the pillow gifts.  What’s new right?) The little popcorn box wouldn’t hold it all. LOL!

on-stage-pillow-gifts-3

But that was OK tho since the Blooms & Bliss Designer Series paper I was using is so lovely.. I didn’t want to stop.

Traditionally I always make a name tag for the bag we’ll receive. It helps to keep track of things! Especially when it’s filled with goodies!

on-stage-pillow-gifts-name-tags

This year I used clip art from the event to create the tags  – do you recognize the star pattern paper from the Presents & Pinecones Designer Series Paper? I couldn’t resist putting a little bit of holiday magic into the tags.

Here is what was inside the popcorn box.

Since everyone is always on the move and sharing things I like to include hand sanitizer, too. This year I used these pocket sized wipes.

And who can’t use a little package of tissues?

along with some gum and a few pieces of candy.

I also found these wonderful post it note flags and couldn’t resist!

on-stage-pillow-gifts-catalog-post-it-flags

I thought the flags were perfect for marking our NEW Occasions Catalogs with!!! And OMG – I can’t wait for you to see it! I’m loving everything in it – my poor little post it flags are all used up! LOL! (I can’t wait for you to see the products at my Occasions Catalog Launch – I’ll let you know about it soon. But if you’d like to see it before it goes live, why not join my team? Demonstrators get to see things at least 30 days early!)

These pillow gifts greeted everyone in the hotel room.

And for my Team member I made a little something special – you can never have enough note books!

on-stage-team-pillow-gift-notebook

I really love the way this turned out. Can you see the watermark images done with the Paisleys & Poises stamp set (142196) on the initial? I also used the Petals & Paisleys Specialty Designer Series Paper (142017) and coordinating 3/8″ Ribbon Trio Pack (142021). LOVE this pack of paper – it’s so pretty and the colors are gorgeous together. (I can’t wait to make some more of these for holiday gifts.)

I think Deborah liked it too.

Stampin’ Up! makes an event special with a themed bag that you receive to hold all those goodies and giveaways!

And the tables are always decorated lovely – This years theme was based on the Lift Me Up stamp set.

And what can I say Stampin’ Up! out did themselves this year! Lot’s of fun, great ideas, sharing and more. And I can’t believe all the wonderful goodies we were given! Between our bag goodies, prize patrol and all event giveaways I was thrilled with lot’s of great products. And then at the very end of the event Stampin’ Up! announced we could share the items on the table that we’d used for our make n takes too!!! Wow! Starting with the most recent birthday we went around the table and chose items until they were gone! What fun.

My bag was over flowing by the end of the event.

And finally here is my Team photo of Deborah & I. (Unfortunately the Atlanta event sold out so quickly that not everyone on the Team who wanted to attend was able to go.)

Holiday Catalog Fun at the Team Retreat

A couple of weekends ago I held my annual Blue Mountain Stampers’ Weekend Getaway for my team. It’s a fun event that I really look forward to each August.  A full weekend of stamping with friends – what could be better, right? As usual I forgot to pull out my camera when everyone was together.  But here is a photo of Melanie and Cindy.

BMS August Retreat 2016 (5)

Melanie was designing a special baby project she needed and Cindy came prepared to create LOTS of birthday cards! Mission accomplished I think.

It also gives us a time that we can share our NEW Holiday Catalog productions, create with them and do a Shoe box Swap together. There is lots of stamping, laughing and well, just silliness. And who doesn’t need a little of that?

Like as we enjoyed the beautiful afternoon  on the patio-

BMS August Retreat 2016 (14)

these two wanderers along with their friend came to visit and say hello. (Yes, I know who’d have thought – chickens? go figure ?? Of course, Larry corrected me multiple times since they are roosters I’ve got no clue where they belong.)

Want to see what we created and stamped? Here are some wonderful items from our Shoe box Swap on Saturday afternoon.

Melanie created this fun card using the Paisleys & Posies stamp set (142196).

BMS August Retreat 2016 (8)

She used the Thoughtful Banner stamp set (141614) for the sentiment and the Bow Builder Punch (137414) covered in Clear Wink of Stella (141897) once the Bow was put together. Can you see the shimmer on the bow? I know my photo doesn’t do justice to the cards.

Cindy made this lovely soft card using the Thoughtful Branches stamp set (143539).

BMS August Retreat 2016 (7)

Cindy used the soft images from the Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper (141660) for the background and added the large swirl from the Swirly Birds Thinlits Dies (141497).

You’re in luck if you didn’t take advantage of the August promotion- it is still available while supplies last. If this set/bundle is something you really want you won’t want to delay any longer!

The next card was Anna’s Shoe box swap and it uses the cute little mice from the Merry Mice stamp set (142142/142145).

BMS August Retreat 2016 (11)

For an added pop of color Fancy Frost Sequins (142519) are scattered randomly on top of the Softly Falling Embossed background.

And finally Marni created this cute little 3d project using the new Home Sweet Home Thinlits Dies (140279) and the Cookie Cutter Christmas Bundle (143493).

Team Retreat Fun!

I love to pamper my team – And one of the fun things we do together are retreats! I hold three of them a year so that we can spend time away from the daily grind together.

We love sharing, stamping together and well, honestly just having some fun. After all who doesn’t like a weekend where they can lounge around in their Pjs and stamp?

BMS Weekend Retreat June 2016 (2)

We bring all our new goodies to share and while we all have different projects – it’s a wonderful time crafting together and inspiring each others creativity!

What kind of things do we do? Well Janette’s project this retreat was to get all her 4th of July cards completed and ready to send out when she returned home.

BMS Weekend Retreat June 2016 show & tell table (1)

And Anna’s was to create a birthday card from her son using the NEW Shooting Star Bundle (142349/142350).

BMS Weekend Retreat June 2016 Show & Tell table

On Saturday we have a team Shoe box Swap. It’s a lot of fun. Everyone shares how their card was designed and special tips for assembly before we get started.

Here is Marni sharing how to assemble the penny sandwich for the Sliding Star Framelits (141820) for her card.

BMS Weekend Retreat June 2016 (1)

What fun learning new things together! And it’s a great chance to try new products we don’t have.

BMS Weekend Retreat Shoebox Swap June 2016 (5)

Marni’s card is done in Dapper Denim and uses the Shoot Star Stamp Set (141616) in addition to the Birthday Banners Stamp Set (141506) and Bunch of Banners Framelits Dies (141488). I love the way she used to Gold Glimmer Paper (133719) for the stars to add a bit of bling.

BMS Weekend Retreat Shoebox Swap June 2016 (4)

Anna’s card uses the By the Shore Suite found in the Annual Catalog (page 92 & 93). I really love nautical suite of coordinating products! She used the By the Seashore Designer Series Paper (141640) and Seaside Shore stamp set (141622/141625) in addition to the Seaside Embossing Folder (141481) to create this fun summer themed card for the shoe box.

Melanie who just joined our team in June (and took advantage of the wonderful special to earn 2 addition stamp sets), chose to do a patriotic card using the Perpetual Calendar stamp set (137167) and Star Framelits Dies (133723).

BMS Weekend Retreat Shoebox Swap June 2016 (2)

Janette’s shoe box was a soft and sweet sympathy card done in Sweet Sugarplum. It uses the Best Badges Bundle (142333/142334) and the Thought & Prayers stamp set (128751/127805).

BMS Weekend Retreat Shoebox Swap June 2016 (1)

Can you see the little flowers on the vine? The flowers are part of the Tree Builder punch (138295) and the scallop edge was made using the Best Badge Punch (140633) – how cool is that?

And of course we have a Shoe & Tell table – where we put our creations from the weekend. Here is a fun birthday card using the Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper and Build a Birthday stamp set (138646).

BMS Weekend Retreat June 2016 show & tell table (2)

Oops I almost forgot – What did I do for my shoe box? Well I was in the mood for a fun bold color pallet so I created this little flip flop card using the Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper and the Seaside Shore stamp set. (I’ve included the complete recipe below for you.)
